I've been informed by a mod that posts discussing resume or win quality in the rankings are no longer permitted. All discussion must flow through the original rankings posts.

you'd like to comment on a particular ranking, a great place to do that would be in the comments section of the thread about that ranking!

This is quite the change. I've posted a lot of content through the years comparing resumes via different metrics for various teams, notably around SOS / SOR and W/L quality.

For example, various posts were previously done here:

• AP Ranked Teams vs SOR - 2026 Wk 4

• 4 AP Ranked Teams Still Have Zero Wins over Teams in Top 40 of Massey Composite: Oregon, Georgia Tech, Mizzou and Tennessee

• Quad Wins for AP Ranked Teams (2025 Wk 12)

I was informed that those prior posts also should have been removed and would no longer be permitted. I've posted various forms of these for 8+ years on /r/cfb as people seemed to find the content interesting.

What's the rationale on the change in policy?

Why are other posts around voter ballots permitted as separate posts yet analysis around win quality is now banned?

I did think posting the FPI SOR as if they were separate from the FPI update for the week was a bit weird, but if that was in response to a mod saying you had to comment your analysis under the original rating that makes more sense to me. Sorry you got caught up in a mod, your posts are usually interesting!
