You are telling me with a straight face that you don't read comments every single day about someone "Not playing" "It's doomed" "Not classic anymore" etc? Look, it's good to want the game to be the best version it could possibly be, criticism also helps. People just have VASTLY different ideas of what gives classic its identity. Some think it's the classes themselves, and want the figured out end of vanilla meta. Some think it's the dungeons, or the quests, or lack of transmog, they hate HD models. I mean, whatever it is. I think what people are sick of is the dooming, and lack of understanding that there is supposed to be some degree of change. Instead of parroting the same shitty attitude over and over that some are doing, maybe proactive approaches with at least a neutral attitude would make people less worn out from this subreddit.
Take for instance the sky elves. Maybe instead of the same thread over and over (The meme ones aren't the ones I'm talking about, at least those require SOME degree of creativity and deviate from the monotonous deafening doom echo doom chamber.) someone decides hey, what if I maybe came up with other creative things that we would like to see FOR the skyborne or other races, and maybe poll that to the subreddit. Not saying do what some others do and say "THIS IS WHAT IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN, MY COOL IDEA IS SUPERIOR", but rather be creative, positive, and leave it open-ended.
I get you, personally i find the discourse funny.
Its livend up the forum. But all this stem from an inherent and well deserved distrust in blizzard doing the right thing. They said this was classic+, and they dont have proper classic models, half assed patchjobs and more. The crybabies as it were, feel it their duty to not let them slide shit like that under the rug and actually voice opinions so that things dont snowball into retail direction once more. Catering to anything other than the established Warcraft universe is the wrong move for a classic+.
I do think there are many things done right, the potential is there.

I'll say what I say to conservatives for this: you want so desperately to be 'the victim' with everything and it's just sad really.
