What is this actually good for, like they say gaming, but wouldn’t a PS5 show the same graphics? Unless you can mint some bitcoin with this I just don’t see the value? I’m prob being igorant I know but what is the value of this..

It’s a flagship card for gaming. It was anyway. The 90 series is the upper end of enthusiasts pc building, and it was pretty much what you wanted for the best graphics performance. But now they’re basically cards for ai companies, and that’s who is taking them all to the point the series is probably done being made for the gaming market. But some people still want that level of performance for their gaming or work computers, but again, ai companies are hoarding them, so buying one cost wayyyyyyy more than it used to because there’s just not that many and supply and demand is doing its thing.

AI companies are not using 5090s. Nvidia makes special chips for that segment.

Wrong. Ai companies and data centers are buying them literaly by the pallet

You have it on Google and in every search engine, with every ai as well. That's the source. It's also common knowledge at that point.

Especially ai startups and smaller companies are using consumer designed gpus...

The burden of proof is on the person making the claim. Not a difficult concept to understand. For most people at least.

Not needed for common knowledge. Basically every day we are bombarded with this news.

"burden of proof"? Is this the supreme court? What a wetwipe lmao.

This isn’t fucking law lmao. This is Reddit. The burden of proof is a legal statute. Not a fucking Reddit thing. Go find your own info. More reliable like that anyway.

The person that was making the claim was the person insinuating that companies are not buying 5090's for AI. It's widely known in the community that the scarcity of these cards is driven by companies purchasing them for AI.

You're "debunking" a widely understood issue, by just saying "nuh uh, prove it". Even more obnoxiously, it's obviously easily googleable and you're just being dense.

Plenty of articles you can find with 10 seconds of research to find one that you’ll approve of. Giving sources to people who ask for sources is just the fastest way to hit your head against a wall, if you really wanted a source you’d find one in the time this comment took.
