How did you guys get into DM? What's your story with the band?

I'm a girl born in the late '90s, and I've always known about them because my parents are fans. But it wasn't until years later, after listening to so many '80s bands, that I finally became a fan myself. I have such a long story with The Smiths, New Order, The Cure... Then, last year, I fell down the Depeche Mode rabbit hole and never came back 😂🖤

I know we've gone over this a thousand times, but I just pulled out Sounds of the Universe for the first time in a couple years. It's a GREAT album. In Chains, Hole to Feed, Wrong to start with, then Come Back and Perfect, ending with Jezebel and Corrupt? It's absurd to throw shade on this album.

While SOFAD and Ultra may have represented the darkest period for the band itself, they also have some more soulful and warm tracks (Condemnation and Home for example). The Darkest Star, The Sinner in Me, Nothing's Impossible, and I Want It All are without a doubt some of the darkest songs in their entire discography. And even the more upbeat singles on this album, such as A Pain That I'm Used To, Suffer Well and Precious have sinister or somber undertones. The only album that might surpass this one in terms of darkness could be Black Celebration... What do you think?

It seems the world has recently discovered something we locals have known for over 30 years: Depeche Mode had a photoshoot with Anton Corbijn in Prague back in 1988! 😁 For about a year now, Reels about the "pilgrimage site for Depeche Mode fans on Charles Bridge" have been popping up on social media, and the story has even appeared in *MOJO* magazine and *The Independent*.

It was 1985 but I still remember it, even if I was really young. I never met them personally because my shyness always made things awkward, like when I saw Martin walking dressed like in the first picture that day, well I froze, I couldn't move and I couldn't talk. But I made up for it, because I saw them performed there.

For me, these photos are really special, because I remember them 3 days very well. I have always known of the photos that have been in the public domain for many years.

I'm aware that some of these photos were put up in a post last week, but to me, all of these photos have a special and personal meaning.
