Hey! I just managed to snag a last minute ticket resale on Twickets for Wednesday, going to be driving down from the Midlands and going solo. Just wondering if anyone knows the best place to park nearby as I've never been before and any idea on set times etc?

Shikari are my favourite band and after the announcement I'm desperate to see them as many times as poss, I've also had the absolute worst last few months of my life, so really hoping some Shikari therapy will help 😄

This is not a specific dig at anyone, but I feel like I have been seeing a lot of comments and posts recently that have all but decided that Enter Shikari are breaking up for good and not coming back. So many folks are acting like the band have said "this is it guys we are 100% breaking up, you will never ever see us perform live again, goodbye forever after 2027". That's definitely not how I interpreted the announcement!

I get people are worried and upset that our faves going away for a bit, it's totally understandable. Yes they have said that they don't know if/when they will come back. Yes they said it's possible this could be it. But they also said in that message that they don't think they're breaking up for good. They basically said "we don't have a diary after Dec '27 and we are taking a well deserved break with no defined end date with the aim of working on our own lives for a bit".

I feel it is highly unlikely that they're never gonna perform or write music again together. They're far too much of a creative force to just pack it in for good. Add to the fact that there has not been any kind of great fall out or drama that we are aware of, the biggest issues seem to have been Rou's health and the fact that they've basically been on the go non-stop for 20 years. A rest makes total sense and I think we will find that they'll come back after however long and blow our socks off with something spectacular.

Maybe it'll be a year or two, maybe it'll be 8 years like MCR (hopefully not but who knows). But trust and believe this isn't it, and y'all can quote me on that. I'll see yous in November in the pit 🤘

Echoing my last post; this community means so much to me.

I remember seeing and listening to Sorry you’re not a winner on Kerrang (or YouTube, or Bebo, fuck knows, memory’s gone lads) many a moon ago for the first time.

Just watched the new (amazing) video on YouTube for the umpteenth time and it all clicked.

For 20 years, 32+ shows, hundreds and maybe more pounds, this has been the experience of a lifetime.

I’ve met great people, interviewed Rou and met them a handful of times, made friends, fell in love, lost family, and all the while, Shikari were there for it all.

I know this may sound melodramatic and stupid, but the music has added so much more to my life than I ever truly realised.

I guess what I’m trying to say is that I love you all. Now let’s cause some fucking havoc

**EDIT - I meant I may potentially have one ticket for sale which I bought before becoming aware I may be eligible for a companion carer ticket - SORRY for the miscommunication I'm not good at this!

I'm not going to go in depth too much about how I'm feeling about the news as I don't think I can put into words just how much Shikari has meant to me over the past 15+ years and how much they will continue to impact and support me throughout navigating this crazy life (I still remember discovering them for the first time - my friend was playing Juggernauts on his phone and it became the first song ever 'bluetoothed' to me back in the day 😅) I'm sure you all get how I'm feeling!

I was supposed to be seeing them again in Cardiff in November but unfortunately I suffered a severe brain bleed in June resulting in emergency brain surgery - I'm recovering but sadly an arena show will just be too much to handle in my current state.

HOWEVER I was lucky enough to get tickets for their Oxford warm up show (Oxford John Radcliffe Hospital saved my life a few months back so it feels extra special full circle that I'm getting to see my favourite band again in the city - its like the stars have aligned)

Due to finding out I'm eligible for a companion ticket as I need some support from a carer/family member to attend, I may have one spare ticket!!!!! I'm hopefully getting confirmation today from o2 academy team so just putting this out there if anyone is interested - I can let you know before I put it on sale on Ticketmaster so you can grab!

Also if you're at the show and see a 30 year girl wearing a super fly white protective helmet...that's me - feel free to say hello 😁 I'm determined to make this concert a banger (just without the headbanging from myself HA)

Following the announcement I knew I needed to see the lads one last time (potentially) so I'm making the pilgrimage down from Sheffield to catch them on night one at Alexandra Palace.

Flying solo as my wife couldn't come with me and my friends were all busy. If there are any meet ups happening or if there are any other solo folk going to the gig, let me know!

Seen Shikari 30+ times over the years and always loved the community that has built up over time. Looking forward to a few pints and chatting to other fans down in the big smoke 🤘

I’ve checked the setlist from the smaller shows in May, and while I know this is a first-world problem and the setlist is still good, I’d personally love a different one, especially since this will probably be my last Enter Shikari gig. Given that the November show is several months later and much bigger, do you think they’ll switch things up a bit?

Does anyone else have a copy of this track with different mixing to it?
I’ve had this track for more than a decade now(got it while sailing the high seas) and the mixing is very different from the album and single version. (More punchy, less mids,bit more echo) And no it’s not the demo version from 2004. I’m pretty sure it’s not an official remaster/remix but I’m not positive. It has been nearly 20 years.

Now that they are taking the time to reflect, what bands are carrying on the activism and message?

I ADORE this design and I also really love the song void. I never bought it from the shop and now it's no longer available. If I could find someone who has it and might potentially want to sell it to me (any size) I would be forever grateful ❤️
