Treated myself to a couple new books as a reward for completely my first full marathon.

Halfway through City of Owls and have heard REALLY great things about New Frontier.

Just finished Bouncer by Jodorowksy and Boucq and this was quite the treat in both art and story! It's a gritty collection of Western stories all focused around the one armed gunslinger and saloon bouncer named Bouncer. It takes place in the lawless and cruel Barro City, a post-American Civil War town in the Wild West.

Bouq's gorgeous art adds so much to the gritty feeling of this story of familial vengeance, the cruelty of the wild west, post-Civil War tensions, greed and even our titular gunslinger's multiple searches for love. There's also some humor added in between the cruelty with no shortage of absurd characters. As a side note it's a very high quality and nice looking hardcover edition.

Since I had an absolute blast with this gritty Western series are there any other comics in the same vein I should check out?

I know it's not the easiest to find, as it's currently out of print. Ideally I'd want an oversized format, but found there's only 1 Absolute sized copy that it has the first 3 volumes?

Then there's premier edition, but are they complete and oversized?

Finally I know the compendiums exist, but paperback and read some issues about binding.

Any thoughts? Thanks

Anyone reading the new Vertigo titles too? Got #1 of each series to get an early taste and Bleeding Hearts is the best out of roaster, in my opinion.

These seven books are Summer 2027 releases in addition to the twenty books shown in the previous post here: https://www.reddit.com/r/OmnibusCollectors/comments/1x7sn6e/fantagraphics\\_catalog\\_update\\_some\\_new\\_books\\_added/
