Gaming I fucking hate Hogwarts Legacy

A year ago i bought Hogwarts Legacy for like 8 dollars and it fucking stinks, i got 10 hours on it and im still being railroaded and all the character faces look like roadkill. I genuinely believe that game was conceived to actively hurt you (though i am trans so maybe its on purpose), i fell asleep for 4 hours two separate times while playing it and woke up at 3AM with sweat all over me because i was having a nightmare. Probably the second worst thing JK Rowling's done

Jk Rowling's a complete asshole but I bought it before and I'm sorry but it's one of my favorite games. Not saying I support what she does.

You don’t have to apologise every time you mention you like the game. It’s performative and cringe.

If the person who has a problem with it is typing their response from an iPhone, or have ordered something from Amazon, or have eaten Chocolate, they’re in no position to judge you for your purchasing choices.

“I’m sorry I just wanted to reply to this comment even though I hate Apple and child labour in cobalt mines”. Imagine if we did that after every comment lol.

Explain? If I was going to accuse myself of comparing 2 different situations I’d say JK Rowling’s is, by far, the more tame.

Comparing people playing Hogwarts Legacy to people buying a phone or buying products for delivery that they can't get access to otherwise is extremely bad faith lol

Why?

You don’t need an iPhone to function. Nor do you need Amazon products.

It’s not bad faith. It’s just an incredibly obvious hypocrisy that you refuse to address because, again, boycotting those items would actually be an inconvenience to you, and your standard of living is more important to you than human rights. You draw the line at Harry Potter, a series that’s very easy not to interact with because the author finished with it over a decade ago.

Or they draw it at harry potter because it's a series they just never had an interest in, therefore, not interacting with it is not a big deal for them at all, so it's fine for them to criticize it, they won't be personally affected!

Meanwhile they have an Aria PFP, a character from Zenless Zone Zero - a Gacha game, which is inherently predatory with its mechanics and in part, fuels gambling addictions. How terrible of them!
