Question Does anybody else feel like the lockdown era was the best time of their life?
I am aware that there are many people who lost their jobs, their loved ones, and possibly had their entire lives misplaced. I truly sympathise for them.
However, if I were to purely speak for myself, I think the lockdown was the best time of my life till date. I am really introverted, so I don't really like the outgoing, partying-around-with-others type of lifestyle that many other people do. For me, I feel much better when I am by myself, alone, enjoying by myself. I was in highschool, so classes were online which most people bunked anyways, so basically the entirety of those days would just be free for me. I literally had all that time where I would just attend classes, watch movies, play games and stuff, and even explore new hobbies. For me personally, that entire time felt like I was quite literally living in paradise. While I don't hate the post-covid life, I don't think I will ever get that much amount of ample free time for myself, ever again. At least, probably not until my retirement.
Does anybody else share the same feeling?

Question No disrespect but does anybody miss quarantine?
I know coronavirus was serious & ppl lost lives but avoiding ppl and going straight home after work?
That was my life before, during & after the pandemic.
I love isolation, it never gets old & I’m never bored.
Sounds inconsiderate &/or selfish to say but those were some of the best days of my adult life.
& like I said at the beginning, no disrespect at all to the ppl that lost loved ones ❤️

Question Girls without a friend group, what do you do when you want to have fun?
I’m genuinely curious because I feel like so much of what we consider “fun” involves having other people around. If you don’t really have friends to make plans with, what do you personally enjoy doing? I’d love to hear about hobbies, solo activities, places you like going, or anything else that keeps you busy and happy.

Question Who else GENUINELY has 0 friends? Not one or two or three but zero.
It seems like when most people say they have no friends, they don't actually truly mean it. A lot of them have at least one person that they can call a friend, but is there somebody here who has none at all? (Besides your partner). And no acquaintances either so you basically do not communicate with a human being in any way. Except cashiers and stuff.

Question Do I look like I want a conversation?
I’m friendly to everyone at work but more people have been socializing with me lately and I don’t have a problem with it, well I wouldn’t if it weren’t for my anxiety taking a bat and giving me the office space treatment

Question The older you are, the more you like to stay at home?
I used to go out more, but the older I’m the more I refer to stay at home. The only exception is grocery shopping or some quiet parks or libraries, and gyms

Question Does anyone else have literally no friends?
When I tell ppl this, I think they don’t believe me, but I literally don’t have a single friend. I’m 28 and haven’t had a friend in years. I’m used to being by myself, and I tend to self isolate. Recently I ended a short fling with a guy that I really liked which sucks because now I’m back to not talking to anyone. Obviously I have family and coworkers, but on a daily basis I don’t text people or talk on the phone with anyone or hang out. It’s kinda peaceful, but after a while it does get lonely. Anyone else?

Question Anyone here who gets irritated to people who pays a visit unannounced?
I was cooking my late lunch earlier, and someone visited me.. The intention was good, however I didn't know she will visit me and it's not a great time. I was hungry and having a great time cooking alone. But when she gets in, my multi cooker gets malfunction and then all I hear is yapping. It gets into me. I tried to be calm as I could. I just told her politely "when you visit please inform me first." And then she instantly say "don't worry I won't visit you anymore." I immediately told her it's not what I meant. At the end, I shared her my meal. I just get so stressed out, when I was having a peaceful time alone and people visits without saying. I was unprepared. 😩

Question Why do people care so much about eating lunch together?
I’m a pretty introverted guy and I recently started a new job. I’ve always eaten lunch alone wherever I’ve worked, and I’m doing the same here.
One thing I’ve noticed is how much people seem to feel like they have to sit with the team during lunch. They actually noticed that I was always eating alone and invited me to sit with them. I went with them for the first few days, but honestly, I just feel way more comfortable eating by myself.
Sometimes I’ll just sit somewhere alone and watch everyone, and I genuinely don’t get the need to always be around other people. A lot of the time they barely even talk. They just sit with the team because I guess they don’t want to look weird sitting alone. And when they do talk, it’s usually just random small talk. Then they finish eating and still sit around together until it’s time to go back to work.
I’m not judging them or anything. I just genuinely don’t get it. If I have a break from work, I’d much rather sit somewhere by myself, eat in peace and recharge than spend the whole break around people.

Question How can I appear more friendlier and appealing?
galleryI know looks aren’t everything, but I worry that because I’m naturally quiet and observant, people assume I’m rude or unfriendly.
I have what feels like a resting sad/serious face, and I’m scared it makes me come across as mean, even though I’m actually friendly and have a lot of interests. I enjoy learning new things, and I feel like if people actually got to know me, they wouldn’t dislike me.
The problem is I’m socially awkward, especially at work. Sometimes it feels physically hard to speak, even though I have a million thoughts in my head. Most of those thoughts are personal, so it’s not like I know what to say in casual conversations.
I try to smile and be friendly with customers, but a lot of the time they don’t really acknowledge me. Sometimes they look at me and then look away, and I start wondering if there’s something wrong with me or if I look strange.
I know this might sound dramatic, but I genuinely feel like people look at me weirdly, and it makes me feel bad about myself. I guess I’m wondering if anyone else feels like their quietness gets misunderstood, or if anyone has learned how to seem more approachable without pretending to be someone they’re not. 🥲🥲❤️🩹❤️🩹

Question Anyone make it to 27 and never dated?
Low libido, short, ginger, not rich, live with a parent, mental health issues, don't drive anymore. The list goes on with me. But yeah, I'm 27 and have never really dated. At least not in my own country that is, albeit briefly when I was 21.
I just don't want to have to sit across the table from someone and try to impress them. It's never been something I've wanted to do. I'm a boring guy anyway, so I'd probably have to put on an act like I'm someone else, which isn't in me to do. Not many women in my town would want a guy that is like me, because I don't say much.
Anyway, how old are you guys? And why have you not dated?

Question How are introverts dating?
or making friends?
I'm female, in my mid 30's and have given up at this point, I don't have any friends and I've never been on a date been an introvert my whole life with social anxiety. I always hear of introverts in relationships or married but I can't see it happening for myself, going to be single for life at this point which I have accepted.
Friends have come and gone but were never real genuine friends, they were fake users and the few good ones I lost contact with.
I have tried online dating but it never even got to the meeting stage, there were a few men who wanted to meet me but I got too scared and made some excuse not to meet. I deleted the apps and never went back on them, it also wasn't helping that I wasn't really attracted to anyone, there were a few but they never replied or had kids. I'm not interested in that kind of baggage. I have to find the person attractive or it won't work. A lot of people would say it's having high standards but it's not, I'm not interested in dating loads of people, the first person I date should be the one.
I'm not asking for much, just want to share my life with someone, it doesn't have to be anything romantic, just a friendship but even that is impossible.

Question Anyone else disappointed when they're dating someone and find out that they have a lot of friends and a very active social life?
I went on a date with someone and it went well. We're messaging daily and it looks like things will keep going, at least for a while. We exchanged social media during the date and that's when I started getting doubts in terms of compatibility.
I look at her photos, watch her videos and stories and get drained. It's like a nightmare to me, joingin to such events. Such a big group, and everyone's woo-ing and shouting and hugging and dancing and there's nothing wrong with it, it's just a matter of compatibility.
I like her a lot, but we're both looking for something long term. So if we decide to stay together, would I need to meet all these people and join for these things? I watch her stories and hold my sheets and cats closer and thank god I'm not there with her.
How common is this sentiment among us introverts?

Question Anyone here never dated?
27M. Don't think I ever will. The thought of a romantic relationship with anyone just doesn't appeal to me. I'm not a virgin, but only because I paid for it last year. Got bored of that and don't really want it again. However, I don't have family and I only have one friend, so I do get lonely sometimes, but I don't think a romantic relationship is what I feel I'm missing out on. It's more like mourning the life I could have had with a better support network from those around me.

I am a 22 yo female. Never been in a relationship nor been to a date. For me I am not an emotionally stable person ,I don't like sharing much. When someone expresses their feelings towards me it feels like a burden .

Question Introverts 40+ who chose a solitary lifestyle — do you regret it?
I’m curious about introverts who intentionally stayed single, kept a small social circle, or built a quieter life mostly on their own terms.
As you got older, did it bring you more peace or more loneliness?

Question Anyone else in their 30's and still never been in a relationship?
I'm 32F and have never been in a relationship with anyone. Ever. I've had a short "fling" with a guy 2 years ago, it only lasted a month. That's the closest to a relationship I've ever been. I simply don't know how other people just find someone you like, and they just so happen to like you back.
I'm not necessarily lonely or sad about being single - but it does seem nice to be in a relationship with someone; to have someone to cuddle with, talk to, hug me, kiss me and you know what else. I live with my dog, Luna, and I can honestly say that I'm happy with my life as it is right now.
But I still feel that loneliness creeping up now and then, making me sigh and daydream about an almost fairytale-like romance.
Again, like the title says; is anyone else in their 30's and have still never been in a relationship? I feel like the most introverted introvert, because I've been alone all my life.
