Routine Share Sunday Night Ritual

Post image
16 Upvotes

Just wanted to share my Sunday Night skincare routine which focuses on hydration and barrier repair (kinda). My skin: acne prone, oily, sensitive skin.

  1. Cleanse (cleanser of preference - for me tonight was Zeroid Pimprove but I usually use Arencia Green)
  2. Ilso Sebum Softener - I use this weekly on my nose only (I avoid the side cheeks cause it’s harsh and irritating; 10 minutes then use the tool to get the gunk off)
  3. Centillian24 Madeca Matcha Toning Peeling Gel - my entire face and I avoid the nose since I already exfoliated with Ilso
  4. I’m From Mugwort Essence
  5. Sheet mask - tonight I opted for the Japanese Rice Masks I got when I was in Hong Kong at Donki, but I usually do the I’m From Mugwort Essence sheet mask (left it on for 10 minutes)
  6. Biodance Collagen Peptide Serum Mist (about 5 sprays; wait 3 minutes to dry)
  7. Hydroquinone 4% (6 minutes to absorb)
  8. Azelaic Acid 15% (3 minutes to absorb, although sometimes I do 10 minutes, but 3 mins. is enough)
  9. Aestura Atobarrier 365 Cream - this is my last step to lock in everything. I apply a generous amount since it’s my barrier support cream.

Sometimes depending on how my skin feels, I would use the Rejuran Turnover Ampoule instead of my sheet masks, which I actually use 3x a week (during my tretinoin nights). You just have to pay attention to your skin because sometimes the combination of Ilso and Madeca peeling gel can be too irritating. But I just wanted to share my Sunday night routine with my community.

Routine Help Skin barrier & hyperreactive skin

• Upvotes

Hi there,

I‘m normally just quiet and read, search like but I guess I need experts here for help.

I’ve been on accutane low dose for a long time and my skin is actually near perfect ( with breakouts around the time of the month) but my skin lacks hydration heavily. The dryness is actually on my whole body, worst part is the lower legs. Anyhow, I can’t seem to find a routine that helps me get more hydrated skin. I currently don’t use anything on my face despite SKIN1004 - Madagascar Centella Ampoule, but don’t really feel it’s a big help. If I introduce stronger products my skin immediately starts to react. On my legs I currently try the mixa urea bodylotion but it actually burns like hell for the first 5 minutes.

Does anybody has a recommendation ? For face and body ? I think I need to fix my barrier and heavily need hydration 🫠🫠

Product Discussion Thoughts on the Ongredients Skin Barrier Calming Lip Essence?

Post image
2 Upvotes

I have really dry lips even though I drink a ton of water throughout the day. It's especially bad when I wake up in the morning and my lips have tons of skin peeling off. I'm looking for a lip balm that I can apply overnight before I go to bed, and I came across this one from Ongredients but couldn't find many reviews of it. Has anyone here tried it, and if so, did it work for you? Is Ongredients a trustworthy brand in general?

Ingredients:

Petrolatum, Polyisobutene, Microcrystalline Wax, Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Caprylyl Glycol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Water/Eau/Aqua, Glycerin, Hydrogenated Lecithin, 1,2-Hexanediol, Butylene Glycol, Ceramide NP, Centella Asiatica Extract, Hyaluronic Acid, Acetyl Hexapeptide-8, Hexapeptide-9, Nonapeptide-1, Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-4, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-5

Routine Help Looking to add an anti-aging product to my routine

• Upvotes

TLDR: Looking to add an anti-aging product to my routine, preferably from brands I've already tried.

Skin Type: Oily

Age/Gender: early 30s

Main Concern: Anti-aging

A little background: I've been wanting to add either azelaic acid or retinol to my routine. But I came across a post asking if azelaic acid is worth using even if you don't have acne. The comments got me thinking so I decided to skip it for now and look into retinol instead.

So far, I've seen Cos De Baha's Retinol + TXA, and NAD 10%(which I read can help with anti-aging).

This would be my first time using retinol so I'm worried about potential irritation and purging. I'd like to stick to brands I've already tried:

* Cos De Baha

* COSRX

* Purito

* Numbuzin

Would you recommend any retinol products from these brands for a beginner?

Or would it be better to stick to products without strong actives that can still help with anti-aging, such as Numbuzin No. 9 NAD? (I've already tried their toner so I'm thinking of buying their essence.)

Thank you!

Hi Guys ! I am going to Korea in May 2027 and I have been REALLY overwhelmed with the 101 new products they are introducing like retinols, Azeliac Acid and what not.

But i really want to hear what you guys here are using ! For context I have dry skin but I live in a humid country where it is hot all year round and I do have acne and have a bunch of acne scars I would like to lighten and just keep my face feeling nice a hydrated.

Love to hear your recommendations !

Routine Help Which is better to continue with?

For about 2 years now, I’ve been using Estée Lauder’s Advanced Night Repair Serum and Youth Power Crème moisturizer. I recently purchased Epii HPT6 Ultra Drop + Cream 5%, thinking it could maybe help my skin out a little bit more. But it doesn’t feel as hydrating as my Estée Lauder products, so I’m wondering if I should continue with it or use it on my neck instead.

Skin type: Oily/Combo (drier on my cheeks, very oily on my T zone)

Current morning routine: Cleanser, Advanced Night Repair Serum, Youth Power Creme, sunscreen.

Night routine: Cleanser, HPT6 Ultra Drop, Epii HPR Pro Shot (every 3 days), HPT6 Ultra Cream

Would love some suggestions or correction if I’m doing something wrong. I’m ok with giving up on the product too. TIA!

Ask the Community Seoul skincare help

I know there are so many threads already about skincare clinics in Seoul, but I just literally need a rec on a clinic that has skin analysis and a 1:1 consultation with an MD who speaks English or has an interpreter and somewhere that’s not insanely expensive. They all seem to have about the same treatments anyway. Close to central ish Seoul but doesn’t really matter myeongdong/gangnam/sinsa/etc wherever. TIA!

Are there any Korean facial oils you like to use as a last step in your routine ?

I was thinking of trying a facial oil as a last step for winter since I have in the past and my skin loved it! (The one I use to use is now discontinued 🥴)

Skincare type: Oily in the summer, combo and dehydrated in the winter, acne prone

Routine Help My skin care routine. What to add?(dry skin)

Post image
49 Upvotes

I'm in my 30s and my skin is just super dry. Looking at my current routine, I feel like it's missing a lot.
I’m heading to Korea soon and want to pick up some products at Olive Young, especially hydrating toners or moisturizers.

-AM:
CeraVe hydrating cleanser
d'Alba spray serum
Anua serum
CeraVe moisturizing cream
-PM:
CeraVe hydrating cleanser
d’Alba spray serum (or The ordinary glycolic acid 7% a few times a week)
Anua serum
CeraVe moisturizing cream (or La roche-posay cicaplast baume B5)

It feels like my skin just absorbs everything instantly and still feels tight.
what are your holy grail toners or heavy creams for dry skin that I should grab in Korean? would love any recommendations!

Ask the Community I damaged my skin barrier and now my skin feels loose than before.

I need help if anyone has any answers but I over exfoliated my skin and damaged my skin barrier in 2024 and have been recovering since. My skin barrier is pretty much healed but before I damaged my skin, my skin used to have a natural supported tightness to it and didn’t fold when I smiled, but now it’s noticeably more loose/stretchy and whenever I have any slight expression my skin moves along with my expression. Idk if it’s collagen or water content I need, pls help.

I was wondering if there is anyway I can get that natural skin elasticity or tightness back.

I'm quite sensitive to alcohol (makes my cheeks SO red in the heat) so I'm trying to find a new sunscreen. I've seen these ones blow up on social media, and I want to know everyone's thoughts on them since I know Tiktok isn't reliable.

combo skin (normal-oily), living in a humid, hot country. I'm also quite acne-prone.

Routine Help Transition to KBeauty advice needed

Skin is mostly combo in the tzone, leaning to the drier side due to climate. I’m wanting to reduce wrinkles (forehead and crows feet) while tightening things up/preventing more wrinkles. I refuse to do Botox/fillers or cometic surgery. Ongoing battle with dark circles. Looking for any tips on what to replace these products with for KBeauty ones. Laniege seems to be a good brand my skin likes. Their ligloss is *chef’s kiss* fantastic. I’m a bit overwhelmed with choice atm so any insight, advice, direction is much appreciated.

I do have a food allergy that makes me have itchy, redness around my mouth and breakouts all over when consumed.

I can post pics of my skin if it’s helpful.

Here’s my routine:

AM
Peach and lily oil cleanser
Peach and lily toner
Laneige Perfect Renew 3x Signature Serum Advanced (1.5mL)
Onekind glow getter radiant c serum
Onekind complexion enhancing serum
One kind radical repair ultra brightening eye balm
OR
Dime luminosity eye serum
ETUDE Moistfull Collagen Face Cream
Supergoop sunscreen and primer

PM
Peach and lily oil cleanser
Peach and lily exfoliant
Peach and lily toner
Laneige Perfect Renew 3x Signature Serum Advanced (1.5mL)
Peach and lily retinol eye serum/cream
OR
One kind radical repair ultra brightening eye balm
ETUDE Moistfull Collagen Face Cream
Alternating nights:
Tretinoin & Onekind vitamin C serum

Masking:
Dermal collagen masks (almost nightly when allergy is in full swing)
Biodance collagen masks (every now and then)

Special stuff:
I do have a NuFace device I use infrequently as well as an LED mask.

Routine Help Best eye patches?

I have pretty dark and deep undereyes while the rest of my skin is clear. I want to try out undereye patches but haven’t seen any improvement with the few I’ve tried. I’m also open to trying any eye creams or serums that might help with dark circles. I do use vitamin c (day) and caffeine serum (night). The caffeine serum did help me significantly reverse the look of my dark circles in the past but I think my skin is used to it now and requires more support?

Routine Help Skincare recommendations for 45-year old women? skin has become dull and darker over the past year (please see body text). Suggest products for aging and brightening

Post image
9 Upvotes

Hi everyone!

My mom is 45, and over the past year, I’ve noticed that her face looks duller and somewhat darker than before. I am looking to build a good skincare routine for her that helps with brightness, uneven skin tone, hydration, and fine lines.

current products are, but has not started using them

\\\\\\\* WishCare sunscreen

\\\\\\\* Dot & Key Ceramide moisturiser

\\\\\\\* Celimax Retinal Shot

\\\\\\\* NatHabit Mukhalaya Patchouli Manjistha oil

considering adding a vitamin C serum, but I’m open to better recommendations.

Budget isn’t an issue, and I’m open to products from any country, including Korean, Japanese, European, or Indian skincare.

I’d love recommendations based on actual experience, especially for:

\\\\\\\* Improving dullness and uneven pigmentation

\\\\\\\* Getting healthier, more radiant-looking skin

\\\\\\\* Reducing fine lines and improving skin texture

\\\\\\\* Choosing a good cleanser, brightening serum, and moisturiser

What products actually made a difference?

I’d really appreciate specific product recommendations and advice on which ingredients are worth investing in. Thank you!
