Hi /r/Mazda,
Over the years, we’ve had many AI-Generated posts submitted to the subreddit and while the conversations can be engaging around what a car or concept COULD look like, the damage done to our environment is not worth it.
We’d like to encourage users to submit real-life images, real mockups, real concepts and have real interactions with each other around this type of content but cannot support low effort, AI-generated slop.
Going forward, users who post AI-generated images will have their posts removed and will receive a warning. Further AI slop will result in a temporary ban, up to a permanent ban.

Car was down for a month due to an electrical issue preventing any operation of my windows and RF. After taking it to 3 different shops and a dealership visit, the issue was found to be that, from factory, Mazda accidentally put the metal bracket on one of the insulation sleeves to the cable leading to the 30 AMP fuse box for the windows. This caused the harness to unsplice itself and spark/arc whenever the window switch was operated. Mazda of Orange quoted me 6,000$ to repair the wiring harness, while Project Dream in City of Industry repaired it for only 200$. I expected better from Mazda.
I did a test drive last week, drove 40 min in traffic , driving was great but ended with back pain
I suffer from low back pain and when I first tried the cx5 I found the seats soft and comfortable
Any driver can share their experience before I buy one)
Mazda if you are reading this please add a option to make a widget of my car with fuel/lock status like Bmw and Audi has

I bought a 2020 Mazda 6 GTR with 66800k miles on it in mid-July. It now has 71200 miles. When I bought the car, the dealership wanted to replace some plug (I can’t remember the exact plug, I think it was just the drain plug). I asked if it was leaking, they told me no, it was just being replaced as a precaution. About a week or two ago, I noticed the yellow oil symbol appear on my dash. Some days it appears, other days there are zero warnings on my dash. Right around when this light popped up, my car randomly completely changed all the settings in my car. Different time zone, and it triggered the “oil change due” maintenance notification, which is not a sensor, just set by a mileage threshold that wasn’t hit yet. I assumed something electrical was going on. No way I was low on oil when I have full synthetic and hadn’t driven 5000 miles yet. I’ve even been checking under the car to look for oil residue ever since I saw the light. No oil leaking. But as a precaution, I scheduled an oil change for tomorrow. Well, fast forward to today, I still have the yellow oil light that appears and disappears. My boyfriend brought it to my attention that my car smelled like exhaust inside the cabin, to the point it was making him nauseous. When I got home I let it cool and then decided to check under the hood. Wow did I find a surprise. There is green coolant everywhere. There is oil everywhere. Both the oil and coolant reservoirs are completely empty. Zero. Why was my light intermittent if I have zero oil? Why did the red oil pressure light not appear? Why did my car not overheat? Has it been overheating and the sensor isn’t working? Why didn’t the check-engine light appear? I feel like I got no true indicator that something was severely wrong. The car has run fine. It didn’t break down. It has never overheat and it’s never driven or sounded weird. It was the comment about the smell today that made me check under the hood. The yellow light wasn’t even on today. Is this all my fault because I didn’t check under the hood when I saw the yellow light a week ago? I wouldn’t have thought it drained to zero that fast. Once again, there is zero oil residue on the pavement under my car. Is there any chance the dealership can be held responsible or am I screwed?

What are the chances/your opinion that the 2027 CX-50 Hybrid will match the features of the Turbo Premium Plus (360 camera, etc).

I have a 2019 CX-5 with 54,000 miles. So it is past the 5 year engine warranty, but within the 60,000 miles limit. I have the HLA valve lifter issue which they posted a TSB about. Is there any chance that a dealership would provide the repair?

Does anybody know what could be causing this grinding noise in my driver side headlight?

Currently, looking at a 2026 Mazda 3 Preferred. I am definitely set on the navy exterior but am just now trying to decide between the two interior options.
I have had a Mazda 3, a few years back, and I had a black interior. I tint my cars and with the remote start and living in the northeast, the heat is not much of a concern. It definitely gets hotter but that wouldn’t be a deal breaker.
I saw the the greige in person and while the pictures online can make it look grey or white almost, to me it comes across as a littler beige.
My main concern with the greige is the ability for it to stay clean. My current car (non Mazda) has cognac colored seats and there’s no issue. I remember my black interior on the Mazda getting extremely dusty fast. With greige, how does it hold up long term? If a droplet of coffee gets on it, will it stain easily? I tend to do a lot in my car, and I’m not necessarily a messy person but not a neat. I’ll always have a few random things in my car, eat in it, drink coffee etc, I just want to be sure I don’t get into a situation where I have to anxiety around a sup of coffee or fry with bbq sauce lol.
