And yet the UK doesn’t have a systemic problem similar to the US.

UK has a ban on guns and their stabbings are still less per capita than the US

No I meant how because of how uk houses are built, their lack of AC, and the high cost of electricity they have way more heat and cold related deaths

Mate first it's climate change so good luck you'll be in the same boat soon. Second there a reason we've just leapfrogged Japan's economy and on track to jump over Germany's. Our only fuel that's high is natural gas which is wholesale price meaning if you look per KWh Britain has close to the cheapest energy in the G7 because we use renewables. On top of that we are building heat pumps and AC across the board.

Climate change would affect both equally and electricity is literally double the price in the UK so you'd still get hit harder

It's gonna take awhile with the AC since only 5% of housing have them

Climate change doesn't affect both equally due to geography and different parts of the planet experience differing warming, cooling and other affects like wind and rainfall. Example due to El Nino the pacific had far more hurricanes than the Atlantic in fact had basically one during the major hurricane season.

Dude we had negative price this year. It's literally just natural gas which is being phased out completely because you know the war your country started.

on 7 April 2026, UK wholesale prices ranged from −£58/MWh to £122/MWh within the same day. That's −5.8p to +12.2p per kWh. https://www.ofgem.gov.uk/blog/wholesale-energy-costs-and-your-bills?utm_source=chatgpt.com

In 2025, British wholesale electricity prices were negative for 244.5 hours — more than 10 full days' worth of hours. The lowest half-hourly market-index price was −£99.01/MWh, or −9.90p/kWh.
