It's supposed to go stale faster in fridge, but it does slow mold. Guess it depends on your environment and priorities ...or maybe big bread conspiracy!

Mine doesn't go stale at all, and I live alone and can sometimes take a couple weeks to go through a loaf. The coldness makes it a little firmer straight out of the fridge, but it softens back up by the time I'm actually eating the sandwich.
