I don’t eat bread fast enough to justify a bread box, but I think your girlfriend is onto something here. You might as well leave her if this is mildly infuriating to you.

Wouldn't not eating bread fast enough be the justification for a bread box

Fridge.

Freezer, never fridge. It doesn’t dry out. I don’t eat my bread fast enough and the freezer keeps it as close to fresh when I want some toast.

This is what I’m talking about. Takes like ten minutes of letting two slices sit out on my cutting board and they’re thawed. If I don’t have time for that toast from frozen.

Freezer is my bread box.

If I'm putting my bread in the fridge I may as well just throw it in the garbage

But fridges dry stuff out on purpose.

You can revive stale bread. You cannot revive moldy bread.

Putting bread in the fridge makes it go stale MUCH more quickly.

Edit: spelling.

I mean I’m not buying artisan breads that don’t already come packaged in a bag, so no…

Bags make it mould faster as moisture is trapped inside

Wouldn’t not eating bread fast enough be the justification for a breadbox?

I left all 15 of my wife’s for unresolved bread box issues.
