Commander / EDH Commander Displays
Finally got my 50+ commander decks on display.
I'm curious, how does everyone else display or store their commander's / cards?

Hi! In every game I watch on youtube they praise the Bauble. Yes, it is a staple in commander, but there are other mana ramps who do a better job, right? Or what am I missing?

To turn it face up I have to know if it’s a creature card. So I just don’t get it.
The only scenario I could see is if your opponent sees/ you have revealed the top card of your library. Is there another reason?

He wants to use Edgar and build it around the sacrifice ability. What cards should we look for and use to build this deck?
I was watching a video the other day by an influencer complaining about something. And I was thinking about how intense the comments here get sometimes ...
... and I was contrasting that with my actual experience of playing Magic lately. I've been having an absolute blast! This might be one of my top years for the game, and I have been playing since Revised.
Lorwyn Eclipsed was gorgeous. The prepared mechanic from Strixhaven is super fun. Reality Fracture Draft might be up there with o.g. triple Zendikar for me (seriously). The Commanders coming out this fall are varied and original. I'm excited to draft, excited to play Commander, and even excited about 60 card (Darklight Phoenix, my precious, I will find a deck where you shine!)
Maybe some of that is me and my tastes, but I don't think that I'm alone. Magic nights at my FLGS have been packed. We had enough drafters last Friday for two pods, which is a massive contrast from barely being able to scrape together a foursome for pick 2 not that long ago. That was in addition to the usual massive Commander crowd.
Yes, I know there is bad stuff. Secret lair disasters, scalpers, city pigeons. But there's always been stuff that people don't lik. The sixth edition rules, the 8th edition frames, reprinting cards in Chronicles, promising not to reprint cards after Chronicles ...
The world is on fire for other reasons, but maybe Magic, this game that we gather around, is pretty good right now?

Instead of having 8 boxes of bulk sitting around I finally got something decent to hold it all. Much nicer!

I think it’s supposed to be and etched card but they are both normal cards. I’m assuming this is a mistake?

Hey Everyone, not sure if this is the right place to ask, but yes I did Google "Gold Deck Box" before I came and asked, none looked the same.
I got this deck box like almost 2 decades ago, won it at an actual proper sanctioned standard tournament I think* I can't even remember what the store/ tournament was, I vaguely recall a Figure of Destiny haha. I can't even remember what the store/ tournament was, I vaguely recall a Figure of Destiny haha.
It literally has no markings other than "Magic the gathering" on the front, it's finally starting to fall apart and I'd love to get another one. It's slightly foamy / squishy to the touch but very solid and great lid. Anyways I use it for Pauper and EDH tokens and I'd love to replace it before it completely falls apart.
Thanks ahead of time!

I got my He Man lairs in today. I ordered the Skeletor, Whe-ra, and Sold separately, plus the swan song bonus card. When opening them the She-ra package felt kinda light and it turns out they sealed up an empty envelope and sent it out. I already put in a support ticket, but how likely an I to get this replaced?

My husband and I went to MagicCon Los Vegas this year and were bummed the con store sold out their trans pride pin before we could get one, so we decided to design our own!

My LGS is hosting a precon-only tournament in a couple of weeks that I'm interested in. I've currently got Sultai Arisen and Tramplesaurus Rex. Which of these two should I go with, or do you have a recommendation for another? I don't want to pay crazy prices (looking at you 40k) but I'd be willing to pick up a new deck if it raises the chances I have of doing well. What do you think?

I'm someone who really only enjoys playing bracket 2-3 Commander (I only have decks at that power level). I was playing with a pod at my LGS, and the first game we all agreed to play with decks that were around mid-3. After this game, I was already feeling a little defeated because I haven't been able to get the deck I was playing to work (Entirely my own problem. It's new, and I guess the deck still needs work). When we went to start the next game, one of the players exclaimed that it was bracket 4 time. I then said that I don't have any decks at that power level, but the rest of the players all ignored me.
I thought about trying to find a different pod, but it was getting late, and it looked like the rest of the pods were all already playing their final games of the night. At that point, I didn't really have the energy to continue making my point and just played what I think is my strongest deck, but it's still firmly a bracket 3, and I wasn't able to do anything all game.
The only other time I've been in a situation like this, someone was kind enough to let be barrow one of their bracket 4 decks. I did enjoy that game, but to me it is a very different feel and not something I want to spend money to build a deck for.
Have any of you been in a situation like this? What would you have done in a situation like this?
Edit: To those of you saying that I was holding them hostage, I was already sitting with one guy who said that he was cool with playing that power level all night and we were waiting for 2 more people to show up. When they approached us and asked what level we were playing, I told them explicitly that I only have decks in those brackets before they sat down.
This is the LGS I go to the most and I've played with most of the regulars and I've. This is the first time at this store that I've had any one try to play a higher bracket. (The other instance was at a different store I don't frequent). That is part of the reason that this is my main store.
I seeing now that I probably should have just left. I just did want to seem like an a-hole leaving them without a full pod.
Additionally, I want to make it clear that I don't have an issue with people wanting to play higher brackets, I get if that your thing. My issue was how he just declared that's what was happening instead of asking or having a discussion about it asking.

Just picked up my first precon, wakanda forever. Guy at the lgs said it was a good one to start with pretty simple to use for a beginner.

Hey everyone :)
I’d love to hear your opinions on Ms. Bumbleflower. I’ve been wanting to build her, but I’m amazed by how many directions you can take her: counters, group hug, spellslinger... I even saw an Eldrazi build, lol.
I’m leaning towards spellslinger with a hint of counters. I usually play in a strong bracket 3 pod, and people won’t take the group hug bait ^^
So I’d like to know:
Thanks for your help <3
Cheers!

Sorry if this isn’t the right place to post this! 🫣
As title says…I haven’t built a deck in a while and just got back from an almost 3 year hiatus. Would love some ideas that kinda don’t make sense but do…if that makes sense. Like throwing something that gives your creatures horsemanship into a rat deck for example.

Sorry, just a rant. Started with just one split, luckily we had 4 spare sleeves in the box. Moments later, another and another, and another, an no spares left… we’ve used Dragon Shields for multiple decks across multiple games and formats and this Blood Red matte set just HAS to be a lemon. Right?

I've not aimed for high bracket here, but gone for a bit of fun, focused on my commander Sab-Sunen, Luxa Embodied, because she's such a queen. Money is tight right now so it's very low budget.
I've only played standard before, but my friends play commander and I wanna try it out without spending too much. So every card in this deck, besides my commander, I can find for under a dollar. My experience is mostly in mono-green landfall or Dimir graveyard recursion.
I'm worried I've gone too broad but I've tried to include strategies that counter graveyards, big creatures, and spellslinging just to cover all my bases. I think I've built a decent deck but would love some insight before I buy anything.
Any advice is totally welcome, but please keep in mind I'm trying to keep this deck cheap, or there's a lot of things I'd change about it. I'm also not particularly keen on any UB properties.
Also, would love to know where you'd place this, bracket wise. I'm thinking 2 but I may be overestimating my deck building haha.
PS I know Sapprazzan Cove is dogshit, but it amuses me, and with nesting grounds/proliferation it could actually be kinda fun
why did they not include the darksteel citadel here? would've made total sense...

At my LGS the other day an opponent casted a card that reveals the top 5 cards of his Library then an opponent (me) separates those into two piles he keeps one and the other goes into graveyard so I slide the cards around face up into two piles and everyone's acting like I don't know anything because he's not supposed to know the contents of the piles. I've never played a card like that in that way I assumed the picker got to know what was in the piles because the cards are revealed still. Please I want to know if I am wrong or right here.
.
TLDR do you get to know the contents of the individual piles if cards are revealed then separated into two piles by an opponent you keep one pile and the other goes in the graveyard.
tldr do I know what's in each pile individualy when fact or fiction is cast
