Financial Medical Help Required — Please Support My Treatment

Assalamu Alaikum,

I am from Pakistan and urgently need financial assistance for my medical investigations and treatment. My CT scan revealed a mass measuring approximately 7.9 cm on the left side of my chest.

I was previously given medication for tuberculosis (TB), but the mass has not shown a clear reduction. Doctors at Jinnah Hospital are now arranging an MRI, after which they will decide whether further tests or a biopsy are needed.

Unfortunately, I am struggling to afford the cost of these medical investigations and any subsequent treatment. I do not yet have an exact hospital cost estimate, but I am initially seeking PKR 20,000–50,000 to help cover my medical expenses.

I sincerely request anyone who is able to help to please consider donating. Even a small contribution can make a difference. If you cannot donate, I would be grateful if you could share my appeal with others.

I have my CT scan report and doctor's referral documents available for verification if needed.

May Allah reward everyone who supports me and bless you all with good health and happiness. Ameen.

Donations: JazzCash / Easypaisa Please message me privately for payment details.

Thank you for your kindness, prayers, and support.

Ask Pakistan Went looking for a heated pool for my mother and got reminded that I am a bloody civilian

My mother still swims at Pindi Gymkhana, but their pool isn't heated. She asked me to find somewhere near Scheme 3 with a heated pool and ladies timings. I found a sports complex in Chaklala Garrison that was listed online as open to civilians, so we stopped there on the way to the office.

At the gate we were told, quite rudely, that we couldn't enter unless someone inside called for us. The club had no public phone number listed that I could find. We used to know people inside the garrison but don't currently, so I wasn't sure how we were supposed to contact the place to ask about joining.

After some explaining they spoke to their seniors and let us through. They kept my CNIC and took my name, my father's name and the driver's name. We reached the club and the reception was closed. So the whole exercise achieved nothing.

On the way out, we were told to park well away from the gate and collect the card. I tried explaining that reception had been closed and we would need to come back. Before I could properly explain, I was told to wait outside. Eventually the man came back and said we could visit again.

Nothing dramatic happened. They let us in, returned my card and said we could come back. But the way we were spoken to stayed with me.

We were in my father's Land Cruiser, dressed for the office. I mention that because unfortunately in Pakistan those things often affect how people treat you. If this is the attitude towards someone arriving like that, what does a man arriving on a bike have to put up with? Does he even get as far as speaking to a senior?

People who know me know I already have a negative view of the army and generally avoid dealing with them. I went because my mother wanted somewhere to swim. I understand checking visitors at a military gate. What I don't understand is why that requires speaking to people as though they are a nuisance for asking.

So much of Rawalpindi feels like somewhere I live beside but cannot actually enter without permission, an introduction or leaving my identity card behind. Even trying to enquire about a swimming pool becomes a reminder of who has authority and who has to stand outside explaining himself.

If a facility is open to civilians, give us a working contact number and a clear way to visit. And speak to us normally. I shouldn't need to know an officer for my mother to ask about a pool.

Financial How to do savings?

I'm 20M and I want to save money for buying a new laptop with a GPU (probably Lenovo legion 5). I am a student in University and currently in 5th semester pursuing BS in Artificial intelligence.

Now my pocket money is approximately 15k per month. I think of saving every time but I just cannot. I also live in a hostel that makes it more difficult to do so. My target is at least 5k per month so that I could contribute at least 50k in the laptop whenever I buy it.

Financial Regarding Property

Hi Guys, I need your guidance regarding properties, so recently like 5 years ago my father bought a plot in Park View City on installments, and we built the house on gray structure and was about to finish it, but last year flood came and the whole society was done we have been allowed another plot in another block, and now my father is not happy to build the house in that society again though park view did really good initiative by building our house again upto gray structure, but still we are not agreeing to go their because the land is not approved by LDA, its only ruda approved and there are also many reason we really don't want to go like the society is overall dead, the prices have fallen down badly, no development is going on, no hospital in society, no petrol pump, and the biggest thing there is no WAPDA AND SUI, like the unit there is so expensive...like there is nothing we are seeing rn

So what is your opinion, should we wait or search for other places like I don't think we would get a good amount if we sell it rn, or maybe in future it would be a good place to live

Please guys need your honest and best opinion, we have wasted so much time here

Education Need an advice to get out through this bs

Hi guys! So, I recently completed my O Levels (IGCSE) from Pearson Edexcel and got 5 A*s in Urdu, English, Islamiat, Pakistan Studies, and Chemistry, 2 As in Maths and Physics, and 1 B in CS because our paper got leaked.

Anyways, I switched to FSc because my goal is to pursue engineering at a Pakistani university, and I thought Inter would go fine. It's going okay, but honestly, I'm not interested in doing Inter. I want to do A Levels for the love of the game 😭 because, in the end, whether you do Inter or A Levels, you'll eventually end up at the same university.

However, I'm still very confused and uncertain about whether I should continue with Inter or switch back to A Levels. There are a few factors holding me back from making this decision.

Firstly, when I was switching to Inter, everyone around me told me that it involved a lot of cramming, would be very difficult, and that I wouldn't be able to manage without my friends. I thought I was capable enough of handling it on my own, but now that I'm not putting in enough effort, I'm constantly failing tests and regretting my decision. I want to switch back, but what's holding me back is the thought that if I return to A Levels, I'll be returning as a loser because I couldn't live up to the belief I had in myself.

Secondly, if I'm finding Inter difficult and want to switch, what happens if I find A Levels even harder? There won't really be any way back, and I feel like my current situation is solely because of my lack of effort. Kion ke mera interest hi nahi hai, and because of that, I'm not motivated enough to study. At the same time, I'm still uncertain about whether I actually want to continue with Inter or switch to A Levels, and this uncertainty is affecting my studies.

Another thing is that I feel like Inter Maths involves a lot of ratta and cramming, which is making it difficult for me. However, I know that A Levels Maths is difficult in its own way, so I'm not sure whether switching would actually solve my problems or just create new ones.

Thirdly, Cambridge papers also get leaked quite often, and I'm worried that this could result in a waste of both time and money if something like that haI am feeling realllyyy depressed, anxious and stressted. My career is on stake and I dont know what to do.

Health Does anyone know what is the appointment procedure of shaukat khanam?

Background: my father, 60 plus, has prostate cancer + obstructive jaundice Will shaukat khanam tell us right there if they can't take our patient (since we believe that he might be at stage IV, only through CT scan and a a blood test called PSA as doctors said to refrain from biopsy)??? I have been wanting to choose 'cancer care lahore' instead but many people in my family have been asking to go to SK first. I'm not sure what to do? Utterly confused...

Ask Pakistan Market research for a business idea

I’m exploring an idea in PAKISTAN for a toy subscription service and wanted to get some honest opinions from parents and rlly anyone interested. The idea is pretty simple: instead of constantly buying new toys that kids get bored of after a few weeks, parents could subscribe to a service that delivers a box of toys suited to their child’s age and interests every month. The toys could include educational games, puzzles, building toys and other activities, with the option to rent bigger items like play kitchens or activity tables too. At the end of the month, you return the toys and get a new set, so your child always has something different to play with without your house filling up with toys they barely use. All toys would be checked and properly cleaned before going to the next family. I’m still figuring out the details, so I’d love to know what parents think: Would you actually use something like this? What would concern you, and how much would you realistically be willing to pay per month?

Social Flashing lights can trigger seizures

Hello! Public service message for everyone: flashing lights can trigger seizures in people with a condition called photosensitive epilepsy. Please refrain from using them on bikes and buses.

It’s not just uncomfortable; it can be dangerous. Imagine if the flashing lights triggered a seizure in someone driving a car at high speed or riding a bike.

I know many people aren’t aware of this and don’t mean any harm, but spreading awareness can help prevent a potentially dangerous situation.

Ask Pakistan Need an ethical hacker to help recover our fb page🙏

A friend of my father used to work at our office. When he was unemployed, my father gave him a job and taught him everything about our business. Unfortunately, he ended up scamming us, and we had to fire him.
After being fired, he hacked our Facebook page and is now refusing to give us access back.
This page is important to our business, and we really need to recover it. I’m looking for a trustworthy ethical hacker or cybersecurity professional who can help us regain access to our Facebook page.
If anyone has experience with Facebook page recovery or can recommend a reliable professional, please let me know. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

Discussion Cold cases in Pakistan

Hi,

I tend to watch alot of these YT channels where Police in US solves cold cases from the past. There is usually an active officer on cold cases and these days they are solving homicides from 30-40 years ago by geneology and trace DNA.

Just thinking of that scenerio in Pakistan imagine the thousands of kids and cases that have dissapeared in time because we dont have those recources to pursue them and provide closure to families?

Like imagine the amount people missing from 70s to 80 and 90s and people not knowing what happened to them. They are buried somewhere or trafficked and never found again. Only if we also had such recources to track these cases.

Just some thoughts as I was going through a few episodes.

Ask Pakistan I watch videos showing street food vendors from around the world. Why are people in Pakistan so generous?

So in these videos the filmmaker goes around trying random foods people are selling. And what is striking about the Pakistani ones is they regularly refuse to accept payment. If he insists they sometimes get annoyed and strongly tell him no. This can be compared with a neighbouring country where it seems every seller is trying to scam or inflate prices. Why such a difference?

In my country (UK) someone might refuse payment, but it's mostly a politeness and if you insists on paying they will accept.

So I'm just wondering, first, how can these vendors make a living if they consistently tell complete strangers not to pay. And, second, why are they so passionate about not accepting payment?

Thanks for reading.

Financial Export Businesses amidst US-Iran war

A little background: I'm employed by an export-based company as an export logistics manager.
My question is: since the start of this war, the freight costs have gone up insanely.
A reefer container is now 3-5x more than it used to be in terms of sea freight.
Other logistics costs have gone up as well. Since it is a b2b business, we only sell our product to European markets, but nobody agrees on Advance and CAD payment terms anymore. The agreed payment terms are only DA terms.

How are you guys managing your export businesses? Do you think that if this continues next year there will be massive layoffs?

Ask Pakistan Need advice: Updated father's surname spelling in my CNIC, now need Birth Certificate & B-Form updated for Visa Application (Karachi)

Recently, I got my father's surname spelling corrected/changed in my own CNIC (it went from "Yousuf" to "Yusoof"). Now, my CNIC has the new spelling, but my old birth certificate (issued in 2003 by Jamshed Town, UC-06 / PECHS 1) and my B-Form still have the old spelling ("Yousuf").

I want to align my birth certificate and B-Form/CRC with my current CNIC. Has anyone gone through this?

Time is of the essence for me as I am currently preparing my visa application, and I urgently need to fix a document mismatch Would really appreciate any advice or help
