I would say it’s possible, but not likely. I tend to prune my convos and contacts after a while, so there’s no way I would have still have a decade old conversation on my phone with someone I no longer talk to. I figured most other people would do the same but of course everyone’s different.

I guess I just don’t like clutter? I tend to delete conversations if it’s been a year with no new messages. Usually delete the contact too. Exception being professional contacts.

Seriously though... why? As I got older things just needed to be cleaned up. Theres no good reason to keep dozens of old text convos in my phone from my early 20s. Like old hook ups, old gfs, people I haven't talked to in a decade.

There’s no reason to, my texts take up less than 1% of my storage (<1GB) and if no messages were sent for a while they just naturally fall down to the bottom, where they are forgotten. Clearing them out would require effort and intention that just doesn’t exist for me and I suspect for most people

I still have email convos from 2006. Notes from school in the 90s... I probably have many texts over a decade old.

Some of us just don't care enough to go delete it. It's fine where it is.

I'm going to be the devils advocate here and say that op was initially somewhat rude by implying he lived under a rock and not explaining the joke until after already making fun of them being a bit of a nuisance in the process by not just explaining the joke.

It would come across better if he posted the meme and also explained it at the same time making it more light hearted but instead it comes across more as being intentionally annoying so I don't really understand why people are having a problem with them?
