DISCUSSIONS Am I crazy or is Counterpart a better than both of these?
I'm comparing all 3 for obvious reasons. They all share an element of alternate realities. Just finished counterpart series and am enthralled.
Fantastic story telling, deep cast, excellent production values, and an acting masterclass from J.K. Simmons. You can tell which character he's playing just from his posture or subtle facial expressions.
I really liked both S1 severance and S1 dark matter but counterpart was just a more complete show.

Questions Looking for a show i cant remember!
Hi guys im trying to find a film or show my dad watched when i was little, doing homework, around 8 years old (im 17), and it was where there was a compound with maybe a tower, and a big gate, and approaching this compound was a girl who was being chased by zombie like people, so the people of the compound opens the gate to let her in, only for her to have a weird crooked smile like thing, revealing she tricked them, one of the survivors MAYBE went "you bitch" MAYBE and the survivors then scrambled to shut the gate, and the hoard like presses up against it and bites what looked like a girl with short hairs neck? Maybe a man? Maybe she had long hair. Idk. I just remember it so vividly!! I need to find it.

DISCUSSIONS Mr. Robot is perfect just the way it is. But..
galleryLooking at what’s happening around the world today, it’s crazy how much this show seemed to predict, even though it ended back in 2019.
It’s a masterpiece, but I can’t help wondering: could Rami Malek’s performance have been even better? Or was Elliot exactly the character he was meant to be?
What do you think? Has Mr. Robot become even more relevant with time?

Questions Help me remember old 90s TV Show from the UK
Im trying to remember the name of a TV show in the late 90s in the UK.
It was on very late at night. The host would come in and you would be in his living room.
They would then show funny clips from other shows like the Police Documentaries with drunks.
The host was a middle aged man with black hair but I cannot remember his name.

DISCUSSIONS Thoughts on 'Avatar: Seven Havens' so far?
This is the sequel to the classic shows Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra. I've been loving it so far (although animation is kinda choppy). But there is a lot of heart to the characters and some very cool action and mysteries.

DISCUSSIONS FRINGE: HAS IT AGED WELL, OR DOES IT SHOW ITS AGE?
Fringe originally aired from 2008 to 2013, and for those who followed it back then, it was one of those shows that really left a lasting impression.
I watched it as it aired, and a few days ago, I happened to stumble across it on TV again. It felt strange: I remembered it as a brilliant show, with perfectly interwoven characters and a narrative mythology that managed to bring together ideas, mysteries, and increasingly ambitious storylines.
And yet, watching it again today, I had a feeling I wasn’t expecting: Fringe felt a little anachronistic to me, almost disconnected from the way we’re used to watching TV shows nowadays.
I’m not necessarily talking about the quality of the writing or the ideas themselves, many of which still hold up remarkably well, but rather a certain approach to storytelling, episode structure, and pacing that seems to belong to a different era of television.
But has it really aged poorly, or have we changed along with television and our expectations?
I’m curious to hear what you think:
-Does Fringe still hold up today, or does it show too much of its age?
-Which aspects still work brilliantly, and which ones feel more dated?
-Are its mythology and characters still as effective as they once were, or has nostalgia made us remember the show as better than it might actually feel today?
-If you had to recommend it to someone who had never watched it, would you do so without hesitation?
Maybe it’s just my impression after randomly stumbling across it again, but I’d be interested to know if anyone else has felt the same way.

Recommendations I’d like some series recommendations.
galleryI’ve watched these series and absolutely loved them; I’m looking for something similar—something that blends romance, comedy, and everyday life. (Primarily, I’m looking for romance without explicit sex scenes.)

DISCUSSIONS Blue Lights (UK TV show) struggling
As a scifi and fantasy lover, finding this show too slow and boring. Im trying to finish the second episode of series 1 but its just a yawnfest. Im aware of the shows popularity and I realise that it must get better the further you get into it but why am I finding it so mindnumbingly laborious? I enjoyed line of duty, happy valley, the fall etc. So I do usually like crime dramas just not this one. I cant work out why I dont love it as much as others seem to!

DISCUSSIONS I love Slow Horses So much!!!!
I was watching Slow Horses for a month now and I loved it so much, its so good, every season of this show made me loved it even more. I watched 5 seasons as of now, and the 6th season is currently airing so I am waiting for all the episodes to binge watch, only last episode is remaining which would air on 21 Oct. Every character is so brilliantly written. I dont know if the show has won any awards or anything it truly deserves an oscar ( emmy should i say). They truly know how to end a season masterfully specially season 4 and 5 like it was so awesome. Gary Oldman, Kristen Scott, Jack Lowden, whole cast is so amazing. Jackson Lamb my goat ruless, his character is so good, his humor/threats and attitude, I just love him so much. This show is so brilliantly written. Season 4 and 5 are my favourites as of now. Season 4 where river leaving his grandpa and him saying You Promised 😭 😭 and jackson's feet at the end of season 5 😭 I cant believe he was that guy from the story, I love him so much.
TELL ME WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE INSULT FROM THE SHOW?????

DISCUSSIONS [S1 SPOILERS] I FIXED (edited the 8th episode) the ending of Carry for my girlfriend Spoiler
Hi all,
I just want to share that I rewatched Carry with my girlfriend recently, and honestly, I think the show is absolutely brilliant. The young cast is fantastic, all the actors are so damn cool, and I loved pretty much everything about the series. But the ending left me disappointed.
So I decided to fix it myself.
After the house collapses in Episode 8, when it seems like the mother has died and Carry lies on her back, looking at her father as they both gaze up at the stars, I thought that was the perfect place to end the story.
So I literally edited the video file, cut everything that came after that moment, and went straight to the end credits.
That's it. No extra explanation, no unnecessary aftermath, just that beautiful, emotional moment and then the credits roll.
I watched it that way and the ending feels so much better now. Didn't share with gf what I did immediately, and she loved it. After I told her, she didn't even want to see the original :D
So yea... shared this because a lot of people didn't like the ending, and I believe this is a solution if you ever want to rewatch it :)

Questions I need help finding an old show I can’t remember
This is a very random post but I was talking with a friend about footloose and it brought up an old memory of a show that had a storyline about a disco pig that loved to dance. It’s so weird and I can’t explain it well but all I remember is it is like a drawing cartoon of a pig but it’s like human shape and it has an afro and dresses in a disco outfit and loves to dance but like gets exiled for it. Also this is like just a backstory or old tale that is shown in the show and it’s def not the main story line. It’s so obscure of a memory I just thought that maybeee someone else would remember it. And I can’t find it anywhere. ( it might be a movie)

DISCUSSIONS What Are The Best / Your Fav TV Show Theme Songs
Just thinking about iconic tv show themes. Theme songs that make you feel so good just hearing them. Does loving the show make you like the theme song more? Are there any shows you didn’t like that you loved the theme song?
I’m talking about DRAMA shows not sitcoms
Succession sticks out as the most prominently fantastic theme song to me. Just love hearing it. I never skipped it. I grew to like the yellow jackets theme song (probably because I like the show) but on the first watch hated it
What are your favs? Least favs?
