Asia Hong Kong Visa - Approved

I knew my PAR would get rejected as my passport was issued from Kolkata, India. I’ve been through this sub so many times looking for information on HK visa and I couldn’t muster the ability to think of HK as a travel destination because there wasn’t much info available. Now that I’ve finally gotten it, I just want to write about my experience, hoping it’ll be helpful to someone.
September 15 - Filled the application form
September 18 - Received an acknowledgment
October 12 - Received my double entry visa
Almost 3 weeks or so!

I sent follow-ups every week but I’m not sure how much that helped because I would always get the same automatic reply. Calling them was also not very helpful because I had such a hard time understanding what they were saying. The accent was difficult to understand. Two of my friends applied on the same day as me and got their visas the day after I got mine. One friend has no travel history whereas the two of us have travelled quite a bit.

Now, coming to the documents that needs to be uploaded-
6 months bank statements
Passport (took a picture and uploaded it)
Picture
NOC from employer
Cover letter
Confirmed return flight tickets
Hotel bookings
Itinerary
Salary slips (I did not upload ITR)
Employment letter
For my travel history, I uploaded a picture of my visa stickers on my passport and the visa letters/stamps.

I did not upload a rental agreement even though I live in Hyderabad whereas my passport was issued in Kolkata.

So yeah, I’m finally going to Hong Kong (yay!)

Japan Japan evisa question

I’ve just apply my evisa, I’m a resident in US now, for my financial proof, I got:
- Bank statement
- Screenshot of current balance (they emailed me and said screenshot is ok) around 3k since I majorly use credit card directly from my country bank account
- Letter of financial support from my mom, my birth certificate, her salary sheet and contract.
My boyfriend have:
- His bank statement and balance around 3k
- Bank statement of his bank account in his country.
We already buy flight tickets and book hotel
Is our two profiles seem like will pass? I’m really worry now since they denied me once and my trip is pretty close already.

Thank you guys!

Schengen Do all Hungarian student visa applicants have to attend an interview?

Hi everyone! For those who have applied for a Hungarian student visa or residence permit for study, I’d like to know if everyone is required to attend an interview, or if some applications are processed without one.
If you’ve applied recently, regardless of your nationality, please share your experience. Did you have an interview at the embassy, or were you only asked to submit your documents?
I’d really appreciate hearing about your experiences. Thank you!

Australia & New Zealand New Zealand Visitor Visas approved in under a week- Indian married couple

My wife and I applied together for New Zealand Visitor Visas. I was the primary applicant and she was included as the additional applicant. Both visas were approved in under a week without any request for further documents, medical examinations, an agent or a sponsor.

Main documents submitted

  • A concise, one-page joint cover letter signed by both of us
  • A realistic 15-day South Island self-drive itinerary
  • Confirmations for prepaid accommodation and the rental vehicle
  • A proposed return-flight itinerary (not booked)
  • Six-month bank statements, ITRs, salary documents, mutual-fund statements and employer NOCs
  • Marriage certificate, joint rental agreements and supporting relationship evidence
  • Current passports and previous travel/visa history
  • Property-ownership evidence as an additional tie to India
  • The complete INZ 1224 declaration form for the additional applicant

Upload sections that initially confused us

  1. Evidence of relationship: We uploaded our notarised marriage certificate here.
  2. Genuine and stable relationship: We used separate evidence entries:
  • Joint rental agreements showing continuous shared residence
  • A short photo/social-media collage and evidence of previous travel together (dont think this is necessary though)
  1. Evidence of funds: Under the primary applicant, we combined both applicants’ six-month bank statements into one PDF with a simple cover page identifying each statement.
  2. Additional applicant’s financial documents: Her ITR, payslips and mutual-fund statement were uploaded under “Other document, not listed” because her section did not provide a separate financial category.
  3. Permission and authority: We uploaded the complete INZ 1224 form under the additional applicant’s “Permission and authority” section, completed for our circumstances.
  4. Relationship dropdown: “Your relationship to this applicant” was from the primary applicant’s perspective. Since I was applying for my wife, I selected “Husband.”
  5. Household registration: We left this optional field blank because we did not have an Indian equivalent of a household-registration document

Cover-letter approach

We kept the joint cover letter to one page. It briefly covered who was applying, the travel purpose and dates, the planned route, prepaid bookings, how the trip would be funded, employment and approved leave, previous compliant travel, property ownership and our intention to return to India. We did not repeat the entire itinerary or list every supporting document.

The total fee was NZD 541.

A few practical points:

  • Keep dates, accommodation names and locations consistent across the form, itinerary and confirmations.
  • If the photo checker rejects an otherwise suitable photo, check the exact dimensions and file specifications. Resizing by the studio resolved this for us.
  • We did not pre-book the flights, since they are expensive AF
  • For long bank statements, a one-page cover sheet helps. Ours identified both applicants and was followed by each person’s six-month statement in the same PDF under the primary applicant’s “Evidence of funds.”
  • Relationship evidence does not need dozens of photographs. For us, the marriage certificate and continuous joint rental agreements carried more substance than a large photo collection.

Schengen I recently received an Italian vocational training visa, but I ran into a problem

Hello everyone,
I recently received an Italian vocational training visa, but I ran into a problem and I would be grateful for any advice.
I applied for the visa in August, and the training was supposed to start in September. However, the embassy took until mid-October to give me an answer. When I contacted the training center, they told me they could not enroll me in the current course because I had already exceeded the maximum allowed number of absences. They said I could defer to the next course, which starts in February next year.
The problem is that my visa expires at the end of February. When I told the center this, they said I would have to find a solution myself in order to join the February course.
Has anyone been in a similar situation, or does anyone have information that could help? For example:
Can the visa be extended or reissued with a new validity period?
Can the training center issue an official letter to support a new visa application?
Is there another way to handle this with the embassy or the Italian authorities?
Any advice or information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much

Advise on Application

I am an international student from an African country studying in the UK. I am applying for a short stay (90 day) visa to travel to see my mom for a week in France. The thing is, my mom does not live in France and is not a French national, she happens to be travelling there and we're just going to meet. What do I put on the application in terms of host person/organisation? My mom has a hotel room booking and I'm just going to be added to the booking. I don't know whether to put if someone is welcoming me or just put the hotel. The booking is not in my name. Any help is appreciated!!

Turkish e-Visa: Does my UK visitor visa need to be valid for the entire 180-day period?

Hi everyone,

I’m an Indian passport holder applying for a Turkish e-Visa using my valid UK Standard Visitor visa as a supporting document.

My UK visa expires on 14 December 2026. I plan to enter Türkiye on 21 November 2026 and leave on 30 November 2026, so my UK visa will be valid for the entire duration of my trip.

I’m unsure whether this could cause a problem. Does the UK visa need to remain valid for the entire validity period of the Turkish e-Visa (180 days), or is it sufficient for it to be valid when I enter Türkiye and throughout my stay?

Visa

Hello everyone,

Does anyone know if Kuwait is currently issuing work visas (Article 18) for Lebanese citizens?

I have a Kuwaiti sponsor who owns an established company and is willing to hire a Lebanese employee. However, we were informed that work visas for Lebanese nationals are currently suspended.

Has anyone recently managed to obtain a work visa for a Lebanese citizen?

Is there any possibility of getting special approval from the Ministry of Social Affairs or the relevant authorities?

I would really appreciate any recent experiences, reliable information, or advice.

Thank you in advance!

Schengen Can Indian Passport Holders Travel to Turkey on a Turkish e-Visa Using a UK Visitor eVisa?

Hi everyone,

I am an Indian citizen holding on ordinary passport. My UK Standard Visitor visa has been approved for 6 months, and it is available as a digital eVisa through my UKVI account.

I am planning to travel to Turkey for tourism and would like to apply for a Turkish e-Visa using my UK visa as a supporting document.

My questions are:

  1. Does a UK digital eVisa (eVisa linked to a UKVI account) qualify as a supporting visa for a Turkish e-Visa?

  2. Can Indian passport holders use a UK Standard Visitor eVisa to meet Turkey's supporting visa requirement?

  3. Does the UK visa need to be valid on the date of entry into Turkey?

  4. Has anyone successfully obtained a Turkish e-Visa and travelled to Turkey using this exact combination of documents?

I would really appreciate answers from anyone who has recently travelled under these circumstances or has experience with the Turkish e-Visa application process.

Thank you!

ASAN e-Visa stuck at "being processed" for 6 working days — normal? (Indian passport)

I applied for a standard e-Visa on evisa.gov.az on 9 October, paid the $30, and got a registration number and the "data verified" confirmation. The status page still says "Your e-visa is being processed" and there's been no email either way. That's six working days now against the stated three.

My travel date is 1 November, so I'm not panicking yet, but I'd like to know whether anyone else has seen standard applications take this long recently, particularly on Indian passports.

UK Visitor Visa approved in 4 days.. VFS Chennai

I was checking this subreddit for visa timelines and finally i can add my timeline to this page

Little background: I applied for the standard visitor visa..no priority processing.. Visiting London for some business meetings/holiday purpose. I have travelled a lot...Visited 23 countries...travel internationally 5 times a year.... I run an accounting firm and other business.. In my final level of CA.. Married with kid and applied visa for a solo trip.

My Application Journey:
12 October 2026-9:30 am: Attended my VFS appointment.Biometrics completed.
13 October 2026-11:12 am: Received confirmation that UKVI had received my application.
15 October 2026-1:03 pm: Received an email saying my application was still being processed.
16 October 2026- 5 pm: Received my successful visa decision.

Documents I submitted included:
•Personal bank statements.
•Business bank Accounts.
•Educational Certificates.
•Scan copies of three previous passports.
•Expired Australian 3 year multiple entry visa pdf(2023-2026).
•Cover letter

In the covering letter, I wrote everything, about my family , my living situation, my passive income, purpose of travel, future plans in detail

This will be my second trip to the UK. I have been to the UK back in 2010 after a visa refusal and appeal process for that trip. The biometric process was very quick at chennai. The VFS staff at chennai tried to sell me the premium lounge stating that the process would take 2 hours. Ignored it and the entire appointment was done in 20 mins. at the end they also try to sell you the UKVI account creation service for a charge but ignored it as well.

I was expecting at least 10 days to get the visa but this quick processing is very surprising..I guess the process is very straight forward...if the purpose of travel is genuine and have prior travel history and the intent to return to india is very clear... The Visa application will be a success.

Let me know if you have any doubts.

Saudi Visa?

Hi everyone!
I’m looking for advice from anyone who has experience travelling to Saudi Arabia with an Indian passport.
I’m an Indian passport holder living in Germany with a German permanent residence permit (Niederlassungserlaubnis). My boyfriend has a German passport, and we’re planning to travel from Germany to Jeddah and stay in Saudi Arabia for around one week, from 27-28 October to 3-4 November 2026.
I’ve been trying to figure out the visa situation, but I’m getting confused because the information online isn’t very clear.
Here’s my situation:
I have an Indian passport and a German permanent residence permit.
I checked the official KSA Visa website, and it seems to suggest that I may be eligible for an eVisa, but I’m having trouble completing the application.
The website has been giving me technical issues, including CAPTCHA problems and difficulties verifying my phone number.
I haven’t booked my flights or hotel yet because I want to understand my visa options first.
My boyfriend has a German passport, so his visa process seems more straightforward than mine.
**My main questions are:**
Is it actually possible for an Indian passport holder with a German permanent residence permit to obtain a Saudi tourist eVisa?
Would it be safer to apply for an eVisa in advance, or is visa on arrival a realistic option in my situation?
Has anyone with an Indian passport and a German residence permit successfully obtained a Saudi eVisa recently?
If visa on arrival is possible, what are the actual eligibility requirements? Can I rely on it, or could I be denied boarding because I don’t have a visa beforehand?
How long does the online visa application usually take, and is there a legitimate alternative if the official website keeps failing?
I’d really appreciate hearing from people who have been in the same situation or have travelled to Saudi Arabia recently with an Indian passport.
Thank you! Any advice or personal experiences would be really helpful.

Questions regarding Ireland Join Family (Spouse) visa from India.

Hi everyone,
My wife has applied for an Ireland Join Family (Spouse) visa from India. I currently live and work in Ireland on a Critical Skills Employment Permit (CSEP) and have a Stamp 1 IRP. I am in category B.

Since the processing time is very long, I’d really appreciate if those who have gone through this process could share their timelines. Please share your

-Visa application date
-Approval/decision date
-Visa sticker (passport stamping) date
-Country you applied from (especially if India)

If you’re still waiting, please tell:
-Your application date
-Current status (no response / under processing / additional documents requested, etc.)

I’m trying to get a realistic idea of how long the process is currently taking for spouses of CSEP holders.
Thanks in advance for sharing your experience, it will really help us and others in the same situation!

Anyone recently applied for a Korean tourist visa in Vancouver? Processing time?

Hi guys!

I'm in a bit of a stressful situation right now. I'm planning to apply for a South Korean tourist visa in Vancouver as a non-Canadian citizen, but I need to get my visa within 11 days (8 business days) because I'm leaving Canada 12 days after submitting my application.

Has anyone recently applied through the Korean Consulate in Vancouver? If so, how many business days did it take to get your visa approved? From what I understand, if I leave Canada before my visa is processed, my application will be cancelled.

Also, I recently graduated from my master's program, so I'm currently unemployed. I'm submitting a 5-day travel itinerary, and I'm wondering how much money I should have in my bank account to have a reasonable chance of getting approved.

One more question: If my parents are financially supporting my trip, would it be okay to submit their bank statements along with a sponsorship letter signed by them, in addition to my own bank statements? Has anyone done this and successfully gotten their visa approved?

I'd really appreciate hearing about your recent experiences. Thanks in advance!

Getting married after applying for a Japan tourist visa — has anyone experienced this?

Hi! Has anyone applied for a Japan tourist visa while single, then gotten married right before their trip?

My partner and I plan to apply for our visas in March 2027, have our civil wedding in April, and travel to Japan in May. Assuming our visas get approved, would getting married after applying cause any issues when travelling? She intends to keep her maiden name.

Would we need to inform the embassy or submit additional documents after getting married? Did anyone experience this? Thank you!

Mexico visa for Indian

27/F

I have to attend a friend’s wedding in Mexico in JAN’27.
I am currently collecting all the visa requirement docs. I don’t have US,UK,etc visa. Travel history only Thailand & Vietnam. So, my first major visa.
Kinda panicking because the docs requirement is too extensive.
They are asking for PAN Card/ passport of people signing my salary slips?!? It is such an insane demand to be honest.

Currently, I have all documents waiting for my friends wedding card which she has posted from US. After that I will book the appointment.
For Indians who have recently applied for Mexico visa. Please tell me your experience and I would like to know in details as I really don’t want to miss this wedding.

Plus please recommend some nice places to visit (hopefully I will have my visa.

Thanks in advance 🙌🏼
