Miguel Rojas: “I want to stay here. I want to wear this logo in a different capacity and continue to make the organization better. But this is it as a player."

[Highlight] October 17, 2025: Shohei Ohtani hits 3 homers and records 10 Ks in 6.0+ scoreless innings pitched in Game 4 of the NLCS for arguably the greatest postseason performance in baseball history.

Hopefully dongsaeng can turn it around for the last year of his contract next year, with 2 club options left after.

Exactly 1 year ago, Shohei Ohtani had one of the most legendary games in the history of baseball

We never got these jackets did we?
I would pay whatever for these. But I think they were player exclusive.

Soft 2026 Conspiracy
I know a lot of folks are talking about the team throwing the NLCS to avoid the lockout. I just can’t get behind that. Brew Crew are too strong and the guys wanted it too bad.
I can’t help but think about how our WBC guys had injuries and rougher than average years.
I’m thinking of Shohei in particular.
I also know Judge and Skenes both had bad years. Skenes specifically talked about the harm of being the WBC on his health.
I know some guys like Schwarber and Witt have been fine. Are there other guys? Am I crazy?
Also, I know how much this reeks of cope…and it is.

Miguel Rojas will always be a Dodger Legend with this homer!! Enjoy your retirement Miggy Ro!!
I saw Shohei.
What are the chances that Ohtani himself comes into my work, the day right after the Dodgers get eliminated. My co-workers were going nuts, and customers even had to stop and do a double-take to realize that it was him.
All I can say is, he seems like a very nice guy. Along with his wife Mamiko, whom he was with. There was a very brief moment where we made eye contact and he greeted me with a head nod and I just said, “You’re the man, Shohei.” To which he replied, “Thank you.” Then went about his business. That little engagement was so awesome. We lost but at least he gave us that homer yesterday to cheer for. I wish him another great year next season when he’s 100% healthy. Go Dodgers!

If Miggy, Kike, Teo are gone, who becomes the "vibes" guy?
Who maintains the cheerful clubhouse culture without the trio?
I think the lineup is going to ultimately be stronger as we bring up some of our younger players, but who is going to make sure our culture remains loose and fun?

This year's exit does not feel as bad as 2023.
Yes, it sucks that our team is out. And yeah, our bats were cold as heck, but, this was a team being held together by tape, and we still have the last 2 years of amazing, amazing memories. Heck, theres even memories from this year. Shohei's homer was nice, if too little, too late.
2022, and especially 2023 felt soo bad to watch. The teams were so dominant those years, it felt like they'd finally win a full-year championship in my life time. Watching the playoffs those years, they felt like they were the team that should win, because of how good they were in the regular season. And then, they'd fizzle.
Watching Lance Lynn's meatballpalooza in 2023 felt like probably lowest point as a Dodger fan. To lose like that against the lowly DBacks? Terrible. I'm so grateful that they won in 24 and 25, and that they still had to fight for those! What a team, I'm sure the future will still be bright. Anyway, that's just my two cents.

meh…I’m not mad,
I’m not mad, just a little bummed. I’ve been a fan for 50 years, they’ve been my team since I discovered this great game as a kid, my mom was a Yankees fan, after she passed away, I waved that flag for her during the Jeter years. Like all of you, I hoped for 3 straight, even though I knew my Dodgers are a little older and maybe we shouldn’t have played in the WBC (?), but it is what it is. Our Dodgers are still the measuring stick for all of baseball and we still own the NL West. I live in Kansas, so I don’t get to see them In person unless they visit the Royals and come to Denver, and, boy do we represent! We got 3 ‘Ships in 6 years!! 🤪 I’ve been lucky enough to see 5 of 9 titles so far. So, it’s ok, we’ll be back next year! I hope everybody has a wonderful offseason and I’ll see you around! Thanks for reading!

I know we’re all kinda bummed for myriad reasons…
But I just realized I’m kinda disappointed we didn’t break out the new blue alt away kits during any of the road games in the playoffs. Maybe next year we’ll see them make their post-season debut.

Mookie Betts: "This season didn't end the way we wanted, but I just want ot thank you to everyone who supported us along the way. Through the ups and downs, you continued to show up and show love. I don't take any of that for granted. Thank You, Dodger Nation"

Shout out to Ben Rortvedt
Just vibes.
I hope he gets to be with the Dodgers long term.
Met him last year at a signing. Such a nice dude. Seemed so down to earth.
I know his teammates like him.
He was vibes all game yesterday.

From making his MLB debut as a Dodger in 2014 to finishing his career as a Dodger (despite playing at Miami in between) Thank you for everything (especially kershaw's 2014 no hitter game and the season-saving play last year), Miggy. Once a Dodger, Always a Dodger

Shoutout to Andy Pages for turning it around this postseason! I hope to see continued improvement from him next season.
Pages led the 2026 team in postseason RBI’s. Seeing the dugout go nuts after his breakthrough RBI in the NLDS was one of the high points of this postseason. I know a lot of fans soured on his bat after his 2025 performance and there is more to be desired still, but he put in the work to contribute in 2026. He kept us in it, and I think he will be better next postseason. I am grateful we have Andy Pages.

Things that warm the hearts of fans in the offseason - Day 1
r/Dodgers • u/sammieswammie • 9h ago
Random thoughts about the players we will have on our roster entering next season.
- I don’t think Mookie is a top of the order bat anymore and he should move to 2nd to save body.
- Yamamoto, Ohtani, Snell, Glasnow, Sasaki, Sheehan, Wrobleski is a good enough rotation to win division…however
- Glasnow has not met the expectations when we traded for him. He is not a dependable top end starter in playoffs and can’t stay healthy.
- Snell can’t stay healthy for a full season.
- the further development of Sasaki as a front line starter is crucial to Dodgers success next season.
- If Teoscar can be moved the team should make JDP the full time LF despite the fielding worries.
- Diaz should return to form next season. His good year followed by bad year stats are hilariously accurate.
- Tanner Scott needs a third pitch. He should be used as a lefty specialist. I can’t watch when he pitches.
- All the talk about Yamamoto possibly being the greatest postseason pitcher before his start against the Brewers made the baseball gods angry, so of course he had a terrible outing.
- Pages is a FA in 2030. Where does that put Sirota, who is also a +defender in CF, but can also hit RHP. Pages numbers not great.
- Freeland/Kim are not usable players at SS.
- Jake Bauers is a free agent at the end of the season. His one chance at a big contract, Brewers probably don’t resign him. I’m coping.
- The dynasty is not over.
