At 00:54 of overtime, C. Caufield let a quick one go from the slot, and that settled the game for the Canadiens.
The Canadiens produced a 21-10 edge in close-range shots on goal. The Canadiens' penalty kill went 4-for-4. The Sabres faced five power plays and killed four of them. The Canadiens also struck the iron twice.
When I went to the TD garden 3 years back, it was nice and all, the atmosphere was very good. And I had a ton of fun watching the game there (even if it was Leafs V Bruins).
But it just wasn't the Bell Centre.
The Bell Centre is the most fun, most energetic LOUDEST arena in the entire NHL. You can feel its aura from 5 blocks away, the fans are fucking nuts in the best possible way, we put so much into the presentation of the arena.
You get shivers from the pregame.
THE FUCKING PREGAME.
I went there for the game tonight and HOLY SHIT. What a feeling.
Can't watch the game so am listening on the radio and as a fairly new hockey fan absolutely loving it!
Please could someone tell me the names of the commentators on this feed? (TSN690).
Especially one of them keeps giving these little analyses of specific moments and plays, I feel like I'm learning so much listening to him. It's really fun! He just ended the second half commentary by calling the Sabres PP as "vampiric" saying it sucks the life out of them 😆🧛♂️
J'ai l'impression d'écouter un mauvais podcast à chaque fois. Aucune analyse de jeu, juste des expressions qui veulent rien dire "faut peser sur le gaz", "faut pas lâcher". Come on!!
Les pubs qui cache l'écran pendant le jeu... c'est une déception chaque match.
I’m from Trinidad and Tobago 🇹🇹 and I’ve recently become a fan of the Montreal Canadiens! I’m still pretty new to hockey and learning about the team, its history, the players, and the sport in general.
I’d love to connect with some fellow Habs fans who wouldn’t mind sharing their knowledge, recommending players to follow, explaining the team’s biggest rivalries, or just talking hockey with me.
I know I’m a long way from Montreal, but I’d love to become more involved in the fanbase and learn what makes this team so special.
If anyone is interested in chatting or helping a new fan get into the Habs, feel free to comment or send me a message. I’d really appreciate it!
