2+ hour interview just dropped

Tried to do a Billy/Baltimore mashup. The Bill Ripken card was the first thing that came to mind lol.

Seemed pretty quiet. Girl at the gas station was unaware of who Billy was.. but I think it'll be clear by this time in one week.

Saw Billy for the first time ever at the LA Forum last night! I had seats, and it’s a classy venue, so I wore some dress shoes, brand new jeans, and a button up shirt. I expected him to attract a country crowd, with cowboy hats in the audience but boy was I wrong. He attracts that “Grateful Dead”, tye dye t-shirt, hippie crowd! Nicest people ever though, amazing vibe!

Mostly writing this so anyone who’s seeing him for the first time, knows what to expect! Hell of a performance, he’s gonna be playing in arenas for decades

I had to say goodbye to my best friend in the entire world last night after finding out she had cancer. She used her last strength to go outside to rest in the yard. Her name was Roxie and she was the best dog in the entire world. We watched the sun set while waiting for the vet to arrive to help send her on her way. I listened to this song a few times in her final hour and after she left me I got hit with the biggest wave of peace and calmness. I think this song really set the appropriate mood and making saying goodbye okay. Needless to say, if the guys play this in October during my shows, I’m going to ugly cry and I’m sorry to anyone around me. Hug your pups extra tight on our behalf as you start your day or end your night. Sending love to this community and happy summer shows.

Edit: thank you to all you beautiful souls for your love. I hope we get to share a dance under the rainbow together. Roxie was the best girl and her loss is devastating, but to be able to tell her that her job was done and she’s free to go while letting her sleep the big sleep while the sun says it’s goodbye for the night was the best gift I could repay her with. I barely slept last night and watched the sun rise this morning. It was equally beautiful and I felt a gift from her saying she made it and things are going to be okay.

High school buddies and I used to throw a beach party on the Mississippi River around Red Wing, MN back in the day. Revitalized it this year for a live stream of the Indiana show camping on the beach. Will definitely be turning into a yearly event!

Is there anyone else out there who genuinely believed ICP was going to perform a song with Billy on Saturday? Shortly after I arrived, I was told by someone in earnest that ICP would be out "during Billy's second set". Once I saw that the bar was serving Faygo, my sativa-addled brain had no doubt this was true.

FTR, I am not disappointed it did not happen, I just truly had a great time imagining the possibilities for all those hours, and I'm wondering how widespread this rumor was 😂

The inspo for this one was just the idea of pretending Sirius XM launched a Billy Strings radio station and I got the chance to guest DJ the Midnight Rider show.

Call it a pill for the day to day… the show starts with a daily 4 AM prank call to a random Billy fan, followed by 4+ hours of uninterrupted song picks to help you stay inspired until the morning light and wake up ready & steady for your 9-5.
