I have a Hong Kong company and nearly 35 years of business experience in China. I’m looking for a part-time assistant in Guangzhou or Foshan who speaks English and Chinese. Most work is by phone and WeChat, with factory visits when I’m in China. No experience needed—I’ll teach you to inspect goods and supervise container loading. This is a beginner role with a modest salary, discussed in person. Message me if interested.

I am from China and a recent university graduate. For the past three years, I have been engaged in various part-time jobs. I am looking for an opportunity to work for a company based abroad; I am willing to start with a one-month trial period, and if my performance is not up to standard, I will forgo any pay.

Where can I find teaching jobs in formal schools or colleges (not training centers) in Shenzhen? I live in Shenzhen and mainly use Boss Zhipin, but most of the postings I see are from training centers.

Hello, I've been applying for jobs in China and keep seeing jobs listings with the word "consultant" in the title, when the job is essentially a teaching job. I.E. Essay Consultant, English Consultant, Linguistic Consultant. But really their job duties are "help with a curriculum" and "teach x amount of kids."

What exactly is the difference between the two? My guess is that a consultant is a fancy word for Training institutes to call their tutors but I want to know if I'm right or not. Thank you for any information!

So let’s say I want to move from my 5 years of experience BtoB salesperson job in France to China and I don’t wanna become an english/french teacher long term. Is there opportunities as an employee I would get an edge over a native ? I don’t speak Mandarin although I'm fluent in English/French but I am not delusional to think that's enought to easily get a job there. This isnt the 90s anymore and I don’t wanna be that guy anyway.

My point is mostly this: while I'm good at my job I don’t see the niche I would fit in the current chinese job market. But maybe I am wrong ?

Some background: 5 years of experience in business management, currently based in Beijing, earning the equivalent of about HK$20k/month.

I received an offer from an AI unicorn in Hong Kong for an officer-level role: HK$45k/month x 13, with a hybrid arrangement, so I wouldn’t have had to relocate right away.

I turned it down for three reasons:

1. The package felt low for an officer-level role, also I was interviewing with other tech giants who offered way more than this.
2. I was worried about the cost of living if I eventually had to move to HK.
3. The HR mentioned that their layoff rate last year was 70%, which made the job feel very unstable.

The thing is, I see HK as a good first step toward working abroad, and I haven’t received a better offer since. Now I’m second-guessing myself.

A few questions:

1. Is HK$45k x 13 reasonable for this kind of role and level?
2. Would you have taken it as a stepping stone, even if the pay was underwhelming?
3. Is it realistic to revisit the company, or is that a bridge burned?

Honest opinions are welcome, including “you made the right call” or “you were too picky.” Thanks!

I am currently looking for a teaching position in China. I hold a master’s degree in English Language and Culture, a bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature, and a 120-hour TESOL certificate.

I have been teaching in Vietnam for the past four years. I take pride in doing my job well and truly enjoy working with young children. I am aware of the challenges that non-native English-speaking teachers often face when applying for teaching roles in China.

However, I have previously received a work permit notification letter for a position in a third-tier city in China.

Any recommendations/ referrals will be much appreciated.

I'm currently based in India and looking to explore opportunities in China, particularly in the AI/semiconductor/chip industry. I would require work visa sponsorship and am open to relocating.

Hello! I'm a third year civil engineering student from Nova Scotia, Canada and I'm interested in trying to get a coop opportunity in Beijing, China. My coop term starts this coming summer.

I'm not sure what is the best way to go about or if this is even a viable endeavor. I've been trying to learn a little bit of mandarin but I haven't been very good. I can speak English, French and Spanish but not much luck on Mandarin so that's probably another aspect that would hinder my search.

If you guys have any tips or ideas, I'd be happy to hear!

Hi everyone, my name is Felipe and I live in the United States. I’ll be traveling to Heze/Juancheng, Shandong, at the end of October to visit the human hair market in Zhengying and meet local hair suppliers.
I’m looking for someone who speaks Mandarin and either Portuguese or English and can assist me with translation, communication, and negotiation for about 1–2 days.
The visit to the hair market itself should only take around 2 to 2.5 hours, and the rest of the time may include visiting nearby suppliers.
Ideally, I’m looking for someone who already lives in Heze, Juancheng, Zhengying, or nearby.
If you can help, or if you know someone reliable who can, please send me a private message.
Thank you very much!

Hello All,
I'm a native English speaker from the United States who holds a US passport. I also have a BA in humanities and TESOL certified, with about five years of teaching experience in the continuing education department at an at IVY league college in the states, private tutoring, and just recently completed working in Turkey as an EFL instructor this past summer. I'm back in the states now and will start grad school in the fall of '27, however, in the meantime, I'd ideally like to go back overseas to get back into teaching, and chase the forecast, as I really don't want to be on the east coast of the United States this winter. That said, I'd ideally like to find a warmer destination that I could spend the winter until June, when I'll head back to Turkey for the summer, then back to the states to return to university.

I am open to working anywhere in the world with the exception of the UAE or Saudi Arabia. A destination where I can earn a decent pay that would enable me to save a bit and still have somewhat of a social life. I'm open to an hourly or contracted position that would accommodate a six month contract. Preferably a contract that provides housing or some type of housing stipend. Per my research I'm starting to realize that this may be a bit of a reach with my limitations and expectations, so I'd figured I'd turn here and see if anyone who's been in a similar situation and has successfully completed a experience that resembles my current situation can provide some advice, or anyone who's knowledgeable about navigating the waters here could also give some feedback.
thanks in advance!
