Choosing new headphones

Currently looking for headphones to replace my old G PRO X gaming headset. Main use would be gaming and casual listening. I do not need a mic and currently I'm looking between these few options. Fiio Ft1 Hifiman Edition xs Sennheiser HD 490 pro Budget is maximum 500 dollars. Would prefer a China brand because I can get them much cheaper from where I'm living. For example, I can get the hifiman edition xs brand new for only 125 usd

Best comfortable BT headphones with great mic quality

So I currently have Bose QC45s I use for work all day, and despite making it work for 4 years, I've had enough of people telling me my voice is echoey or accusing me of being on speakerphone. From the research I've done it seems these are somewhat known for their less than stellar mic performance. I've considered external mics or mods, but don't want to go down that road. I will literally be using these for phone calls only. What cans less than $125USD will offer all day comfort and great mic quality. I don't care if they're even $50. I'm a former headphone enthusiast located in Canada. Thanks!

Headphone Advice: What should I buy?

I've been making music for some years and lately, i've been using, and bear with me here, some **20$ blackfire playstation gaming headphones.** They don't have any bass at all.

I'm looking for some headphones (*not in-ears or earpods*) that I can use both as a producer on my room making music or as a listener, on the street, something both bluetooth and with cable.

I don't need something that sounds awesome but I want it to sound decently good.

My budget is **100€.** What could & should I buy? Should I get open back or closed back? Thank you and have a good day. \^\^

Purchasing AUS

Hi everyone, so I'll get straight to the point. I'm making a huge upgrade to my current setup

(laptop>FIIO Q3 mqa>senniser HD 600s)

To (FIIO R7>FIIO k9 akm>senniser HD 600s)

So a massive upgrade, does anyone have this setup?

I found the R7 second hand for $350Aud and I offered $200 and I haven't heard anything back so... Crap.

Is there a streamer a alternative you guys would recommend for this setup?

And I would really like if it would also be able to work with local FLAC files.

I also looking at getting the FIIO warmer R2R down the road just for that more warm sound when I feel like it.

Thanks.

Looking for comfortable headphones

Hey, I've been looking for good quality headphones that will last me a long time and are comfortable. My price range is ideally under $300 but I'm willing to extend it to like $350 if it's really good value.

I've been really interested in the Cambridge Melomania P100SE since the build quality and design look really good to me but I'm kinda worried about how heavy they are since my old set was around 260g

Any help would be great

Please help

Im looking for headphones that are pretty kickass without a price tag that makes my bank account consider murdering me. Price range is around $300.

Im looking for a closed back pair. Im looking for a neutral sound for watching videos as im gonna use an eq app for tuning for music. That said, I will be listening to mostly heavy metal, if that is important. A wired connection, obviously, but it needs to be capable of being driven off a phone/laptop. I've looked at many different options and been told many different things. Please help me! 🙏🙏🙏

Hyperx cloud alpha settings

Comparison Question

So, for background, I've been doing some research and narrowing down my list of options. I started years ago with Turtle Beach and then moved onto the Corsair Void (Didn't like the bass tuning, was too much), switched to a SteelSeries Arctis Pro, LOVED it and it's honestly my favorite level of comfort + audio, especially for gaming. But the headset top broke eventually so I ended up replacing it with a V-MODA Crossfade M-100 Master.

LOVED the V-Moda audio but the comfort and build quality left a bit to be desired. Tried the E-MU Teak, DT 1770 Pro, and some other options but similar to the Void I didn't like the bass tuning on those.

Finally found the ATH-A990Z and honestly, these have been my go-to for years now. Gaming, music, videos, everything. However, sometimes I feel like the audio and bass could be improved, as well as, the top left head-pad is starting to break. So I'm just looking at other options at this point, and so far, I've narrowed it down to the following choices:

  • Audio-Technica ATH-M50x
  • Sennheiser HD 620S
  • Denon AH-D5200

Please feel free to talk me in or out of, or even suggest other options. Any advice at all would be much appreciated, thanks~

  • Budget max is <$1,000 but obviously, I'm not *trying* to spend hundreds if I don't need to you know?
  • I wish I could use open-back but closed back is necessary due to microphone and production.
  • And for comfort, the SteelSeries Arctis Pro headband is still genuinely the most comfortable headset I've worn in life. So, I wish more options had that design. Didn't like some of the heavier options + leather or velour pads due to the heat.

Uses are primarily gaming so imaging and accuracy is important, as well as video editing, music production. So range + soundstage is important also. I just want something that can hit on all those points, sounds wonderful, and is comfortable.

Thanks in advance~

Best compatible replacement earcups for Sony Inzone H3?

Thumbnail

Hey everyone,

I’ve been rocking a pair of Sony Inzone H3 headphones for about 3 years now for gaming and movies, and overall I really like them.

The catch? The stock earcups finally gave up, loosened, and fell apart completely (honestly, the only real weak point of these cans).

Does anyone have recommendations for good compatible replacement earcups that fit well and don't ruin the comfort or sound? Would love any links or brand suggestions you've had good luck with.

Best headphones for techno, wireless + ANC, ~$1,500 budget?

I'm looking to splurge on some new headphones as my gen 1 AirPod Max are starting to fail on me. I primarily listen to melodic techno, so I need a good bass response ,and something that can separate the layers. These will also be used for frequent travel and the NYC subway, so wireless and ANC is a must. My budget is ~$1,500, though I'm willing to pay a little bit more if it's worth it.

I was looking into the Focal Bathys MG and Bowers & Wilkins Px8 S2, but I'm open to any suggestions you all might have!

I am very disappointed because these headphones clamp my head a lot; they are my first pair (Sony 720n), and after wearing them for just 30 minutes, I get a bad headache. I need help—what should I do?
