MCU [MOD ANNOUNCEMENT] r/Hulk Spoiler Policy Regarding the Leaked Avengers: Endgame Encore Post-Credit Scenes Spoiler

Hello to our members!!

As many of you are already aware, descriptions and footage of the new post-credit scenes from the upcoming Avengers: Endgame Encore theatrical re-release have leaked online today.

Because these leaks contain major plot points for the future of the MCU—including direct setups involving Bruce Banner/Hulk—we are enforcing a strict ZERO-TOLERANCE SPOILER POLICY effective immediately to keep the sub safe for everyone who wants to go into the theater fresh.

Please read and follow the updated rules below:

1. NO SPOILERS IN TITLES

  • Absolutely no mention of leaked characters, plot points, cameos, or quotes in post titles (e.g., Do NOT post: "Thoughts on [Character] showing up?").
  • Keep all post titles completely neutral and non-descriptive. Posts with spoiler titles will be removed instantly, and repeat offenders will face a temporary ban.

2. MANDATORY SPOILER TAGS ON ALL POSTS

  • Any post discussing, referencing, or analyzing the Endgame Encore leaks MUST be marked with the Reddit Spoiler Tag ([SPOILER]) and tagged with the proper post flair.

3. SPOILER TAGS IN UNRELATED COMMENT THREADS

  • If you are commenting in a standard, non-leak thread (e.g., fan art, comic discussions, general Hulk appreciation, or movie threads not marked for leaks), you MUST hide all leak details using Markdown spoiler tags >!like this!<.
  • Exception: Inside designated spoiler-free or spoiler-marked posts explicitly created to discuss the leaks, standard untagged comments are fine.

4. FREE DISCUSSION ZONE

  • You may discuss the leaks freely and without spoiler tags in the comments UNDER THIS VERY POST.

5. EXPIRATION OF THIS POLICY

  • This emergency policy will remain strictly enforced through the theatrical release and will officially end two weeks after the September 25 release date (October 9, 2026). After October 9, standard sub rules regarding spoiler tagging will resume.

Help us keep the community clean—if you see a rogue spoiler in an untagged title or thread, please use the Report button so the mod team can handle it quickly.

General I hate how people misrepresent the Hulk as just a big angry rage monster

One thing that really annoys me is how a lot of people I see on TikTok and Instagram say that they hate Hulk's direction in the MCU being pushed to the side and want to see a more "big, angry rage monster" in the future. Hulk being a 'monster' is a HUGE exaggeration of who he is. I'm not against Hulk being angry and destructive; that's an important part of his character, but I feel like people often overlook the tortured, fractured man behind the rage, reducing him to a problem to be controlled rather than a person whose trauma needs to be understood.

Savage Hulk is a direct representation of Bruce's childhood trauma, where he was abused and made to suppress his rage and raw emotions, resulting in the Savage Hulk. We see in The Immortal Hulk that his anger derives from people trying to contain, diminish, or harm him, which is something that's incredibly superficial in his modern media portrayals. Hulk was, in my opinion, more of a child than an actual monster. We see him wanting to play with toys and animals, things he finds solace in because they don't judge him for being what he is. However, the abuse from his father and his godly strength still bleed through, sometimes causing him to destroy the toys and harm the animals. But Hulk is much more than that. He wants to be left alone and to be himself — to be cared for and to have a father figure.

Devil Hulk is, in my opinion, the second most captivating personality after Savage Hulk, stemming from Bruce's need for a father and protector. Devil Hulk's worldview regarding the destruction of mankind comes from how humanity treats Banner and Savage Hulk like monsters, when the true culprit behind the damage Hulk causes is actually how people perceive him and their fear of him as a supernatural monster. Devil Hulk's demise comes directly from his desire to protect Bruce, with Savage Hulk holding him back from killing the Leader in the form of Brian Banner, unwilling to hurt Savage Hulk to protect Bruce. From when Bruce was young, Devil Hulk would tell him that Brian was a bad father for abusing him (he was, don't get me wrong), but Devil Hulk was always there for him. "I love you. I'll always be here for you." That part really broke me. It shows how much Devil Hulk cared for Bruce, always offering him food but sometimes wanting to kill Brian for how he treated him.

Grey Hulk (Joe Fixit) represented a different idea of what a father and protector should be, as well as what Bruce thought a man should be like during his childhood. He had a silver tongue and was willing to do whatever it took to end up on top. But really, this is a flawed mindset: the idea that hurting and swindling others is a way to become successful and happy. This mirrors Thunderbolt Ross, who was almost like a man who wouldn't take anything from anybody and looked down on the weak, calling Banner a "milksop" for not being physically strong and for holding on to things from his past, whether that be his emotions or the doll his mother gave him.

We see how multifaceted Hulk is compared to his MCU counterpart, where his character is often pushed toward being a problem to solve rather than a person struggling with his own mental issues and trauma. Some people want to see a more monstrous Hulk again, and I have no problem with that, as his anger and destruction are important parts of his character. I just think there's so much more to him than that. His different personalities and his relationship with Bruce reveal the years of abuse and emotional suppression behind his rage. I want the MCU to explore that complexity again, because Hulk can be an unstoppable force of destruction while still being a deeply vulnerable and tragic character.

General I want Marvel to give Hulk and Sam more interactions given Hulk's time with Jim.

So I ended up going through the Onslaught stuff for something or other and I forgot how much respect Sam had for Hulk being their for Sam's nephew (though Hulk kinda lost that trust during a failed shot at Onslaught, where Onslaught made Sam, Clint, Vision, and Crystal think they died and was toying with them and Hulk). Then I remembered the What If episode where Hulk turns into a Kaiju and the friendship between him and Sam.

Then I started thinking, why haven't there been that many interactions between the two? I kinda want to see some chill moments and team-ups between the two. Maybe Hulk and Sam visit Jim's grave every now and again, maybe Sam and his brother Gideon invite Hulk/Bruce for a family dinner from time to time (that is if Gideon forgives Hulk from getting rid of his gamma powers).

I dunno, what do you guys think?

MCU MCU hulk is still one of the strongest avengers.

The mcu hulks weakest form professor hulk didn’t provide the true hulks upper limits of strength. But even that form of the hulk is still a planetary gamma conduit. Professor hulk could absorb the residual energy from bringing back half of the universe.

Then hulk easily over whelmed Thor in their second fight thro can only really be hurt by planetary level energy. Thanos beat the hulk in a test of combat skill not pure brute strength had the hulk been actually powered up or angry to fight. Thanos could only make the hulk bleed and knock him out. He healed that damage in 30 seconds as he flew to earth. I’ve seen hulk take more damage against the abomination…hulk being able to hurt Thanos puts him planetary and potentially higher if he got angry instead of sad.

Hela is also above planetary and definitely star. She broke Thors hammer. Thors hammer was forged in a star and could easily hurt Thanos and the hulk. The hulk ate the hits from this weapon and kept getting back up. Hela was also one tapped by surtur. And then only other person who could hurt surtur was the hulk who jumped and punched him.
