DISCUSSION Can we all just agree that child abuse is wrong and period?
All of what John's parents did to their children is disgusting

This was at the very end of the first teaser. Obviously it was deleted, but I’m simply curious as to why it’s gone, and where it would’ve taken place in the narrative.
Obviously this is just fun speculation, but still.

I’ve seen people online saying Lanterns didn't use the full oath in the trailer, but after testing it myself, I realized there's actually only one version of the oath they used the whole time. The one in the trailer is the exact same recording as the one in Episode 2. I slowed Ep 2 version down for comparison (the first one saying is from the trailer, the second one follow is from Ep 2). All they did was slow down the audio and make some slight edits. The most obvious proof is how Kyle Chandler says "Beware my power"as it sounds exactly the same. You just can't say the same phrase at two different speeds and have every inflection match like that naturally. My guess is they wanted to build hype for the trailer, so the editor just recycled the only version they had on hand. I was kinda bummed out by because I was really hoping Hal would say the oath in an Injustice 2-style moment to power up, or that we’d see him saying it for the very first time. Sadly, that didn't happen,Hal just speed run through it all(which is still cool). Anyway, that’s just my little rant. What do you guys think?

Growing up watching the Justice League animated series, I truly couldn’t be happier with the casting choice for a young John Stewart. Is this the general consensus?

Loved the show, every minute. I'm glad the show was grounded as the DCU just started, it made the Corps feel mysterious, seeing yellow represent fear on John's lantern was exciting, it was exciting hearing them tease Atrocitus and the red lanterns, it was exciting hearing them tease either Parallax or Blackest Night. I don't want everything right away and if they don't have the time or money to make a fantastical Green Lantern show then so be it! The show was good and I loved how they did both characters (though I agree Hal's death could habe been better.) I'm excited for season two.

In the superhero verse RDJ as Tony, Hugh as Wolverine , Chris Hemsworth as Thor and Chris Evans as cap were some slick decisions.
But this show was fcking rad. Kyle chandler is literally perfect casting. Watched every episode weekly when it came out and throughly enjoyed it.
Please for the love of god do not take 3 years to make season 2.

Been on this sub way too much 😭😭 on the account that I’m on break rn. But just wanted to clarify w people out here saying they wanted to bring back Hal all along. The evidence pretty much points to the fact that that just isn’t the case. The attached Lindelof excerpt also isnt the only example. I believe Gunn was quoted in an another article , which I can’t find rn, as saying (tldr) that Hal’s death brought a needed sense of gravity to the DCU and iterated Lindelofs point that its permanence needed to happen so that the season and ultimately John’s succession felt emotionally earned.
So there’s a chance Hal can come back because S2 is free game for the almost entirely new writing staff. But specifically gleaning from this article and from one of the creators mouth himself, that’s literally not what he would want to see. A Hal revival would be a response to fan reception, not original intent. Season 2 was never promised for anyone to say that they were preparing for
a S2 Hal revival, when they didn’t and still don’t know if S2 is even going to happen. Would be irresponsible from a producers perspective to leave such a huge DCU event to chance without any semblance of a greenlight. They were ready to put Hal’s presence in the DCU, and all the typical lore that comes with him, to bed with S1.
People use Sinestros revival line in S1 as evidence of a longer term Hal gameplay, but I think that line more points to 1) Sinestro being his usual deceptive, manipulative self. And 2) writers leaving freedom for potential season 2 writers to explore an unbound Lanterns world. The first point is just bulding character and suspense. The second point is actually more just responsibility to the series to not lock in potential future writers, but it doesn’t then imply they had a Hal revival in the works. Especially when by all accounts we now know form the horses mouth, it wasn’t soemthjng they wanted to see for themselves in the first place.
There’s also a handful of other reasons why inclusion of Hal could be a disruption to the DCU at large, but wanted to stick to this.
Edit: it’d be cool if dissenting opinions added to convo, rather than just downvote. Actually appreciate dialogue rooted in exchanging thoughts, not simply whether or not there’s agreement.

I feel like it’s pretty clear they don’t plan to do it even in season 2, no one knows yet obviously but I just doubt it.
I feel a movie would be the only way to see all the cool CGI characters and high budget fights and what not, what do y’all think?

Ignoring the battery % lets say he was capable of doing something before popping back to John.
Of course going back to Sinestro was an idea but with the portal gone probably not. Another he projected to his contact in Guadalajara, so it can be anybody they want, someone who watches or at least aware of the John and Noah situation.
Do you guys have any?
