He doesn't exactly keep his origins secret, whenever someone asks him he answers honestly. But literally nobody bothers to ask questions in this story. Priscilla knows, and he told Anastasia in a failed loop.

So I'm an anime only, though I larp on the side. If Subaru is Flugel and made the tower so only he'd pass, what would his answer to the second trial with Reid be? IIRC the only times it was cleared was by Emilia because Reid was just playing around and Julius because Gluttony's body couldn't keep up after consuming him. Both of these feel like they would be out-of-scope when anticipating how to clear them.

Shaula basically lays it out when she reveals that Rule 5 (Destroying the tests isnât forbidden) exists. As per her previous statements, as long as she isnât ordered to break the 5 rules, sheâll follow Subaruâs own orders.
Subaru can just order her to destroy the remaining tests (only reason he didnât was that they had bigger things to worry about by the time he figured it out). Exam spirits Reid and Volcanica canât leave their floors so her long range attacks can just be used to destroy the tests without risk of retaliation.

Oh that's a good point. I didn't consider that Shaula would be allowed to destroy the tests since she's the "proctor" basically. But yeah, she listens to Subaru unconditionally. That was probably the expectation upon designing the tower.

Flugel Never traveled alone back then, and the one thing that we know about him is that he was weak.
So it was obvious that he wouldn't come alone to the tower

Maybe, but it still feels risky. Shaula says multiple times that Flugel was forgetful, so it's not like it would be unexpected for Subaru to appear unprepared and not bring a strong enough person. And then there's the rule where Shaula will go berserk if people try to leave after they enter.
The rules feel like it would easily backfire, especially since his checkpoint could (and did) get set inside the tower.

Personally, I would see all of the towers trials as a computer.
The first trial is (lets say it is) the Login of the tower, as any login device it needs a password, but someone with enough will, time and patience could theoretically pass the first test by brute force, ergo trying every convination until one is right.
However, Reid is not beatable with (just) this mindset, since this mf is tecnically the World Strongest (at his time) he needs either an challenger of similar or superior strenght (Reinhard for example), someone that can make his guard lower so he or she may get a cheap shot (someone like certain silver haired elf) o someone that can bring him down to his level, if only there was a type of magic to help with this...

Emilia already tried every stone before Subaru woke up, so the test could only be solved if you knew the answer while touching it

Ok i just checked the novel and you are right

Subaru broke down Juliusâs mild manner of speaking to the bread and bones of it. Emilia and Meili, who had heard that explanation, were patting their heads with what seemed to be a look of embarrassment about them.
Just attempting to touch and check every single one of them, certainly it looked like they had tried to carry out that tactic. Nevertheless, it did not seem that it had done the trick.
Subaru: [Itâs an Trial after all. It means we have to solve the problem and answer it.]
Now if i can put my opinion on this subject i would say that, if knowing the answer is part of the requirement one could theoretically either obtain that knowledge from either Flugel or Subaru.
The only person i could say it would fit the bill for Flugel is either Echidna the witch or Pandora. And the latter is the one is what i believe Reid would be the firewall though.
Since i remember that there was a comment that if Theresia had the sword saint DP she could get Pandora to a draw or something like that.

Surprisingly, I donât blame Subaru too much for this. In his defense, he doesnât think like a normal human being at all; he is so traumatized that he is, for all intents and purposes, a highly functional psychopath whose primary goal is to protect his own life and his friends. Furthermore, it has been confirmed on several occasions that Subaru isnât particularly ambitiousâhe has no desire to change the world or become a true hero. Those are just side effects; his actual objective is simply to live a long, happy life with the people he loves. I can understand why heâd prefer to stay as far away from all this nonsense as possibleâespecially given the rather unpleasant memories he has involving the Witches of Sin.
What I *do* blame are all the other charactersâthe ones supposedly much more intelligent than himâwho just stand around while Subaru gives off tons of suspicious signals, yet they fail to react at all. Damn it, even the Witch Cultâin the current arcâis so unsettled by Subaru that theyâre actively trying to assassinate him and destroy his reputation, precisely because they know thereâs something very strange about him.

Smart people is humble. Know theres many resources a person can have other than inteligence. I won't say luck, but a persona can have the magnetism to make other do the needful. Or blind faith in himself and talent enough to pull small miracles. If you are intelligent and see somebody pulling that again and again, you respect that, even if you know that person is not smart. Not saying a smart person won't save a reserve somewhere for when everything falls apart.

Dammit, I litteraly checked the dictionary definition of astrology and astronomy while making this, because I wanted to make sure I used ASTRONOMY, the scientific one, not the fortune telling one. But I mixed them up anyway and wrote astrology somehow.Â

Imagine this:
Hi, my name is Leo, and I've been summoned to another world. This world has lots of crazy magical stuff, like time travel and clones and memory erasure.
Anyways, me and my party headed to the "Lion's watchtower" to seek the wisdom of the sage. When we got there, some hot girl called Freddy said I'm her master, she also uses lots of earth lingo. Anyway I dont remember ever meeting her before so idk what's up with her.
To climb the tower we needed to complete some trials. The first trial had 100 anthropomorphic animals, and the riddle was "the monster's fangs crushed the child's soul, which bite was the deadliest of all?"
Luckily, I'm a five night at Freddy's fan, so this was easy for me, I chose the 87th animal and solved the trial immediately. Who would've though my Fnaf knowledge would end up usefull.
What did you say? "I should explore the connection between me and the mysterious figure from the past who is very similar to me"? Why would I do that? it's just a coincidence, bro, I mean he was alive 400, how could we even be related?
