Mod Announcement NO Promotions and Advertising.

We've never had an official rule and worked on a case by case basis, but this will serve as an official rule.

Due to the risks of safety and quality of the sub we're going to not allow the promotion and advertisements of groups, ziyarats, subreddits, pages, communities, apps, crossposts, donations... etc

If you are a credible group, speak to the moderators and we'll verify you and work something out, otherwise to the people who want to create communities I suggest just advertising through contributions to the group and people get curious and hit you up.

many donations end up being scams unfortunately so there is no way to verify, if it's desperate just talk to the mods but expect a lot of verification

we won't promote any independent or local scholars, sharing videos is fine just don't spam it and don't let it be the only thing you do.

we won't allow promotion of ziyarat groups as sometimes they are scams, obviously there are exceptions.

dating apps are a big no,

apps are a big no because of user data and other security risks

discords and reddits you made are also a no, esp since the ones i've seen lately are super bait. you can make them just don't promote them

If anyone has suggestions or a work around or thoughts, I'm open to having my mind changed share your thoughts, this mostly applies to people we don't know

Please pray for the Muslim women and girls of Azerbaijan. I beg of you.

I ask all of you to pray for the women and girls of Azerbaijan. The cursed Zionist government has taken away the rights to their education. Why? Because they wear the hijab. Today was the Wiladat of Sayyida Zaynab SA, a woman who showed what piousness and purity looks like. We ask Allah by the intercession of Sayyida Zaynab and her pure mother, that the suffering of the Muslim women and girls of Azerbaijan comes to end quickly. And may Allah curse the government of Azerbaijan.

Ilahi Ameen.

Hadith 1: Al-Husayn bin Ahmad bin Idris narrated to us. He said: "My father narrated to us from Ibrahim b. Hashim from Ismail bin Marrar from Yunus bin Abd al-Rahman from Abd Allah bin Sinan from al-Sadiq Jafar bin Muhammad AS. He said:

'There are five things without which one will not find much satisfaction. It was said: What are they, O son of the Messenger of Allah? He said: (1) religion, (2) intellect, (3) modesty, (4) beautiful character, and (5) beautiful manners. There are also five things without which one will not find livelihood: (1) health, (2) security, (3) needlessness, (4) contentment, and (5) amiable correspondence.'"

Source: Shaykh al-Saduq RAH, Al-Amali, book 1, chapter 48, hadith 14.

Hadith 2: Amir al-Muminin AS said:

"Whomever modesty clothes with its dress people cannot see his defects."

Meaning: If a person adorns himself with the quality of modesty then it prevents him from committing evil acts. Therefore, he has no evil for the people to find in him. Even if a bad act is ever committed by him he does not commit it openly because of his feeling of modesty lest the people notice him.

May Allah bless the righteous women and girls of Azerbaijan. Ilahi Ameen.

Question / Help i feel lost & my anxiety is getting the best of me; i need help, i dont know where to go from here.

• Upvotes

Salam everyone,

I’m a 30-year-old Shia woman, and lately I’ve been struggling to find a balance between my faith, my identity, and the life I want to experience.

I’ve dated Iraqi Shia men with the intention of marriage, but unfortunately, none of those connections worked out. It’s reached a point where I feel like the only men who genuinely show interest in me are outside my religious or cultural background.

Recently, I met a Christian man who gave me the attention and affection I’d been longing for. But after spending time with him, I felt strangely disconnected. Not exactly guilty, but almost as though the experience was empty and didn’t align with what I genuinely wanted.

I’ve also noticed that whenever I step outside my comfort zone, I experience a lot of anxiety and uncertainty. Yet whenever I pray, I feel incredibly grounded. It’s almost as though I remember who I am, and that whatever happens in life, I’ll be okay.

I want to reconnect with Allah and my religion, but I don’t want religion to become something consuming, where I lose my individuality, curiosity, or desire to enjoy life. I want to build a meaningful life, grow as a person, experience the world, and eventually find a loving spouse without feeling like I’m constantly waiting for marriage to start living.

How do I find that balance? How do I reconnect with my faith in a way that feels genuine, peaceful, and sustainable, while still being myself?

I’d really appreciate any wisdom or personal experiences, especially from anyone who’s gone through something similar. Ive been living between Kuwait & the western world the past 20 years & im in therapy now, i have no stability in my life (no room etc) due to my families indecisiveness in this world & its making me lose my mind, like i want to leave them & go live alone, but knowing if i do that i wont be okay without them in my life, i do love them but i feel so lost, i feel as if im misunderstood all the time & when i do find someone that could potentially understand me & find a connection with, its never a good muslim man, its mostly a man theres no future with, this christian man for example; i spent a couple of days getting to know him & hes been nothing but attentive, but i dont feel that connection where i know he’ll be accepted by my family & me especially.

i feel like life really f*cked me over with my geographical location, all of this aside i really do feel like im connected to my faith, sometimes i feel like having a man that leads me to allah in his own way without losing my individuality is what i really need, but im not sure this even exists at this point.

i want allah to naturally lead me to allah, to myself, to my future spouse, ive never admitted this but i really want nothing more then to have a small beautiful home with a man who truly wants to understand & help me, where i can still be independent yet loved, and love, and just be in myself.

im just finding it increasingly difficult to stay on this path, maybe some sisters are able to relate & help me or some brothers are able to tell me this will be okay.

Qur'an & Hadith Mahdawi Hadith #166 | Women of the Reappearance |

[English Translation]

On the birth anniversary of the heroine of Karbala, Lady Zaynab (as), we recall the great and active role that believing women will play in the state of Imam Al-Mahdi (may Allah hasten his reappearance).

From Al-Mufaddal bin Umar, who said: I heard Abu Abdillah (Imam Al-Sadiq) (as) say:

"There will be thirteen women with Al-Qa'im... they will treat the wounded and tend to the sick, just as there were with the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his family)."

Questions for someone planning to covert.

I have a genuine question for Sunnis and Shias, If someone was Christian and wanted to convert why would they convert to Sunni Islam? I’ve done research about both because I wana be 100% certain, If i were to just look at the total number of people in Sunni Islam in comparison to Shia It Would be smart to just stay Christian but I don’t want to follow the majority I want to follow the truth. When looking into Shia Islam it seems like the correct form of Islam, I think there are a couple reasons one of them being the focus on family in islam, why would Ali not be the next leader after prophet Muhammad? I also see some issues with Shia Islam but I feel like the proof points towards Shia Islam. I want real evidence not some Shia man talking about how evil Sunnis are and not some Sunni talking about how evil Shia’s are, I am not biased I just want to know the truth before conversion. thank you!

Video Sayyid Ali Abu Al-Hassan on the Shia Stance Regarding the Companions (Sahaba)

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

In this translated clip, Sayyid Ali Abu Al-Hassan explains the foundational Shia methodology regarding the Companions (Sahaba) of the Prophet (PBUH):

Scholarly Reference (Sayyid Muhsin al-Amin): The ruling on the Companions regarding moral uprightness ('adalah) is the same as anyone else. Merely meeting the Prophet (PBUH) as a believer and dying upon Islam is not sufficient on its own to establish moral uprightness or infallibility.

Honor & Acceptance of Narrations: Whoever is known to be upright is judged as such, their narrations are accepted, and they are accorded the honor and reverence they deserve for the nobility of companionship, supporting Islam, and striving in Allah's cause. Whoever is known to be otherwise does not have their narrations accepted.

Quranic Categorization (Surah At-Tawbah 9:100–102): Rather than applying a blanket endorsement to every individual who met the Prophet (PBUH), the society of that era is evaluated through the categorization established in the Quran, which praises the righteous forerunners among the Muhajireen and Ansar (9:100), while also pointing out the hypocrites (9:101) and those who mixed righteous deeds with bad ones (9:102).

Question / Help Hijama during period - Sistani ruling?

Salam everyone! I wanted to ask, according to Ayatollah Sayyid Ali al-Sistani, is it halal for a woman to undergo wet Hijama (cupping involving bloodletting) while she is on her period, provided her bleeding is not heavy? I would appreciate it if anyone could share a reliable ruling or a source from his official office. Jazakum Allah khair 🤍

What do you do when fear takes over, and nothing feels safe?

In al-Sahifa al-Sajjadiyya, Imam Zayn al-Abidin (p) states, “Will You burn, in the heat of Your fires, a heart which has been woven in love for You?”

Fear brought before God can become a way back to His mercy.

Question / Help Quran Analysis

Salam Alakum everyone, I hope you’re doing well.
I’ve been getting serious about truly understanding the meaning behind the Quran. More specifically, breaking it down ayah by ayah. I have found some helpful videos on YouTube but I’m aware that Sunni interpretation of the Quran differs from Shia in some aspects.

If any of you know any websites, books, or videos that can help in this journey I would greatly appreciate it. I need something in English and Arabic as my Arabic reading skills aren’t very strong.

Jazakum Allah Khair
