Got a quote to do a root canal for a molar with a crown. I shopped around and most are similar prices or wont give you a price on the phone even though you are asking for specific procedures. And the worst part a lot of the root canal specialist don’t accept dental insurance.

I pay $890 a month for medical insurance in NYC as a single guy and it doesn’t include dental or vision anyways.

I also do need lasik(3k per eye) to help improve my double vision but that is considered cosmetic and is not covered by insurance at all. So now I need to choose either to prioritize saving my tooth or help improve my vision as it causes intense headaches when reading.

I just needed to show how ridiculous our country healthcare is and I want more people to wake up and ask where is all our tax dollars going when we can’t afford to fix something basic like our teeth and vision.

Btw dental and vision in America is not considered healthcare hence why you need separate insurance for them.

Needed to get this off my mind cause I been so angry lately with whats going on in our country.
