I guess the best way to explain what I'm feeling is when you're playing a game so well that you get called a hacker Imao.

Literally every line on my videos were drawn by me. I'm even making community posts to show the "behind the scenes" progression.

Is it realistic to reach 4,000 watch hours posting once a week? (Before it changes to 8,000)

Hey everyone! I’m trying to grow my vlog channel and would love to hear your experiences and opinions.

My goal is to reach the 4,000 qualified watch hours before the requirements increase to 8,000 in February 2027. Do you think it’s realistic to achieve this by posting one video per week?

I’m not a full-time YouTuber. I have a job and I’m also in college, so I can’t dedicate all my free time to creating content. I’m trying to find a posting schedule that’s sustainable for me.

I also have a lot of footage from a previous trip to Japan, so my plan is to re-edit some of that content into new videos with more engaging editing, better titles, and thumbnails to attract new viewers. I’m hoping this will help me reach people who haven’t discovered my channel yet.

I’d really appreciate any advice or personal experiences. I know growth takes time, but I’d like to make the most of the time I have available without burning myself out.

Thanks!

I wish I made more money

Not sure how to write this post. I'm a gaming creator with around 60k subs, averaging around 15.5k views per video. Right now I make a few hundred a month via adsense and a few hundred from Patreon.

With these subscriber numbers and view counts, is this a realistic place to pursue sponsors? I always see people saying you should average maybe 30k-50k per vid before you start really seeking sponsors. I've been doing this full time for a few years but the juice just ain't looking like it's quite worth the squeeze anymore, and if I really need to hit the eject button and go back to the job world then I accept that. But I'm wondering if I can still diversify and get my money up from this before I decide if it's time to call it quits for real.

My content has largely focused on topical gaming discussion for the last year or so, before that I focused more on evergreen formats. I'm planning to lean back into Long-form evergreen stuff moving forward.

Need some feedbacks!

After 2 months of producing 8 videos, Chapter 1 of my own series has concluded. But I feel like I'm not progressing enough. I'm not gonna lie, making videos from scratch is NO JOKE. At first I thought, should I upload this? Is this good enough? Will people actually care? Does Albion Online deserve a slow-paced, narrative series when the majority of the audience prefers fast-paced action? But all of it was worth it since the hard work that I put in these videos are paying off. Looking back now, all of those doubts were wrong.

I'm almost 500 subscribers and I really want to know what else can I improve. Thank you sooo much!

Finally Broke the 50+ CPM

My average CPM has always hovered around $18 to $25. On a good day it might climb to $35, but I finally broke past the $50 mark on one of my videos and the revenue difference is insane lol.

Any input is good input, thanks a lot!

Help Me Surprise My Friend!

There's no sob story or anything. I just genuinely want to give my friend the most amazing birthday surprise I can give them.

So in November 24th, 2024, they created their first ever youtube channel. I want to surprise them for their birthday by helping them get to 3,000 subscribers on youtube.

If you're not interested , that's completely fine, I understand. I rarely use Reddit, but this is something I genuinely want to help them achieve. Then I'll show them the receipts aka this post!

They have a vtuber channel. They like to play indie games, horror games, itchi io, and steam.

I know this is a long shot and probably weird to ask on reddit, cause there's a lot of rage baiters online. But my friend's trying to bring back those old 2015 youtuber vibes.

Even if it's only 15 people that's still enough for me, cause I just genuinely want them to be proud of their work because starting a channel is hard from what I've seen.

Is this normal? Video started doing good, about 200 views/hour, I change one word in the title, and impressions drop to 0

This was on the first video of a brand new channel, I have uploaded a couple of videos after this one, and they both are stuck at 0 views and impressions., it has been almost a week like this, is there anything that can be done about it?

It's weird, cause after I changed the title the views went to 0 immediatly.

What can I do to keep growing

Hit a few good shorts, getting subs, increasing production, increased my avd, increased my engage ment past 70...

still feel like im not moving or missing momentum

https://youtube.com/shorts/BJzCl9JQTrs

I started doing news, then went to voice lines, then sketches, and now Vo/voicelines/sketches/some blender.

500~ subs, getting 50-100 a day
