What amount to follow?

Hi, 3rd time ko palang mag GSM.

First 2, di ako ang nag book. Kasama lang ako ng nag book. Basically, 1st time ko to to use the app.

Sa app, ₱106.20 lang ang naka indicate na amount pero sa meter ₱197.50, so I paid ₱200.

Why po hindi match? Is this normal?

Thank you.

sharing this wholesome encounter with an angkas rider

definitely my fault for double booking and not canceling earlier - late ko na rin napansin na dalawa pala yung nag-accept from different apps. so i told the angkas rider to complete the booking na lang para hindi sayang yung pagpunta nya sa location ko.

instead of asking me to cancel, he canceled the ride himself after i offered that. i still sent a little something to his gcash para sa abala.

wala lang. i've had my fair share of experience when it comes to riders na nagpapacancel kasi nasiraan ng gulong, gutom na, uuwi na, etc. this was just refreshing to see. <3

Just a rant. Hopefully nakikita ng LTO or LTFRB tong mga to lalo na around galleria. Not only is this unhygienic, for safety din na hindi dapat ganto. Last time I checked 62+2 lng maximum capacity ng ganyang gliner bus but when I counted nung nasa loob pa ako 90+ pinagkasya nila.

I rerecalculate daw nya yung fare? Huh? As if naman pwede mong gawin yun?

Angkas Experience

This is the first time I’ve encountered something like this. I was at the mall yesterday and decided to book an Angkas to go home, I booked and immediately thought I need to go to Waltermart so I cancelled and rebooked after changing the destination— to which a rider immediately accepted. The ride was okay, he was talking to me but I barely understood a thing cause the helmet squishes my ears. Anyway, I got off at Waltermart and removed the helmet, said my thanks to which Kuya Rider answered ‘ingat ka ha’ I said thanks again and said ‘kayo din po’, it’s not an unusual occurrence for me as I often say ‘ingat po’ to riders/ drivers. But when I got inside Watson’s (there’s one beside Waltermart), I received this text from the rider and was immediately alarmed/ weirded out. Now maybe he meant well, but at that moment I did not feel safe to walk out of Watson’s cause I’m alone and it’s already around 7:30PM. I’m not even sure if I should feel what I felt but I had to ask a family if I can walk out with them and pretend they’re my family cause I was really scared and I didn’t know if the rider is still waiting for me outside or what. Anyway, I guess what I really want to ask is, was I wrong if I felt unsafe kahit na the ride itself was okay naman and is it right to report this to Angkas? 🥲

OA lang ba ako? ("Creepy" Commute Incident)

Hi, F26. Using tourism PH as a flair kasi it involves commute??? I really don't know.

First time ko lang mag popost dito sa subreddit na to mainly because I don't have anyone else to talk to about it (when I opened it to a friend, I was shut down immediately). Maybe I'm just looking for external validation or if di naman pala big deal ok lang rin at least I was able to share the whole thing that happened.

So it was a normal Tuesday for me. Commute ko is MRT from Boni to Edsa (Taft Ave). I got at Boni station around 4:30 PM. I rode sa general area and a guy (let's call him "Kuya") was in front of me who offered to let me in the train first. When we got inside the train - standing kaming mga bagong pasok tapos kami ni Kuya e magkatalikuran. Everything was okay and a few stations in, magkatabi na kami ni Kuya. I thought nothing of it, until makarating sa Edsa (last station).

All MRT commuters know na pag nakaupo na and nasa last station ka bababa, it's kinda an unspoken rule minsan we wait for the train to clear out bago bumaba - and that's what I did. It's when I noticed Kuya not entirely moving and still comfortably sitting beside me. At this point, 5 nalang kami sa train. I got creeped out kasi parang saktong sakto after ko ayusin bag ko saka sya tumayo. Kaya dahil dun, I walked slowly behind him. I put distance between us bago makarating sa escalator. May dalawang tao sa pagitan namin. I saw Kuya look behind him tapos napa double look sya nung napansin nya yung tao sa likod nya. Na-creepyhan ako nung parang naging alert sya tapos he started looking around behind him tapos nung nag tama na paningin namin - he held eye contact with me hanggang makarating sa taas ng escalator.

Habang papunta sa turnstiles, ang bagal nya parin maglakad so ako since may beep card ako dun nalang ako sa other side nag tap. Pero ewan ko, for some reason nagkasabay parin kami. Now, for people who get off at MRT Edsa Taft you know na pag labas mo sa station, there are 3 ways. Left - papunta sa mga bus station, Straight - papunta LRT 2, Right - pa metropoint. Ang way ko ay pa-left. Kami ni kuya pabagalan parin kami maglakad (like people behind us are getting annoyed). I think he "gave up" and looked at me for the last time and let out a LOUD "TSK" then went to the right (pa-Metropoint).

So ayun, I don't know what I was actually looking for here sa pag-post. Feeling ko naman ay I was just overreacting and overthinking. If that was the case, okay lang at least ma-assure ako na wala lang yun. It just felt good to actually get it off my chest first.

Thank you!

Transpo Modernization Study made by World Bank for Iloilo

Sharing a study na nakita ko made by world bank about modernizing Iloilo's transpo system. Una its backed up ng technical analysis. First they made the necessary mappings, next they listed the cons of the current system to the point na napansin din nila na madalas mag cutting trip mga jeeps.

Plus why "libreng sakay" costs more in the long run.

Hopefully they do a similar study made for Metro Manila and this gets implemeted sa Iloilo. Sadly nakikita ko na sa soc med the usual jeepney groups are trying to block the proposed modernization.

Title: How to Get from Five Star Cubao to Yellow Gate, Araneta Coliseum? (Walking/Train Routes)

Good day po! First-time concertgoer here. 🥹

May I ask how to get to the Yellow Gate of Araneta Coliseum from Five Star Cubao?

I'm planning to walk, but I'd also like to know if there are alternative routes, especially via train.

If possible, could you please share:

- Walking route: Step-by-step directions and landmarks to follow.

- Train route: Which train station should I go to, which train should I ride, and at which station should I get off?

- Exit and directions: Which station exit should I take, and how do I get from there to the Yellow Gate?

- Estimated travel time: How long would each route take?

First time ko po kasi manood ng concert, and hindi pa po ako familiar sa Cubao area. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much po! 💗

Would I be wrong for reporting a joyride driver who screamed at me?

• Upvotes

Hi! I'm conflicted about whether I should report a joyride driver, and I'd appreciate some outside opinions.

When I booked the ride, I was inside a mall and didn't have any signal, so I wasn't receiving the driver's calls. I eventually went outside to find him, but when I did, he started screaming at me, saying things along the lines of, "Tawag ako nang tawag sa iyo, di ka pa rin sumasagot."

I understand that he was probably frustrated because he couldn't contact me and may have been waiting for a while.

However, I wasn't deliberately ignoring his calls; I genuinely couldn't receive them because I had no signal. Being screamed at made me feel terrible throughout the entire ride, especially since I was relying on him to get home safely.

After he dropped me off, he texted me, "Sorry po, ma'am," and sent me a friend request on Facebook. I haven't responded to either.

Now I'm conflicted about reporting him. On one hand, I feel that his behavior was unacceptable, and I don't think passengers should have to put up with being screamed at. On the other hand, I know that he probably depends on this job for his livelihood, and I'm worried that reporting him could affect his employment.

I also recognize that he apologized afterward, and I'm unsure how much that should factor into my decision.

Would it be reasonable to report him, or would I be going too far considering that he apologized? I'd appreciate honest opinions from both sides.

They should remember na bawat tao may space and that should be respected by simply lowering their voice.

Pwede naman makipagkwentuhan na kayo kayo lang e, di na parang iparinig niyo sa buong mundo ang mga pinag-uusapan niyo as if ganun siya kaimportante.

Have some respect sa space ng commuters guys.
