Tonight my wife and I went to an Oilers game in Tulsa and were both wearing our Lebowski sweaters. Back in the hotel we stopped to get some water and snacks to take to the room. The young man at the counter recognized the sweaters and mentioned the movie. I said, "I dig your style too, man." He laughed and said, "I belong to the religion," then comped our food!

Great crowd and I finally got to see my favorite movie on the big screen.

Man, just decided to show my young urban achiever Spinal Tap today and realized I have been thinking the limo driver in Lebowski was the same guy from Spinal Tap. I’ve been so uptight about this.

They call Los Angeles the City of Angels. I didn't find it to be that exactly, but I'll allow as there are some nice record shops there

Jackie Treehorn's iconic Malibu bachelor pad is actually the Sheats-Goldstein Residence, a famous modernist house in Beverly Hills designed by architect John Lautner.

Designed and built between 1961 and 1963, Lautner used the sandstone ledge upon which the house was built as design inspiration for a cave-like dwelling, and used the hillside site to take advantage of the dramatic views of Benedict Canyon and Beverly Hills.

Say what you want about the tenets of mid-century modern design and American organic architecture: at least it’s an ethos.

This has always struck me as a bit odd. This lady Pilar, who’s just let two strangers into the house, they didn’t shoot or include any reaction from her at Walter’s outburst at Larry or him smashing the car which wakes up the whole neighbourhood.
