Lol first I've heard of rivalry about sourness. Yes, warheads are pretty dang sour... but as I understand it, getting sourer means really risking damage to your teeth.

Pfft. Look at that guy drinking out of a Verti. I bet he still drinks beginnerâs waters like Aquafina.

How can he practice his drinking acoustics with the straw in his mouth?

That looks great except injecting drinking water will make your cells explode (either that or implode and oversalted water does the opposite)

This just makes me think thereâs a perfect balance of water that wonât make them explode or implode, and that this will likely grant immortality

I worked part time at a restaurant and I saw guy chugged three fucking glasses of water just during the first minute he was there. By the end he ended up asking for around 7 refill and Iâve never seen a dude be so hungry for water.Â

I have only progressed in Silksong this far because I bribed the fleas to chase Moorwing away, and then found that speedrunners found a way to get around Sister Splinter. That wasn't so hard. I would much rather do some tough and somewhat frustrating platforming than the alternative. I've plumbed the depths of Sinner's Road and fought my way out of the Slab, but GOSH DARN IT, do I dislike boss battles. I am currently sitting on a random zerg rush in Hunter's March, because I have momentarily given up on the Widow.

I tried to do the sister splinter skip for fun. It took me forever to get it. I cannot imagine a world where just fighting the boss isnât easier/faster lmao.

I love how much hyper-specific rage is conveyed in this image lmao. Bro's crashing out at the Nintendo Wii screen that tells you to take breaks every so often.
45
u/ReaperUX86 16d ago
It love how differently this could be interpreted depending on your background as a gamer / where you see this. I'm a massive souls & soulslike gamer (addicted to them) and saw this one in a souls community.
The "take a break" thing is a real advice I gave some people in the community because it can truly make a difference. You can get too angry at losing to a frustrating boss over and over again that you do worse and worse. Taking a break helps you cool down and helps your brain reset.
24
u/lycanreborn123 16d ago
This is also a thing in competitive games, it's called tilting. You'll sometimes see people complain about how they tilted from Diamond rank down to Gold or something. Getting mad at a game is just gonna make you play worse 99% of the time.

When someone is upset they rarely respond well to people telling them to chill, even if taking a break from a difficult game that is beginning to upset you is a great way reflect and perform better once you have a level head.

42

Which kinda illustrates how off-the-rails the creator of that wojak was, like they were told to take a break and calm down and they took it as some kind of personal attack.

Ok, so I know literally everyone is having trouble getting a job, but Iâve got a story with some bullshit.
I work in healthcare. Specifically respiratory therapy, and during the beginning of Covid19 I had left my full time job to take on another job that unfortunately had fallen through.
So long story short I was applying around and was trying to get a position working alongside patients with covid19 at a local community hospital via a 3rd party company. Which if you donât know, is super common in this field, think of it like a temp agency. Hospitals hire outside companies to fill the gaps in their staffing ratios.
So they get me on board and start doing all the hiring process crap. I turn in my information, my license, I do background checks. They have me go do drug tests, pee in a cup. I am getting a paycheck to do training modules on my computer at home so I can be ready to go once I get my start date.
So finally we get everything checked off the to do list, and I have another phone conversation with this 3rd party company Iâve been working with for weeks now. âOk great, now we just need to wait for this stay at home order to end so we can get you in the hospital for trainingâ.
âŠ..
Never figured out why the hell they hired me in first place. I ended up working several other jobs instead during lockdown because obviously my job was an âessentialâ role. Truly baffling what goes on in the mind of some of these peopleâs minds

u/ItsYukah 16d ago

I remember when me and my sister were boogie boarding with my dad and a good friend of his. They did the responsible thing and tried to send us to shore asap before we got stung, even they had to bite the bullet in the process. Their efforts succeeded with me, but unfortunately my sister wasnât so lucky. I can still see her on that wave, screaming in pain all the way to shore.

That first one is spot on though, Casinos will literally throw you out for cheating if you actually use your head and try to win at BlackJack instead of pretending the deck has an infinite number of every card at all times.
60
u/Hatsune_Miku_CM 16d ago edited 16d ago
They won't throw you out for cheating, they'll simply say "sir, we don't want you as a customer, please leave". they don't call it cheating they simply call it house rights.
37
u/Tylendal 16d ago
Yeah. Casinos aren't some Fae bargain where you can win riches by solving their puzzle. They're a business, allegedly there for people's entertainment, and have no obligation to let you keep playing.
→ More replies (3)27
u/Jarvis_The_Dense 16d ago
I mean I wasn't saying they would literally grab you by the shoulders and toss you out the door.
I'm saying they'll force you to leave for actually being good at the game they offer and claiming the award they promised you would receive for winning. Why offer a game if an essential rule is that players have to actively pretend they don't have access to information which is readily available? That's the multi-million dollar establishment asking the customer to go easy on them at a game they chose to host.

u/Beneficial-Act-9933 16d ago
Counting cards is not illegal and very much allowed so long as you're not using a machine or outside assistance to do it. There will be a threshold where they will say "You're winning too much". But all they do is ban you from playing black jack, you're free to play any other games.

What about the dragon who rules a kingdom and doesn't want his subjects to feel intimidated while speaking with him so he makes a human child simulacrum, but sometimes he also wants to do combat as a human when said combat is in spaces to small for his large dragon body so he also creates an adult human simulacrum (oh no, he's hot!) so he can go join the fight to save his sister from the king of the void?

That second image perfectly describes some guy I knew in high school. He would not SHUT UP about his girlfriend EVER. Most of his talk was also sexual talk. At a certain point, you begin to question if the guy even has a girlfriend, or if he pretends he does and makes that his whole personality. The guy also told me I had a flat ass when I got up from my seat one time for some reason. The dude had some serious issues lmao

36
u/Motor-Rip7655 16d ago
Dealers and pit bosses at YOUR casino don't care. I've heard plenty of reports (most from reputable sources like newspapers) of people being kicked out for counting cards (in their head).
Friendly reminder that counting cards is 100% legal as long as you don't use a machine to help you.

fun fact: card counting isn't against the rules if you use only your brain and not some external device but it makes you win more than it's worth it for them, so they will still kick you out and escort you to your car so you don't get robbed as soon as you exit
