electrifying energy ⚡️ Soap Anger Management

u/LoganN64 Aug 15 '26
My work has a similar setup like this and the sensors often trigger the wrong feature... so instead of rinsing off the soap you get more soap, or your wet hands accidentally trigger the dryer and it blows soapy water EVERYWHERE. I hate those faucets.

No reason to punch the glass though.
This fucking guy would punch his wife if she asked him to repeat something he said a 2nd time.

When basic stuff like washing your hands becomes hard, people can get annoyed, very EASILY..n guy most likely didn't expect whatever he pumchd to break.Notice how he turns and looks at the cam right when it breaks?
5
u/naikrovek Aug 16 '26
He didn’t look right when he broke it. He looked after he broke it and after he thought “hope there’s no cameras” and then he looked for cameras and found one. The breaking was intended and very normal for him.
No one who is reasonable punches a mirror because a faucet fails to turn on.

u/Terrible_Cycle7241 Aug 17 '26
Just because youre annoyed doesn't mean you have to punch. Most people learn this as toddlers.

Reminds me of a joke from my old boss that involved intentionally switching the solenoid coil plugs for the water supply so the wrong trigger turned on the wrong faucet.
The data collected was used to determine who tried to wash their hands and who didn't... Those without a confused look on their face as they existed the bathroom were tallied under "Does Not Wash"

It shouldn’t be this hard to find the soap in a public bathroom.

That was my first thought, why tf is there a camera in the bathroom?
6
u/Blbe-Check-42069 Aug 16 '26
Because it's legal as long as it's not aimed at the toilet itself. https://portal.gov.cz/rozcestniky/porizeni-a-provoz-bezpecnostni-kamery-RZC-95

u/Houdinii1984 Aug 16 '26 edited Aug 16 '26
That's not a very good reason. I don't know anyone who thinks the government is doing a good job of safeguarding privacy. Finding a camera in a bathroom for any reason, when you're expecting privacy, is wrong. Regardless what the govt. has to say about it. You need 24/7 surveillance, put one of those people shining shoes and selling candy in there. Cameras should not be found in bathrooms. There should never be a video of someone visiting the facilities.
The scene I'd make if I found out. We normalize this, then we're normalizing flock pointing directly into our windows when our answer should be a resounding "NO".
EDIT: Cz has a similar setup to Flock, but govt owned. I shouldn't just use that as a universal name. It's just quickly being used like that here in the states.
Seeing a camera goes so far against what a lot of us believe here that it's just wild to see live.

It was an avionics company's hold music when I worked in aviation warranty. Holds averaged ~30-45 minutes. I hated working on their claims and 99% of why was having to hear this for hours of my life lol

u/kyngslinn Aug 15 '26
I was once forced to listen to this for 20 minutes straight and couldn't do anything because they were supposed to answer at any second.
Suffice to say, after recalling this incident, I chortle no longer.

I hear it a lot on hold with pharmacies, healthcare providers and health insurance companies. It sounds like frustration and despair.
3
u/FlowerComfortable889 Aug 15 '26
I used to support contact centers and after our fourth Cisco upgrade, it was brought up that our customer service department wanted to find out how much a different set of hold music would cost. It was shockingly expensive and didn't seem to matter if it was just different instrumentals, a live feed, whatever. The project costs and ongoing licensing fees were almost a third as much as the entire phone system
2
u/-poupou- Aug 16 '26
This awful composition must be the absolute cheapest available. It's probably unlicensed?
Or, hear me out, they make it painful on purpose so that callers are more likely to hang up.

I have to admit I've been pretty pissed off at some "auto" soap dispensers in my day, I had to try 3 different ones at the movie theater last week. had to switch faucets after that with absolutely shitty pressure... then the fkn blower was so sensitive it kept turning off, said fk it and semi soapy hands on pants.
Employees, please keep batteries up-to-date and fill the fkn dispensers

u/SpakenBacon Aug 15 '26
Why is there a camera in the bathroom??
147
u/indieplants Aug 15 '26
lol, again, in many countries this isn't illegal so long as they aren't facing the stalls as there's no reasonable expectation of privacy at a shared toilet room sink. it's used as a deterrent for ongoing issues with drug dealing/taking and vandalism
this is apparently from Prague, originally posted by the police force there though has since been removed

I fkn hate overcomplicated system, why does everything have to be so fucking hard, I want things to be intuitive, is that so fucking hard to do? my parents have a heater and I couldn't figure out how to make that shit work, weird ass buttons that have zero sense. It's literally just a heater not a car, why would I need to take a class just to fucking turn it on and heat the place. Also, it's infuriating the way I can never find the ON button on new computers. Why does it have to be so hidden?????? why the fuck do people think this is acceptable? it's sooo annoying spending minutes touching every single spot of the computer because it's made to be inexistent, and even if you find it, you will lose it again because a lentil is bigger that that shit. WHY DID BUTTONS DISAPPEAR, AND WHO IS RESPONSABLE

I hate these kinds of dispensers. I've been stuck several times with a hand full of soap and no water coming out to wash it off.
4
u/Ulfvaldr989 Aug 15 '26
I dont get why the soap thing cant be manual operated. Youre literally washing your hands immediately after using it so how is it really helping anyone by having them be touch free?

This garbage design has been popping up in a lot of places the past two years. Whoever thought it was a good idea in the first place?
6
u/Busy-Doughnut6180 Aug 15 '26
He had 4 chances at getting soap and instead smashed a mirror after trying only one, rinsed his hands then left. All of that and he didn't even bother checking all the other dispensers 😭
3
u/rasmuseriksen Aug 15 '26
I have so many questions. Did the soap actually come out after he smashed the window in front? Why is there a camera? Why does the video have that classic dumb hold music in the background?
3
u/PitcherMonster Aug 15 '26

It's all a ploy by 'big business' to make you use less soap.

u/iamabigtree Aug 15 '26
I don't blame him tbh. Those sorts of setups are utterly infuriating. Just have a tap and soap dispenser. It works.

A mirror should be lightly punchable. This is a design issue and I don't think it's this guys fault. You can punch most mirrors and they are fine. This bathroom wasn't designed sturdily enough.

False. We don't allow cameras in bathroom stalls/over urinals. Cameras in the shared sink area are generally legal.

Probably not the first time something happened to those mirrors that or drugs, so long as it's not able to be moved and only views the sinks it feels less invasive

There is a very high indirect correlation between the fanciness of a soap dispenser and your likelihood of getting soap. We are traveling backwards at a very high rate of speed.
