full disclosure, I am not really knowledgable about all things 80s WH40 Rogue Trader, and in case this post violates any of the forum rules, please do not hesitate to delete immediatley! Not that you need my permission, but I just want to make sure I don't come across as an ignorant dufus ...

I would like to ask for your help: I would like to start a mini hobby project and assemble two or three little forces for me and my buddies to play a few games of WH40k with old rules of the very early editions. Painting is much more my thing, and truth be told, I would LOVE to paint some old school miniatures which were inspired by the older GW Space Marines, Orcs and maybe Chaos models. Mind you, no re-casts or straight up pirated models.

But I am unable to find any decent shops (or individuals) who offer oldhammer-inspired models, and that is most definitely a shortcoming on my end. I am just not that deep into the subculture of old school miniatures and the different routes one could take to start a hobby project like the one I'm planning. I just don't know where to look ... and which pitfalls to avoid.

Can someone give a helping hand and guide me in the right direction? I appreciate all tips and pieces of advice, and again, I hope that my post did not violate any forum rules.

Hello all. I'm currently on a big oldhammer/middlehammer kick and ice recently become obsessed with two boxed campaigns that were sold, McDeath and Terror of the Lichemaster. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that I read somewhere that many of the NPC/character sculpts for these campaigns are available through other miniature sellers? If anyone is knowledgeable about this topic please fill me in. If this is not the appropriate subreddit I apologize but, if that's the case, please direct me to a more appropriate sub. Hi, I'm making a warhammer fantasy 2 ed Nippon army and I would like to find more minis, I already know foundry have some OG minis, and Dixon minis have solid ronin minis, But I need more ! Thx you all

Forgive the extreme newbie question for those who have deeper experience with RT, but after reading the core rulebook I'm left with a question. Did RT start with no fixed unit lists or the like?

I read the book through and I'm really excited to actually try RT at the table. I don't play 40k, but I've watched a bunch of YouTube videos about how wild and weird RT was before 40k got codified, and I'm fascinated. So after reading the rulebook, I'm left wondering if every model is statted from the points tables, as opposed to being picked from an army list. I know the codices came later in RT, but I just want to make sure I didn't miss something in this first book.

Did OG players build each model's loadout to their liking rather than selecting (for example, "space marine with bolter") from an army building list? Or did I overlook a section that has "templates" of a sort?

I have been going through some boxes in the loft and came across these. I seem to be missing two and the poly is in poor condition as you can see from the photos. I just wondered if they are worth putting up for sale and if so where would be best and what sort of price should I be looking for? I have stripped the ones that I had painted (badly) and do have another shield currently in dettol.

Citadel ADD04 Thief from when GW briefly held the license to produce AD&D miniatures for TSR. These were meant to represent the same player character as he grows in experience, with the order going from left to right (low, medium and high levels).

They are likely to be eaten.

Just going through a box of old minis, and came across this strange little scrungle. Any idea who they are, or where they come from?
