TL;DR: Graphics card is on its last legs maybe and needs an upgrade (plus any other upgrade recommendations would be welcome please!) :) Thanks!
Hello! I've noticed my GPU fans are basically whining to where my PC cannot run games easily without a Boeing 747 jet engine revving up every time I play a game cycling every minute or so. I thought it was my CPU at first, which I replaced the thermal paste (helped my PC but not the issue I've been having) thinking it might help. Now I know from looking on the inside while its on that the GPU fans are going wild every time my computer attempts a lift-off and I did a Furmark test and saw that the temps were going insane.
Essentially, I'm thinking of either deep-cleaning and replacing my GPU thermal paste/pads or just biting the bullet and buying a new GPU altogether. What would y'all recommend me upgrade to and in addition please let me know if there is anything y'all would recommend to upgrade in general! I know its an aging computer but other than the graphics card issues I have no problems with it for the most part. I would prefer to keep the cost low for replacements if its possible given this PC parts economy!
P.S.: Also, for years now my computer for some reason has caused some applications home screens to be bright neon purple and green, etc. colors. Usually I remove the hardware acceleration setting and that fixes it but not always though!
