Thanks to you all, I learned a lot about the do's and Dont's when it comes to building a PC. I posted a while ago how I became extremely frustrated as a long time playstation owner and now I feel much better about my future experiences with gaming.

I've been using my PC for about 2 months, no issues.

Here is the build:

Edit: the ram and cpu I was able to get for free from work sources

I might upgrade the cpu to the newer Intel chips for this lga1700 socket when it releases early next year, so I sorta lucked out there. I use this right now for 1440p gaming.

Why I say AnyPS5 will overtake Emulators - Since AnyPS5 actually translates the real Code of the PS5 its gonna be more Accurate and hopefully more stable down the line as it is improved. The set up is easier to IMO. The Emulators need a lot of workarounds that Hopefully AnyPS5 wont need because its basically like Proton translating calls and commands.

I could be wrong but I think it will as the Program Improves. Either way, I'll be testing it all.

I was so hesitant at first but I made the switch from ps5 to a 9800x3d and 5080. At first I felt overwhelmed with how much pc has to offer. I already built PCs before but never owned one myself. 7 months later and I’ll never go back to console. The freedom pc gives you is unbeatable. The biggest shock factor for me was path tracing and it still is. It’s absolutely gorgeous. Glad to say I’m here to stay on pc. I don’t use it for anything other than gaming but it’s nice to have if I ever need it for work

I have been busy adding FULLY functional co op to the CLASSICS of our childhood. I've made a co-op-anything repo, in the style of the REA one that is for making ANY game co-op.

So far I have completed: Deus Ex (fully support online co-op), Dungeon Keeper, Stalker SOC. Currently wip is: Ocarina of Time (very close to 100% synced) and Fallout NV (is WIP - goodsprings quests are fully tested and working so far and the rest is done but needs QA tested)

There are two paths essentially:

1. Finish what exists. It first researches and will help map out any half-done mods, then dig up their bug reports by scraping discord and forums etc, fixes them, and has automated tests for it with bots and scripts running real game clients to automate much of the QA testing.
2. Build it from zero. Most games run on a handful of engines (Unreal, Unity, Source, id Tech, Bethesda's Creation Engine) that modders have already mapped out. It can re use information known about that engine, and reverse engineer the rest using tools like REA and Ghidra, then it builds co-op the way mods like Skyrim Together and sm64coopdx did.

I turned it off, came back to it after 5 minutes, and then everything worked fine. Does anyone know what that might've been? Could've just been a blind act of patriotism, but I just wanted to run it through this subreddit to double check.

After nearly 10 strong years, today I lay my baby back to her case.... My GTX 1070 Ti took on new games with open arms, and though i may have needed to lower settings, she always kept me playing. Today marks a sad but joyous day as we lay her to rest and acknowledge the sheer greatness of her journey. Thank you for the near decade of continuous grinding. May you rest in peace

My feed is full of Forza games getting ported to windows and Mac, people playing gamepass on a PS5, ports here emulators there - like where is this boom suddenly coming from?
