Genuinely, I have not found a SINGLE decent alternative that is reliable, easy to use, or free, and it's kinda pissing me off because it's hard enough as it is to keep track of everything going on in my brain without having to use six different websites that aren't even usable on the same devices sometimes?? Literally what the hell am I supposed to do lmao

I've been using Ourcana but trying to do literally anything on that app atm feels like trying to read Latin and a bunch of things seem like they're behind paywalls, stuff keeps getting deleted AND multiple other people have recently told me that all of their data was deleted??

And Pluralkit is my only alternative atm so it's what I've been using but that feels sort of like duct taping stuff together instead of just... actually having an app to use? I'm just hoping maybe there's another app I haven't found out about yet but I'm highkey losing hope reallllly fast

tw: vent, though i’d really appreciate some advice.

i don’t even know where to START. im so overwhelmed with the idea that this is probably happening INSIDE ME right now and i’ve never known about it. i tried asking the other vague/faint voices i hear in my head what they thought about this. they said i’ve never let them front because im scared. and heck yeah, im scared???? i don’t want to be in this situation! i don’t want to share my body that i thought was mine and only mine! that was hard enough on it’s own! how am i supposed to progress like this if there are others inside me that might want to do their own thing?! im so STRESSED, and at this point i really do think i might be faking this because i KNOW i don’t have DID (maybe OSDD idk, im not a doctor) but i know it’s entirely plausible that when i was younger due to my trauma i’d create alters. but from what i hear, that isn’t the same as having a system! because systems naturally develop or something, god, i don’t KNOW. and even if we were to switch at all, i’d still be scared out of my wits. what if i have an amnesia block and can’t remember anything? what if they say something incriminating and extremely destructive and im not there to stop it? i already have so much i keep hidden (as the ‘host’(?)). my mind simply is having a lot of trouble even wrapping around the idea that while IM not fronting and im not present in the real world, something else could be happening and it’s not ME WHO IS CONTROLLING THE SITUATION. But I WANT to try and make this work, I want to hear the others out, i want to, but it’s such an overwhelming concept because all Ive ever known is ”me”.

I also think I’m monoconscious and thats an additional thing of why this is so shocking to me.

p.s. i think i phrased the “memory block” thing wrong, ive had some experiences of forgetting but i do think this is just generally REALLY BAD MEMORY but my brain thinks “oh it might be because you’re probably a system and the memory blocks might get far larger than what they have been”

me again! would you happen to have anything that you would (and by extension, wouldn’t) want to see in a fictional character that is plural? or perhaps suggest example characters that could serve as a reference? i have a book i’m working on with a plural character in mind and i don’t want to f*ck up writing them. thnx in advance

I got over it mostly by now, but my brain used to often be like "you don't have trauma so you can't be plural" even though it would accept others as plural with or without trauma. And it's ironic, both since it accepted others without trauma and since I definitely have trauma (whether or not it's "major" or enough for my brain to think of it when thinking of trauma).

Like, girl, you have trauma.

You literally were left on your phone alone for hours while /// slept and /// was at work since he was too drunk, and you never talked about it much even once she got him to go get better before coming back.

You literally forced yourself to be perfect for others (forced it onto myself even if they didn't tell me to be perfect) and people pleased to a point you let your own opinions fall away, and you had an identity crisis over it so obviously it mattered.

You literally let yourself get sexually harassed because you were such a people pleaser and you thought that it was for the best if you "friend" had fun and others laughed, and you proceeded to blame yourself for it once you realized it isn't normal and were scared they'd do something to you.

And, speaking of. I proceeded to not only not call us plural for years, but despite being like "I'm not plural" I actively began interacting with my headfriends¹ and managed to fix it up. Like, genuinely, I used to fit a concerning amount of the criteria for P-DID but never told my therapist to even ask about it and I somehow did something and it's better???

¹ I thought that kintypes were supposed to be sorta partially separate from you, but apparently they're fictives so that's sure a mix up!!

We've been having problems with Berrytree lately, It's deleted every single members profile picture, it's having problems proxying that it didn't have before. No other bot has ever done this by the way. I think I'm just going to go back to pluralkit. I don't know if this is just BPD rage or something but I am extremely upset about it failing to work when it didn't before!!!!!! Raugh.

does anybody else have newly formed fictives who had their swears censored in their source so now they're obsessed with swearing? we have two of those lol

I was alright with my medication, but when I went to a mental hospital a bit ago they took me off my antidepressant and switched me to something else. I got off it before I left and luckily I was only there for two weeks, but it was horrible because it got rid of my extra trains of thoughts (I like those) and it made it hard to hear my headfriend's :(((

But ever since that I've been slightly paranoid about what if they aren't really there how I thought they were and I'm hallucinating. I think at least somebody is there since I used to have times where I felt like it wasn't me in control of my body, but it made me scared.

And I also have been extremely emotionally unstable, they forgot (or didn't think) to represcribe my antidepressants before I left and I think it's doing something. I won't hurt myself or anything but I've been having meltdowns.

Oh, and guess what? They said they think I'm autistic because of a meltdown I had there. I'm fine with them suspecting autism but I'm clearly going through withdrawal, this is not normal behavior from me whether or not I have autism, they should've been aware of medicine/withdrawal affects as a mental hospital!!

I thought that it would get better once I got home, but since I'm off my meds still I still feel bad. And school has made it even worse, last school day I was in the office sitting there for almost 3 hours just to avoid having a meltdown.

Today I had two (new record yay...) although I surpressed it mostly I said some dumb shit, threw things, and bashed my head off a desk. And one of them lasted like an hour at LEAST and I couldn't stop so that was "fun".

I just want my medicine back, it's still another week until I have the appointment. I know that I should ask but I'm scared to ask my parents if we can try getting an emergency appointment or some, it feels like it's my own fault.

umm hi. this is a bit of a weird situation and i hope i don't come off as trying to like "fake plurality" or something. as some of you may have seen over the past months...i have been hearing basically nothing from any alter. even our co host stopped fronting which is very uncommon. very very recently i was actually able to talk to our co host again very briefly where i had learned that one of our headmates who originally was just our secret keeper (basically having memories and keeping trauma ones away from me) has now become a gatekeeper persecutor basically trapping everyone else away from front...i am not sure what to do in this situation because this has caused a complete system collapse again and i went from having 13 including me ...to 6 including me. my coworker said we could try to will an alter but i have never tried that before and idk if it would even do anything. im just wondering if anyone has any advice..and im sorry about how fake this sounds :(

im not saying this in a "ahggg im anti-endo and i want to prove that there's no scientific backing" im saying this out of genuine curiosity

After roughly 3 years of not existing this guy just randomly showed up again??? We change people pretty often but as far as im aware nobodys ever like come back?? But then this random guy appeared agajn and its very confusing is this normal? Is there like any tips?

Its just very jarring for them bc we are living at college now and everything is entirely different and they missed so much stuff happening and all of the other individuals they knew at the time went dorment or we dont talk to anymore and therrs like no food they can eat very much and idk im panicking 😭😭😭

I dont know how to help someone who hasnt existed in years, they are in a completely different enviroment please suggestions 😓

Okay, so one of my alters posted about this and I don't think they communicated it very well, so I'm going to try and do it, but they pitched the idea of us sharing a color palette. Some of us were resistant at first because some of us have individual complexes, but after some time and conversation, we agreed to it. This will make things like shopping for clothes easier and also buying furniture. We all still obviously have our own favorite colors, but for the sake of working together, we're trying this out so far. It's been going so well and some of us are actually excited about trying on these different colors. It feels refreshing like dying your hair a new color. We're all still the same just with a different paint job.

So we're the GL1TCH system and for the last 1 or 2 months, we've been blurring and it's kinda annoying to know who's fronting and all that, only like once or twice a week are we able to tell who's fronting or co fronting. We have a theory that it may be a coping mechanism since we haven't explained it to our parents yet but that's just a theory, A PLURAL THEORY! /ref. Anyways if anyone has any tips or tricks or what not on how to stop or at least dial the blurring down a tad bit.
