I’m 6’2 and my wife is 5’. We have our own driver profiles set on our model Y, with easy entry as well. For some reason, the car prefers her phone over mine if I have both in the pocket.

Yesterday, I had both phones in the pocket, got in, and immediately tried to drive away before the seat fully adjusted. To my horror, the car was trying to crush me while driving. Luckily, I noticed the wrong name on the display, and managed to hit the correct profile before anything serious happened.

It’s funny in retrospect, but I got genuinely scared in the moment. So, if you share your car with a short partner, you may wanna mind the keys.

Not that I would ever own one, but it makes me sad either way. The previous conecpt design was easily one of the best looking sports cars out there. The sharp, yet elegantly curved headlights.

Compared to a bad lambo knock-off or whatever that's supposed to be on the left. I understand it's supposed to fit into the new "cyber" lineup, but I can't help it, it's just ugly.

I got tired of pulling the USB stick to save Sentry clips, so I built Glovebox: a Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W that lives in the glovebox and acts as the car's dashcam drive.

The car records to it like a normal USB stick. When I pull into the garage, it notices my home network and copies the new Sentry events and saved clips to my NAS over Wi-Fi. A little web page shows everything, with all six cameras playing in sync.

A few things I cared about:

• Setup is flashing a card. Download the image, fill in your Wi-Fi and NAS in one file on the card, plug it in.
• It keeps the car awake until the copy finishes, over Bluetooth, with a key paired as "Charging Manager". I tested it: the car lets it wake up, and refuses unlock, remote start and the lights.
• It handles the new encrypted dashcam clips. If your car has "Encrypt Dashcam Recordings" on, it backs them up as they are and gets them ready for dashcam.tesla.com.
• Nothing goes to the cloud. Your footage goes from the car to your NAS, that's it.

Sadly, Intel models can’t handle it.

I was actually so upset when I saw what Elon did to my dream car. Not that I'll ever be able to afford it anyway. But still.

After the Halloween update here in Los Angeles now the car plays an alert and shows speed camera along with an icon showing where it is. Any of you seen the same?

I opened my tesla app at home and just realized location arrow is pointing your car. It works like a compass.

Had to be wild watching this in person.

I am at .38.3.1 on my 2023 MS with HW3. I stopped using FSD because my commute is not bad - only 15-20 miles a day. Just wondering if I need to enable monthly FSD subscription to get the FSD lite v14.3 because I want to try it.

Myself and a few buddies figured this out when we all had loaners... Genius move on tesla's part lol. I won't say that it never nags, but there's 100% a different nag setting on it.

You see, it is in fact not legal to do backflips and to fly on public roads, therefore the roadster is pointless and stupid and I am very smart.

One of my biggest complaints about Grok in Tesla is the lack of memory between sessions.
I actually enjoy using Grok, but it’s frustrating that every time I get back in my car, it’s like we’re starting from scratch. It doesn’t remember anything about me, my preferences, or our previous conversations.
I feel like having an AI assistant in your car should more useful the longer you own the vehicle.

We got a flying car before the dang AI assistant can remember my convo from yesterday or what my kid name in the back seat is etc …
