What's one small cleaning habit that made your home easier to maintain?
 in  r/CleaningTips •  1d ago

I have 2 dish drying racks that I use for dirty dishes and swap them into the dishwasher.

So all dishes go in in one go and all dishes go out in one go. Not many micro steps one dish at a time. It’s a game changer

AIO by getting upset that I got this message the second I posted a new PFP?
 in  r/AIO •  1d ago

You’re giving him too much of your time, and too much attention.

Here’s a blanket reply for situations like this, either online or in person:

“You’re entitled to your opinions as much as I’m entitled to my decisions”. After saying this you move on. You give ZERO time/attention/thought/validation. No more replies, ignore.

Are credit cards actually worth it if you're good with money?
 in  r/AusMoneyMates •  1d ago

They’re only worth if you are good with money, if you’re not, you’ll just end up in debt.

Never taught how to deep clean
 in  r/CleaningTips •  2d ago

Every appliance needs to be cleaned. Dishwasher, washing machine, vacuum, microwave, etc. depending on the appliance it’s what needs to be cleaned.

Also, move everything to clean under it. Depends on what you’re moving is how often you clean under it. Microwave, fridge, chairs, sofas, blender, etc.

Everything that makes a top surface collects dust and needs cleaning like windows, skirting boards, top of doors, frames, top of the wc, and behind of the lifted wc lid, etc.

Everything that is constantly touched needs cleaning, like door knobs and light switches.

TIP/HACK keep cleaning stuff handy everywhere, under the bathroom sink, under the kitchen sink, dusting microfibers and wipes in every room (a small plastic box in a covert will do), so when you walk in you can make a quick clean and you don’t have to be going to another room to get it, it makes it easier to keep it up 😉

Do you do meet and greets?

Fair enough.

Watching a debate on SBS: is not having kids selfish? Where do you sit?
 in  r/australia •  3d ago

- “not having children is selfish”
- “ok, so?” 🤷🏽‍♀️

As a happily married childfree adult woman, I absolutely don’t care what parents say about my decision.

My husband and I high five each other every time a parent is complaining about their children. 😂😂 at least my complaints aren’t about a human I created 😉

I work through Mable. And the video call meet and greet on the platform is easy and can be very short. Maybe just to know who’s going to show up?

But only about half of my clients have requested it. So I think you can always opt out ☺️

I do support work and if the client wants to I do a video call meet and greet. It usually goes for 15-30 minutes.

But it’s up to the client. Maybe half of them have requested it.

AIO here? Or just hyper-fixating on semantics?
 in  r/AIO •  3d ago

You’re NOR

The original difference between an expat and an immigrant was the intent.

An expat would live in a foreign country for a known limited time. Usually 2-5 years. They always knew after that time they would return to their homeland.

An immigrant would move for good to a new country and become a permanent resident or a citizen.

The original definitions are not used like that anymore. Now they make a racial, socioeconomic, cultural , and educational distinction, and the fact that your bf is adamant about making that distinction is imo a red flag.

Maybe he had never treated you like that, but if your relationship progressed, how is he going to treat your family, friends and countrymen? Will he be kind and respectful? Or will he treat them differently because they are South Asian?

Something to consider…

AITH for telling my best friend I will NOT be paying for her bachelorette trip at this time because I can't afford it?
 in  r/AITH •  4d ago

You’re NTAH

She’s not YOUR best friend.

No best friend would expect you to get into a financial pickle for her “big day”. She’s selfish.

Before she takes away your bridesmaidship, resign to it. Keep the upper hand 😉

3

AIO for wanting to cut ties with her?
 in  r/AmIOverreacting •  4d ago

NOR. Here’s a possible reply, mostly using her own words:

“You have your ways and I have mine. I absolutely didn't deserve being yelled at and I don't accept friends to treat me that way. I don’t see this friendship going anywhere, so it’s better for both of us to part ways. And about my party, I’m not longer comfortable with you attending, your invitation has been withdrawn.”

Do you like it when your others clean your house without asking?
 in  r/CleaningTips •  6d ago

For me it’s easier to clean everyone else’s house but mine 😂😂

But I’d never clean someone else’s house without permission!

All of that being said, I love it when others offer to clean my house, if they’re helping me it’s always welcomed.

1

How do you keep track of little things around the house?
 in  r/organizing •  7d ago

Grocery store app. I made lists

One is for the things I buy every week
Other for the things I only buy on discount, so I check it to see if I’m buying anything from that list
And the third one is for things I don’t buy every week but I ran out and need to buy them next time.

How many bogong moths have you trapped inside your home and released outside?
 in  r/australia •  8d ago

Zero.

We’ve only had one moth in our house and it was 💀 when we found it.

AIO to my cousin consistently asking me for money?
 in  r/AmIOverreacting •  9d ago

NOR… but here’s a solution for next time he dares ask you for money:

- hey! Can I borrow $75 until next Friday?
- sure!
- ah thanks, Zelle me pls
- oh, just take it from the $325 you owe me and on Friday you Zelle me the $250 remaining.
