I'm an independent musician and creator bringing The Jems Universe: Defining Moments Tour to a beautiful penthouse in Williamsburg on November 21, from 7–10 PM.

The Jems Universe started with my original music and is now evolving into an animated series. This intimate show will feature live performances of the original songs followed by a live table reading of our first animated script.

I'm independently funding this project and working with a very small budget, so I'm hoping to connect with some NYC creatives who would be excited to collaborate and help bring this experience to life!

WHO I'M LOOKING FOR:

🎸 Guitarist + Drummer; To accompany my original music live.

🎤 2 Female Voice Actors; To portray characters during our animated series script reading.

🎭 1 Versatile Voice Actor; Someone comfortable performing multiple characters, including male and female voices.

🔊 PA System / Sound Support; Looking to borrow, rent affordably, or collaborate with someone who has a small live performance setup suitable for a penthouse.

📸 Photographer and Videographer; To capture live performances, behind-the-scenes moments, audience interactions, and highlights from the show for future promotional content.

🤝 1–2 Event Volunteers; Help with guest check-in, setup, merchandise, and general event support.

A LITTLE ABOUT THE PROJECT:

I've been independently touring The Jems Universe throughout 2026, connecting with creative communities in Austin, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, and now New York.

My goal is to build an original entertainment universe that brings together music, animation, storytelling, and creative people.

This is a grassroots, passion-driven project. I can't promise standard industry rates, but I'm happy to discuss what I can offer, including creative credit, content from the event, networking, and opportunities for future collaboration.

I am 56 male single guy living in Brooklyn Williamsburg. I work in photography/ video for myself on events. I moved back to NYC last year having really hard time making solid friends. I have been going to meetups and Partiful events socializing exchanging numbers making attempts to connect with people from these events not going well, it seems like get sorry so busy with work and friends let’s aim for spring! I want to also try to date but not meeting anyone so stuck here and sad.

5'5"-5'6" Asian man in his 20s, skinny build with medium-length curly hair was assaulting his girlfriend on Meserole near Graham, she kept telling him to leave her alone and was pushing him away, and he kept following her. Called the police but who knows how long they will take.

And to the three white women who did nothing except walk on by while this assault was happening, go fuck yourselves.

Edit: all the problematic people on these comments is why these men go free, half of them are probably abusive men themselves.

Who are your favorite jeweler in the neighborhood that would be good for repair. I had a charm on a necklace, the chain was pretty crappy and it’s broken. I’m looking for a jeweler who could probably just sodder a jumper ring onto the charm so I could use it on a different necklace. Any ideas?

Does anyone happen to have an H2S Gas Detector that they would be willing to lend me for an afternoon? My building is giving me the runaround on a really pungent smell, and I want to see if there’s anything I can do to back it up with some evidence. I’m around the Kellogg’s Diner - would appreciate and return the favor with a coffee!

EDIT: It is a sewage smell rather than gas, so I’m not too worried about natural gas rather looking for something that might be able to clue me in to hydrogen sulphide from sewage.
