Dying Light or Days Gone?

• Upvotes

I’m wanting to play a post apocalyptic/ zombie game with at least a relatively open world and survival/ crafting aspects. I would love something that’s atmospheric, that I can really sink into, but not SUPER punishing. A satisfying progression pace would be nice too.

Dying Light and Days Gone were the first two that popped up on Google. Should I go with one of these or is there a better option out there? Thanks!

Edit: I’m on PS4

For me my drop dead favourite game ever made in the last decade is RDR2.

What about you guys?

If you could give a faithful remake to any game that's not one of the big obvious picks, what would it be?

I know a majority of answers are gonna be Simpsons Hit and Run or anything Rockstar did before GTA V so I'm looking for some lesser picked examples.

Personally I'd go either Kingdom Hearts or FEAR

What video game do you wish you could completely erase from your memory just to experience it for the first time again?

You are made lead designer of your favourite game series, either a sequel or ongoing live service. What's the first change you make?

Personally I would pick a free of $10 upgrade to RE3 remake that adds all the cut content alongside a free patch that redesigns Nemesis' AI to behaviour like Mr X

Alternatively I'd take Borderlands 5 back to zones areas rather than an open world that felt empty and impacted performance.

Will red dead revolver ever come to pc 100% complete? And red dead redemption 1 on pc be 100% complete?

For the first question, red dead revolver is the first game in the red dead series and the only one with no pc port. So it will be good to receive its deserved attention.

And for the second question, the pc port of rdr 1 is incomplete like missing all multiplayer content(which is better tham gta 5 mp and rdr 2 mp because the rdr 1 mp is made in order to have fun, not to grind and spent money on microtransactions).

What controls would you assign the ALT key to?

It's so convenient, right there by your thumb! Just tuck your thumb in a little when you're WASDing and you have a nice big button to push. What do you assign it to do?

Are we paying for games just to be beta testers ?

I don't understand what I'm playing anymore. We are currently playing RuneScape : Dragonwilds with some friends, and we feel like we arre playing an alpha.

I can't understand the difference between :

RuneScape (not early access game but with a roadmap), Project Zomboid (early access), Star Citizen (alpha), Crimson Desert (finished game, but "the dev listen the gamers so well" that the game is juste different today)

And now, just yesterday, we got Enshrouded "1.0"

What's the point of all this ? I specifically stopped clicking "Buy" whenever I saw "Early Access" (certainly as many people and yes i think that is the real reason of why industrie stop to tag "early access" on steam) But it feel to me like a "game dev support wahsing". Our game is finished ! yes yes ! but we listen to you and adapte our game to YOUR needs !!!

I spent 200 hours on Crimson Desert wondering why the game is named after a region we don't visit for... well, basically the entire game ? And then my friend tells me last week, "Hey ! last update they've rewritten the all story" WTF ? If tomorrow they launch Baldur's Gate 3.1 with a full different story ? what is going on ?

How do you feel about all this ?

Personally, it just makes me go back older RLCraft server XD

What are some of your favorite games that you've endured while playing on the ps4 console? Also what are your top FPS (first person shooter) games? I've spent alot of time on call of duty games/ warzone but am really over it at this point and looking for some other amazing games to get into. Both story mode games and battle Royale. I appreciate any and all reccomendations! Thank you.

On the evil within 1, how can you expand the stamina(like how many seconds can you run) like microsoft store version, with 2 new seconds of stamina? Is there a mod?

Yes, on microsoft store version you can run at the beginning 5 seconds instead of 3 seconds compared to steam, and if you increase the stamina to the max, you can run 12 seconds instead of 10 seconds. Is there a mod that brings this new feature on steam version?
