So you're admitting immigration makes things more expensive?

2

u/Reelwizard 12h ago

The fact that you’re so cooked that “invades” and “immigrates” are synonyms in your mind is just wild.

Considering there are millions of illegal immigrants in the USA and that's what people are complaining about. It is the same thing? What are you talking about?

u/Melodic-Trouble-5421 11h ago

It’s expensive to live here because the billionaires have monopolized everything. Capitalism doesn’t exist anymore. It’s Crony capitalism.

-1

u/Matthewlang1994 11h ago

It's pretty cheap to live in America compared to salaries.

2

u/Melodic-Trouble-5421 9h ago

Then why are half of Americans living pay check to paycheck?

-1

u/Matthewlang1994 8h ago

Because they're bad with money?

1

u/Melodic-Trouble-5421 7h ago

That’s not always true. Some people are working 3 jobs to get by.

I love when poor people bring up boot licking because that's how you know they lost the argument. Here let me make you feel better. It's everyone else's fault you're poor, it's the boomers, it's your parents, it's the governments, it's the corporations.

It has nothing to do with your low intelligence, laziness, lack of discipline, lack of drive, or any personal decision you make. All the people that make 100k are lying, lucky, or bootlickers!

Hope that makes you feel better, enjoy your mom's basement!

I’m not poor lol. I made a $173k as a Union Electrician last year. Then $55k into my pension and $22k into my 401k. I also get a $33k VA pension for life from being wounded in Afghanistan. Then I have one rental property.

However if you compare what my dad to me basically same job a Union Millwright and Veteran. He made less yet he had more buying power than me.

I don’t lose an argument. I’m just telling you that you’re a bootlicker.

Ok let’s add up a salary of $70k for a family of four in an average city in America.

What’s $70k per year after taxes? $54k

Groceries - $12k - $20k/a year. Let’s say $15k ($39k)

Gas - $3k times 2(Husband and Wife) ($33k)

Rent - $22k ($17k)

Electric - $2k ($15k)

Car - $12k ($3k)

Car insurance - $2k ($1k)

Phone $2k (-$1k)

You know I didn’t even get to the kids yet right? So tell me how do you make it off $70k($54k). Please elaborate bootlicker.

He didn't have more buying power he just didn't buy as much. How many TVs did your dad have? How often did he buy a new car? How many flights did he go on? When something broke who fixed it? How much smaller was his house? How many cell phones did he have? How many times did he go out to eat? How often does your wife repair clothes, instead of paying someone to deliver? How often do you throw spoiled groceries out instead of freezing it? How many streaming services did he have? How many vacations did he have? How elaborate was his car? Did it have back up cameras, 12 airbags, loud sound systems, large touch screens?

If you lived hyper Minimalist like they did then you'd have a mucher higher quality of life.

It's much easier to live frugally than it is to earn more money. This is why people come to America barely speaking English and do great here. This is why people risk their lives to come here. They're not delusioned that they can buy a new cell phone, car, and TV every year and still think they deserve more.

You have probably had everything handed to you kid. You’re a kid btw and you’re only 3 years younger than me.

u/Matthewlang1994 4h ago

I promise I grew up poorer than you 🤣 my mom had 5 kids, dad went to prison for several years and none of us could afford to go to college.

Less than .5% of people don't dictate if it's cheap or expensive. Our truck drivers make more than doctors in every country in the world besides 10ish. You can make 70k here pretty easy even if you're uneducated..

1

u/Melodic-Trouble-5421 6h ago

70k is barely getting by in most cities my friend. You’ve obviously never seen people struggling to get by. Tell me how you can support a wife and 2 kids off $70k.

1

u/Matthewlang1994 6h ago

My bad I didn't know your city was the entire country of America? Oops haha my mistake.

Everyone in my family is making around that. Even less actually.

My brother has 2 kids a house, two cars, a motorcycle, goes to Florida or vegas every few years. So clearly it's possible.

You don't understand how privileged you are, most of the world lives with their parents until they get married. Car ownership rates are extremely low. A gaming PC is a luxury, leaving the country is extremely rare. If America lived like most of the world most of the world would have tens of thousands of dollars saved. If you can't survive on 70k a year in 90% of America and you don't have medical issues, it's a you problem.

1

u/Melodic-Trouble-5421 6h ago

Also the average salary for someone with out a HS diploma is $41k.

1

u/Matthewlang1994 6h ago

Okay the average American is stupid? There's endless plumbing, manufacturing, truck driving jobs available. I have friends in every single trade there is and they all make 80k+, with the data centers paying absurd amounts they're making 100k easily no college. Maybe put in a little effort if you're working a dead end job.

1

u/Melodic-Trouble-5421 6h ago

The average for someone with a degree is $70k.

There are apparently millions of racist shitbags in the US. People are complaining about them too. Time to pack your bags.

1

u/Reelwizard 11h ago

The vast majority of people aren’t complaining about illegal immigrants. That’s not even what the post is about. The post is about a conservative shitheel claiming poverty is a personal problem. They’re also not “an invading force” no matter how much you desperately want them to be. Their refugees.

1

u/Matthewlang1994 11h ago

A shitty president was voted in largely because of illegal immigration? Poverty is a personal problem in 90% of cases especially in America. I never mentioned invading. The first guy is the one claiming illegal immigration is invading. The 1st is essentially saying if a large amount of Americans illegally immigrated to Mexico it would make things more expensive. Thus immigration makes things more expensive. He understands why people have issues with mass illegal immigration. Are you finally started to understand? Has it finally clicked for you?

1

u/slalmon 11h ago

You are so dumb lol, the joke wasn't even complicated and yet...

1

u/tubadude123 11h ago

Why not consider that those immigrants pay taxes, don’t get any benefit from said taxes, and when they’re deported, so is that line of tax revenue for the country. Also these people not being in our communities means they can’t spend money at our local businesses. Then there’s the fact that farming and home construction both rely heavily on being able to pay their workers less than legal citizens, which means deporting those people will make the cost of our food and houses go up. People living together in a community is not the problem driving unaffordability. That might be better witnessed from corporations constantly hoarding money, not paying taxes, lobbying to not change minimum wage for 18 years, getting billionaire chumps like Trump elected so they can do quid pro quos and ballroom deals (typed backroom, but ballroom auto correct was too good).

You sound like an uneducated child arguing that a poor Mexican or Venezuelan migrant had any chance of making my life more expensive.

1

u/Matthewlang1994 11h ago

So your argument is if I pay taxes and accept slavery like wages I'm free to move where ever I want?

I never once mentioned Mexico or Venezuela.. really weird and racist of you to say.

1

u/tubadude123 11h ago

What the hell are you on, I am arguing the opposite. The wages are slave like because the CORPORATIONS make it that way, not the immigrants. Corporations are the ones making life unlivable due to expenses.

Weird to call me racist for bringing up the people who are the ones doing the immigrating to the U.S. and you’re the one who wants to deport them, not me.

1

u/Matthewlang1994 11h ago

Okay and I'm saying you're justifying allowing them to stay because they pay taxes and work for less than favorable conditions meaning it benefits large corporations and the government?

So in that argument you feel it would be okay for me to illegally move to whatever country I want, as long as I do those two things?

It is extremely racist to call illegal immigrants Mexican and Venezuelan...? I know illegal immigrants from all over the world. I'm confused on what makes you think it's only those two that are here illegally?

1

u/tubadude123 11h ago

So disingenuous, I picked a couple countries as examples and you’re completely twisting it. Kind of hilarious you’re painting me as racist for this honestly. I couldn’t care less what color someone’s skin is. I would love for all people to be paid fairly for their work but that would require massive corporations to act for the greater good, to pay their employees, and sacrifice raw profits quarter on quarter. Not going to happen by choice. So they’ve spent the last 40-50 years rigging the system so they don’t have to pay a fair share of taxes and can sit on their mountains of wealth with impunity.

If you want to fix affordability, deportation is not the way. Getting big money out of our politics and taxing the corporations and the billionaires fairly is.

1

u/Matthewlang1994 11h ago

It's just weird to mention two specific groups of people.. also billionaires and corps pay like 70% of all taxes so weird to support it when immigrants pay very few taxes but get angry about it when billionaires pay basically all the taxes.

I agree that would help affordability, but not allowing illegal immigrants shouldn't depend on affordability.. if hundreds thousands of rich Americans moved to Mexico it'd probably help stimulate the economy. It doesn't mean it's an overall benefit..

1

u/tubadude123 11h ago

False figure. Individual income tax provides roughly 50% of all federal revenue. Your figure might be related to the fact that the top 10 % of individual income earners pay about 70% of all individual income taxes. And those make up 50% of the total.

I do agree with you that mass illegal immigration is obviously not what we want for our society. But the barriers to legal entry are significant, and many of these people are coming from extreme poverty, gang violence, etc. so I don’t fault them for making the best of their terrible situation.

0

u/Matthewlang1994 11h ago

The barriers to legal entry are significant?? That's why we also allow the most legal immigrants in the world? Because it's difficult?

A country has a right to decide by who they bring into office. I'd love to see you guys cry this much when poorer countries deport people. When Mexico accidentally killed 180ish illegal immigrants a few years ago when deporting people from south America I wish you would have said something. When Thailand and Malaysia r deport people from Myanmar I wish you would have said something. They kill far more illegal immigrants per capita than America.
