I haven’t bought my first codex yet, but I’ve long been homebrewing some Raven Guard successors. I want to pick up the combat patrol and paint them in my colors, but I also like the idea of eventually fielding Aethon Shaan’s badass model.

Could I swap out the head, paint him purple, and call him something different? No homebrew stats, no mix-and-match, just Raven Guard rules across the board with a legally distinct feathery badass?

In sillier words, could totally-not-Raven Guard field Shaethon-Aan or totally-not-Ultramarines field “Caleus Malgar”?

I am over my army 2k point list..... With 19 models. Truly the emperor has blessed us. This is insane and I love it. Either this army will be op or terrible and I'm fine with it either way 😂

With the exception of a weird little piece on the drive shaft, this was an absolute joy to build and paint! Full video coming next week!

Another user suggested putting my orks on a flower meadow. I really like the idea and it's a change to my typical frosty/barren wasteland bases.

I think we did alright, what do you think?
- I can definitely see some errors and mistakes, but we had a lot of fun doing it, and it feels very addicting tbh! Watching the progress from an all black bland piece, to a real character! Super cool.

What should we look for as next set once we finish this?

Not finished exactly, I think ill trace it- smooth out some of the lines, add detail- then add some colour. But im chuffed with how cool this came out so far 😊

I owned a leviathan kit for 2 years and now I’m finally at a point where I can paint! However, I am feeling very iffy over how I should paint these things because I want something simple, unique and good looking. I’m also terrified of how this will transfer to my Screamer Killer. The second picture is not 100% what I’m going for because the yellows are too bright. Also, more importantly, what do I add to make it a 1000 point army? My friend is doing knights and I haven’t been able to play the game yet despite knowing a lot of lore so I’m scared that these are gonna get completely smashed.
