Traded in my 14PM using ATT $1,200 trade in any condition offer. Had it for just about a month now. No complaints. This is my first iPhone that isn’t gold since the iPhone 7 Plus. Honestly, I would’ve kept my 14PM if it wasn’t for this weird glitch where apps would restart when switching between them, and the fact it wasn’t USB-C. I was just as excited to get a color matching Anker battery pack!

After using the 14PM since launch and being very much in doubt whether I would get the 18PM, the Duo, or wait another year, I ended up deciding on the 18PM in Glacier.

My 14PM could certainly be used for at least another year, but its battery was unusable. the phone would heat up like crazy for no apparent reason and by the middle of the day I already had to charge it to last until the end of the day. This is without a doubt the highlight of this upgrade for me: the battery. I've never had a phone with a battery that lasts as long as the 18PM. With relatively heavy use I get about 10 hours of SOT. With more moderate/light use it easily surpasses that.

Besides the battery, having Apple Intelligence is also a bonus for me. I use the text/search tools quite a bit.

Other than that, there really isn't a huge difference in day-to-day use, in my perception. I hope to keep this phone for at least 4 years, as prices are already at absurd levels.

Finally upgraded to a 512gb pro max. This color is so sick. coming from a 13 pro this feels like a substantial upgrade

I upgraded from the iPhone 14 Pro (which I absolutely loved) to the iPhone 18 Pro Max two weeks ago, and how do I put it… this thing is an absolute beast! I couldn’t be happier with it!

First things first, the looks. This burgundy color looks so premium. I didn’t hesitate for a single second when choosing the color. (Then again, burgundy is kind of my favorite color, as you can probably tell from the other things surrounding the iPhone in this picture, haha.)

Second, the size. I’ve always owned regular-sized iPhones because I thought the Max would be way too bulky and cumbersome. Well… turns out I was completely wrong! The Max experience is genuinely impressive. Taking photos and videos, watching movies or TV shows… everything feels so much more comfortable on that bigger display. I have fairly large hands, so I don’t find it uncomfortable to use at all, but I can definitely understand why some people might find it too big.

Third, the battery life. Just WOW! It’s incredible. I use my iPhone heavily throughout the entire day, and I still have around 50% battery left when I get home in the evening. Honestly, that’s mind-blowing!

Fourth, the camera. The new variable aperture on the main camera does a great job. It might seem like a small detail, but it can make a real difference depending on the lighting conditions, allowing you to achieve some really nice effects. Same goes for the shutter speed controls!

Fifth, performance. I did some light photo editing and multitasked with several apps running at the same time just to put it through its paces, and it didn’t even break a sweat. No noticeable overheating whatsoever!

And last but not least, I’m now living with just one kidney since buying this iPhone. 😂 (Just kidding, haha.)
Honestly, the only real downside is the price. Other than that, this thing is an absolute powerhouse, and I’m genuinely thrilled with it!

As a true benchmark of growth and development, this year, when I upgrade my phone, I will be disposing of the box immediately. Thank you for listening.

After 7 years of daily service it’s finally time to retire my 11 Pro Max. I still love the Midnight Green, still the best colour ever but the Burgundy is a worthy replacement.

I wonder if I’ll still have the 18 PM 7 years from now? Still not used to the idea of changing but excited to get into the differences and improvements on the new phone. A lot of people will be waiting on a Duo but I don’t want a folding phone right now, I’m very happy with a candy bar style phone for the foreseeable.

Bought this 18 Pro for my mom about a month ago. It’s been smooth sailing, except this camera issue that occurs when attempting to take a picture of a paper. Any possible solutions other than bringing it back to Apple?

I flipped my phone over today while in at work and noticed that the camera plateau was fading. And it looked like the area was polished. I’ve had this thing since launch, nothing extreme just normal use. The phone itself looked dark blue on where it was fading. By some miraculous chance got an Apple genius appt same day. They looked at my phone and checked their notes if it’s covered under warranty… apparently it is not. The tech consulted with her manager and they took my phone over to one of the display blacks and noticed that my “black” phone had a blue undertone on all aluminum parts. Both manager and tech agreed that the best remedy was to replace my phone. I’m glad I was able to get in and out of the Apple Store in about one hour (including activation of new phone). None the less this is weird for my black iPhone to be fading to blue. Anyone else out there experiencing this. Above are the pics of the phone before I got it swapped with the new one. I should have taken a side by side with one of their display phones 🤦🏻‍♂️.

Long overdue. I always rock my phone naked and unless the phone feels barely there I won’t use it. This one’s nice. Very thin case overall. Great material, feels great to hold.

The area to the camera plateau has a gradual slope that makes it pretty comfortable to the hand unlike the previous iterations, which are just flat till the camera bump. Camera button’s overall responsive, kinda iffy if you have swipe enabled.

I will say though, the edges around the charging port cutout are still quite sharp, which is probably unavoidable given how thin it is. So if you’re a pinky-under-the-phone user, you’ll feel like something’s cutting your pinky.

I’ll give this case a 9/10, try it out if you want a thin case.

Black or silver?

9 hr shift and pretty much steady constant usage all day. To say the least , this battery is more than enough.

Loving the battery on this, I used it for my work the next day and it definitely lasts longer compared to my 17 Pro Max when I also used it for my work the next day.

I’ve been loving playing around with photographic styles while taking pictures. And if you customise the styles in the camera app they will be remembered when you select them again a second time.

But as you know you can also change them after taking a photo, but I found that the settings I set in the camera app are not the same I found in the Photos app afterwards.
And once personalised in a photo on the Photos app and saved then if you edit another photo the styles will be reset.

Is there a way to actually save the custom styles?

Workaround: take a photo for each of the syles you like in the camera app and then copy paste the edits on other pics.

(I’m also posting this to [r/iOS27](r/iOS27) as I’m not sure if it’s just iPhone 18 pro related or if iPhone 16/17 have this too)

Hi i got 18 pro 2 weeks ago. Battery life seems not normal. Indexing has done already. I have checked with apple support as well and they said there is a no issue. Any advice?

I just received my 18 pro max in the mail this week and the power button does not feel as clicky as the volume buttons. It almost feels like it gets stuck then goes back to normal. I have an Apple Tech Woven case on it but I tried it with another case from Amazon and with no case and it seems to be doing the same thing with or without a case. I’m thinking of taking it down to the Genius Bar for a replacement. It’s ridiculous that such an expensive brand-new phone would have this issue only a few days in. Has anybody else also had to deal with this?

I haven’t had a pro before but it is nice only having to charge every other day 🪫
