Furniture The r/corvette sub said I should post on here
My car + my living space. I would consider myself a minimalist and non-materialist, but I really love cars lol.

Update Post-Move Update
Hello! I posted a couple of months ago pre-move, asking for advice. Now that I've moved, I'm asking for another round of advice. I would like a similarly sized, but sturdier, couch, a larger TV, and any direction for the bathroom.

First Time Here it is, don't blow me up too hard!
Been here for 6 years now. 3bd 2ba manufactured home. Me(39m), my 5yo, dog and 2 cats. It's lived in, I didn't spit shine it for photos. Don't come at me for the dishes haha. I made chicken parm last night and haven't done dishes yet, will do during football. But I decorated everything myself, might be good or bad to admit, we shall see haha. I thrifted almost everything. The wall above the couch is a work in progress I have a few more photos to hang and rearrange, don't really like how they are now for some reason. Still a work in progress. I feel like me and the place have come a long way. From a broke clueless expecting dad to a slightly less broke, business owner, dad to an awesome little man. Proud I'm making it happen all by myself though. Night pictures make it kinda gloomy, but it's bright and gets great light in the day.

First Time 28M - Finally getting my living room together, but don’t know if it needs a rug. What style, size, or color would tie the sofa and Acapulco chair together without crowding the space? Any specific pattern recs?

Inspiration Storage/Trolley
Bought an old beer crate in a flea market. Cleaned and varnished it, and added four wheels. I then asked a mate, who's a metalworker, to cut a sheet of steel to the right size and drill a hole in it, so you could put your finger through it and use it as a lid. Must say I 'm pretty pleased with the result. A cheap and unique container/drinks trolley;

Update 1 Year Update, 25M
https://www.reddit.com/r/malelivingspace/s/E5DRTL6QE8
Its been great for the most part!
Only so much i can do while renting
I’ve tried to keep the minimal look but make it a little more “homey”
The rug is not the colour i want but it will do for now!
The TV is still on the wall a year later which is always a bonus lol
I’m most proud of the 2 tall plant stands that i made myself, they both have a swiss cheese in (Monstera)
I also made a sofa shelf which i struggle to organise, i just can’t seem to get it right.
Working from home and living alone means is gets lonely at times
Ive played around with layouts alot of the year but ive kinda settled on this for now
its mostly been organised around plant placement and light needs
I also had a play around with some wall art but just couldn’t seem to get it right so kept the walls plain, i feel the empty negative space balances out some of the busier areas
what do you guys think?
oh and bonus pics of my room mates

Furniture Chaise Longue
I don't know if any of you guys out there are familiar with Le Corbusier's Chaise Longue? It's a bit of a design classic. I've had mine for 30 years now, and granted, it could use a bit of TLC :-). So after years of postponing and getting frustrated, I finally had a go at restoring it. Here are some pictures before and after.

The only room I've decorated since my separation.
After my separation, this living room, like the rest of the house, ended up completely empty (first pic). I put some effort into making the bedroom feel cozier, but the living room still feels a bit bare. Behind the couch, I have a projector and a PS4. I didn't want to buy another TV. The rest of the house is either purely functional or pretty much empty.
What do you guys think I could do to make the place feel more like a home?

First Time 8 year old son's room
4x3m bedroom, always felt a bit small and lacked room for playing (lego's and stuff) so i made him a loft style bed, its a full queen sized bed.

First Time Got divorced, moved into a hole with my cat, spent six months making it into our home
I don’t have the space to entertain much company (living in a studio), so y’all are getting the tour

First Time Entertainment nook
I don’t get much say in how we (30m/25f) decorate but the wife let me keep my Tarantino posters and we just added in this neat fireplace. The nook used to be a fireplace I think at some point but we like this unique setup. Yes, tv too high, we don’t mind lol big tv and big living room

Advice 36M living solo for the first time
The flat was unfurnished and I’ve had so much fun making it my own. Tried to go for a modern organic, calming vibe. Would love to hear your thoughts on any additional colour touches I could add, as as well as art for my main wall.

Question Will this TV stand color look ok in my apartment?
I really hate my current white TV stand it bothers me a lot, I hate having white walls and a white TV stand it looks very sterile to me, and I found this one that I kind of liked so I ordered it but I have not assembled it yet.
Most of my furniture is some shade of brown, I have espresso cabinets and an espresso coffee table, and a dark brown desk, and then my TV is gray... this TV stand is more of a little/medium oak. I am still working to understand how colors look together but right now just really wanting a new TV stand.
My next plans will be to hang up this colorful piece of framed art I have and eventually get a rug.
I really like the design of the TV stand, it is simple and I just like the way it looks, kind of basic but in a good way... it's also wider than my current TV stand by just a few inches and has cable management holes.
I was actually going to mount my TV above my fireplace but the more I did it the more I realized I would end up on r/TVTooHigh, and tbh it just wasn't worth the effort... if anything, my TV might end up being a few inches too low, but oh well.

My little hideaway
Complete with 40 bottles of whiskey, 15 bottles of wine, and about 20 barrel aged stouts. It's mostly used furniture so I know it's not all a perfect match

Figured I’d toss one in.
Been spending the week getting the living room homey and warm for the cold season. Single dad here. Sup everyone.

This sub has become a meme: and today's example is that a Corvette is somehow a living space.
Unless you're talking about a ship how does this barely 3feet of internal cubic space count as a living space?
There also seems to be no distinction anymore between
and
A Corvette (if we're talking about the car not the ship) has (by design) an "interior." Congratulations!
However,
That doesn't make it a living space. Unless the post is about someone genuinely living in the car, the connection is essentially a meme about the subreddit rather than a meaningful contribution the subject matter at hand.
