I've been listening since 89. This makes my old heart happy.

These four Palladium prints never made the cut to be part of the original six (seven, depending on who you ask). Pretty unique find. What you guys think?

The death chair has been captured many times. Including this time, with him and his girlfriend and in action in the actual music video of course. I wonder where that went. Probably a landfill. Someone could mistake it for a hunk of industrial junk. Honestly for the vibe of the music video that's not a bad compliment lol.
Trent is nowhere in this photo. Only Bob Flanagan and the torture assistants (evil) who did the props and stuff (excuse for real torture!) I notice one of them is holding a flashlight up to him while the camera is barely in shot. Probably not in takes since the people in frame.
Very cool set.

I am 53 and yes, I was and have been completely obsessed with Nine Inch Nails since high school.
Often I will circle back through the good old songs and wanted to ask this group by chance if there are any sound geeks like me..
In the song Reptile, how did he make that sound in the non-chorus chorus?
It’s almost like a high-pitched whiny trumpet that has a little swing rhythm to it
At 3:06 it starts up
It’s probably the same sample used an I five below and just seems to swing
Anyone?

Inspired by the destructive nature by TR back in the 90's and some part of the 2000's
This video was made 2022, by me.

Been listening to the Tetsuo soundtracks by Chu Ishikawa and the first "Tetsuo: the iron man" soundtrack really sounds like a direct heavy influence on early NIN. One of the songs sounds alot like SIN off of PHM. I can almost hear some march of the pigs at certain moments. Just sounds like Ishikawa's industrial sonic pallete influenced Trent quite a bit. I think I like the tetsuo 3 soundtrack the most.

This was my first NIN show and first concert sober. I can say this gave me that feeling I was missing since giving up alcohol. Having the audio now from that show helps keep that memory alive.
Also as a side note, this is my favorite version of Closer that was performed at this show but that is just my bias.

Hey guys! So I think there's a Into the Void version with female vocals in it. It might be a remix or live performance so sorry can't remember which one is it. But I'm quite certain that I've heard it. Could you please help me find it?
Thanks in advance

What are NIN heaviest songs?
I wanted to discuss the heaviest with different meanings. The heaviest emotionally, the heaviest tempo/speed. The heaviest distortion on any given song would love a discussion.

I’m a Media Studies PhD student researching the Broken movie for a paper (which might turn into my dissertation). I’ve been fascinated by the evolution of the Broken movie since I first found out about it almost a decade ago– from the VHS to the bootlegs to the LimeWire P2P sharing to the PirateBay DVD to its current state on Internet Archive.
I’m trying to gather as much information about the Broken movie as I can. Tell me your Broken movie stories! Did you buy one of the bootlegs? Have someone in college play the VHS at a party and tell you it was real? Spend four days downloading it using dial-up? Found the video from Wikipedia? Didn’t know it existed until this post? Let me know!
If you have dates or year range estimates and (if you had a physical copy) are comfortable sharing which region you were in, this is especially helpful. I think I might have found a potential geographic trend. The more info I get the better :)
