Got a quote to do a root canal for a molar with a crown. I shopped around and most are similar prices or wont give you a price on the phone even though you are asking for specific procedures. And the worst part a lot of the root canal specialist don’t accept dental insurance.

I pay $890 a month for medical insurance in NYC as a single guy and it doesn’t include dental or vision anyways.

I also do need lasik(3k per eye) to help improve my double vision but that is considered cosmetic and is not covered by insurance at all. So now I need to choose either to prioritize saving my tooth or help improve my vision as it causes intense headaches when reading.

I just needed to show how ridiculous our country healthcare is and I want more people to wake up and ask where is all our tax dollars going when we can’t afford to fix something basic like our teeth and vision.

Btw dental and vision in America is not considered healthcare hence why you need separate insurance for them.

It was my honeymoon, so maybe that is an excuse? Got on the smart scale this morning fearing the worst, and my scale thought it was someone else and that the data is mismatched. Let's get on a diet...

Thankfully nobody got hurt but we did get hit with some shrapnel. Only ran twice before this happened. And yes I took it back right away and got a new one.

Title: A friend gave me his leaking espresso machine. I opened the brew unit and found live worms inside.

He’d already bought a replacement, so I figured I’d try cleaning and fixing this Café Affetto.

While cleaning the removable brew unit, I took out the screws holding its gear cover. Underneath were tiny moving worms among the plastic gears and what looks like white lubricant.

This compartment was covered and screwed together. I don’t know what these are, how they got inside, or how long they’ve been there.

I was expecting a worn seal. I was not expecting tenants.

My airbnb was next to a lake and was provided with the gear for 3 days. My first cast and the only lure landed on a tree.

Anyways, i don't think the lake had any fishes :P
