Yap & Snack I’ve never seen my partners whole face
I’ve known my partner for 6 years now and he’s never shaved in that time; he’s always rocked a full comfy beard and stash, only trimming every week or so.
I remember (early on) when I discovered the shape of his upper lip because he accidentally trimmed his mustache too short, and I was somehow shocked to discover he had such a cute upper lip
I don’t think about it that often but I truly can’t imagine his face without 50%+ of it covered in hair, kinda spooks me sometimes when I do think about it (but not in any serious way, I love the man, probably still if he’d have no face at all)
(Sometimes I really wanna use an image generator to find out what his face looks like under there but it feels highly invasive and also fuck AI)
Dinner is butternut squash and feta cheese, I think I’ll blend it for a sauce or a soup

Fyi, if the business survives (which based on the facts that were outted by the part time optional unmasking saga seems unlikely), and you're ever out that way, it is actually a really cool spot. It always has been- I've been during all of the last 3 regimes. I get that some people are bummed out by being asked to mask, but they'll provide one at the door and it's not that big of a deal (imo) (which I think makes it even crazier the way the whole story blew up).

Y'know how they advise bearded parents to, if they need to shave, to do it in front of their very young children to help ease the transition for the kid? Otherwise they might not know that's really their dad.

My dad shaved his beard once when I was a child, and I still remember how much i hated it - my dad had a beard! Similarly, my husband occasionally shaves his face (usually in summer to let the sun reach his skin!), and my children, while more used to it than I was, still don't like it, and honestly, I'm not a fan either.

My dad used to have either a mustache or full beard all the time when I was a kid. At some point when I was older he started shaving and has been clean shaven since, but I was so used to him having a beard and/or mustache that I still think of him with one, and I have to like, actually look at him to remind my brain that he doesn't have it anymore. I think he's gone without it now longer than he had it in my lifetime, but my brain still clings to the image of him with facial hair.

My dad always had a beard. Sometimes it was a big ZZ Top thing, sometimes it was trimmed, but it was mostly always there. On a couple of occasions, he threw caution to the wind and took it off and my mum always reacted badly: "Oh Stephen! Put it back on! I'm going to have to move to a hotel for a couple of weeks!". One day, my dad came to pick us up from school and he was naked faced. He sat us down that afternoon and told us that he and mum were getting a divorce. Obviously, it was totally unrelated to his face, but I was convinced that she'd finally snapped over his beard shaving.

And if you want a real trippy thought, my grandfather was in the war and a shell went off in his face. He was blinded (no eyes) and had so much reconstructive surgery. So he never saw his wife, kids, or anyone. And we truly don’t know what he looked like. We only saw after the plastic surgery. Girl, my husband fully shaved for the first time after we had been dating a year. If he wasn’t in my bathroom when it happened I wouldn’t have recognized him. He went from being an Adonis of a man to looking like a young Rick Moranis in “Honey I Shrunk the Kids” it was upsetting. How did this man hide from me the fact that he has zero chin?
So, lesson learned, maybe you don’t actually want to know.

Bisexual, I agree. Like, you haven't ever been curious? You're telling me the first time you saw your partner shaved was when he was your HUSBAND? The concept of not being able to immediately recognize your spouse is freaky asf

isn't it kinda fucked up? you're basically telling him you think his real face is ugly? for me it's the same if my partner said he doesn't want to see my face without makeup

If my husband shaves his beard all the way off he is a dead ringer for his sister. And I mean she has mistaken photos of him for herself before. So this is a trim only, no full shave household.

have you never seen photos of him as a teenager or young adult before he might have had a full beard?

Been with my husband 8 years. Never seen his full face except for pictures. I said "you kinda look like buzz light-year without a beard"
I don't think I'll ever see his full face after that

I’ve never seen my husband without a beard. I’ve seen pics of it from his time in the navy but that was ~50lbs ago. He said he won’t even consider shaving the beard until he’s confident there’s only 1 chin under it

My Dad shaved his facial hair once 25 years ago when I was 4 or 5 and apparently I cried so bad he never did it again, I don’t remember what it looks like.

lol my dad did the same.
I’m in my 30s now and he’s never shaved it since. He gives me crap anytime he even trims it when I’m in town “you sure this is ok?? Gonna cry??”

My ex-husband always had a full beard and I’d never seen his face either. We had been together for about 5 years and one day he came home fully shaved.
He scared me so bad I peed a little. I thought someone had broken in to our house and I started attacking the poor bastard.

I've been with my husband for ten years, married for eight, and I have never seen him clean-shaven. He trimmed his beard fairly short one time for a costume a couple years into marriage, and I was like NOPE ABSOLUTELY NOT GROW IT BACK. Not that he was unattractive; it just freaked out my brain.

I’ve seen pics of my boyfriend clean shaven when he was like 22 and he’s very cute but he doesn’t think he is. He is very cute with a beard too. I’ll take it.

I asked my Dad to grow a beard as a kid and did. Last week he shaved it off for the first time in about 30 years for surgery. Such a strange sight at first, but the beard is already coming back.

My husband said he'd shave one day to surprise me but years came and went, never saw it. Finally eight years in we watched one of those videos where men surprise their partners after shaving and he did it within a day or two. Keep waiting, maybe one day lol
