Ordered 9/5 and took delivery yesterday in South Florida. MY Premium RWD. Worth the wait and delivery was flawless! Got the ‘27 VIN which has PowerShare!

Question on tint… the 2 rear windows come pre-tinted to I believe 20% tint??

I was planning to tint the 4 windows with 15%, and the front windshield with 70%. All ceramic film.

Since the 2 rears are pre-tinted - does the tint shop have to remove the pre-tint, or do they just go over top?

Side note: Yes, I am aware of tint laws!

I was wondering if someone could help me figure out insurance rates and options here in Houston, TX. I have just moved from Canada and have no idea how to shop for it.

Ordered September 11 had an original EDD October 11- November 11. Had two updates once fairly soon to October 9-23 and then October 16-30 since it was a two week window I assumed the time was narrowing. Then sadly this morning woke up to this update? I see everyone who placed orders way after me getting theirs this month. My pick up is Spokane, WA. Anyone else experience this?

It is a 2026 Tesla Model Y AWD; it has 11k miles. Is this common?

I'm brand new to tesla and just ordered a model Y awd. I'm so excited! My question to the group is if it's worth upgrading to the white interior or is that a fools errand. I love the white, pristine open look that the white gives it but I fear it may not be practical with my two kids. I keep going back and forth on it and I feel like since I'm already investing in this car why not make it exactly the way I want but maybe I should be trying to be more practical and save money. I don't make crazy money and my wife and I plan to keep the car for at least 5 years and hope the the Model YL makes it to Canada then switch over. I'm greatful for any advice or even personal perspective on the aesthetic. Thank you in advance to everyone!

Tesla: Picking up my first new (financed) Model Y standard RWD tmrw!!!

I tried getting quotes from Geico, AAA, Tesla and more. If I quote under my mom (25+ yrs of driving experience w/ no accidents) I get around $600/month. If I quote under my name it's over $1000. I am currently paying around $400/month for 2016 Range Rover.

** I genuinely don't know much about insurance. So I am not blaming any of these insurance companies. I just want to know if this is seems reasonable given my background. Is there any tips on getting discounts or lower rates...? Is getting an insurance under my mom a right decision?

I know my driving experience is making these rates extremely high and I know these quotes heavily depends on individuals...but please help me out a little!! Thanks!!!

Has anyone had the heating element burn their seat? I just turned on the back seat heater for the first time and this happened 😟.

I can’t decide between the two

I have a 2023 Tesla Model Y and was trying to modify the rear lights to keep some lights on while turning the others off. To do this, I cut a red wire and then reconnected it by twisting the two ends together.

After that, both right-side rear parking lights stopped working: one is on the tailgate, and the other is on the body of the car. However, the right brake light and turn signal still work normally. All the lights on the left side are working.

In Tesla Service Mode, the error VCRIGHT_a312_right-TailLightFault appears. This could be related to a disconnected light, insufficient current draw, or an eFuse that has tripped as a protective measure.

I have already tried locking the car for 20–30 minutes to see if the system would reset, but the problem persists.

What I need to find out: whether the eFuse for the right rear light circuit has tripped and, if so, how to reset it correctly.

I'm ready to order the car but I don't know the whole process. When does it ask for the financing information during ordering? Do I first fill out the order with the options I want and finish that? And then will a financing option come up after that? Thanks.

Just got a vin assigned. RWD Premium in FL.
My question is, do I need to upload my proof of insurance now? I’m just not sure what date to put on my insurance to say the change in vehicle is happening since I don’t know when it’s going to be delivered. Or is this step not required in order for the delivery date option to populate?

Wondering if I need to live with squeaky seats

I am in the process of buying a second handed 2025 Model Y unit. I was able to inspect the car’s in the service mode where I found many VCRIGHT_a139_hvacLHVaneFault and VCRIGHT_a140_hvacRHVaneFault repetitive alerts. When testing the frontal AC I could hear weird noises and there was not enough airflow, which matches the alert.

The car is still in warranty but I wonder: how bad this is? The car has 30.000kms (19.000 miles). I wonder if these issues are common or if they could be a “repetitive” fault. Would it be a deal breaker for you?

Has anyone found sunshades which do a good job keeping light out and providing privacy which mount on the inside of the Model Y L?

Some systems include cloth or magnets outside of the windows. This is not what I’m after, but please feel free to add them for other seekers.

Is it order certified pre own get delivery faster? Or brand new model 3 faster than a Model Y?

I live in Ontario and my profile is Ontario based. I earned credits by my family and friends ordering cars in the US. The app shows that the credits will expire. However I keep reading that credits don't expire in Ontario. Does that only apply to credits earned by cars that were ordered in Ontario or for any resident of Ontario (regardless of where the car was ordered) ?

Order the car on 10/13 via lease, confirmed leasing financing the day after. Original delivery date was December - January 2027. But the next day it moved to 10:14-10/25.

Now it’s updated to 10/25-11/8.

Since I will be traveling 10/28 to 11/3( and I work from home) I was thinking about going ahead and selling my car 2022 Model Y (paid off) to Carvana this week since they gave me a quote $6K above Tesla trade-in value. I’m thinking I can thug it out with no car in LA for a few days, but would hate for it to keep getting pushed back. Thoughts?

I test drove a model Y last month and used the FSD. I kept my hands off the steering wheel the whole time and on a stretch of road with no traffic, I closed my eyes for at least 39 seconds and never received any notifications. Is this normal? I hear people saying they have to keep hands on the wheel and watch the road.

I feel like AC used to be strong. Like i rarely need to do more than fan level 3. But nowadays i dont even notice any difference in temp when level is set to 3. I pretty much always leave it at the highest setting at all times during summer.

Changed cabin and HEPA and still having issues. I am not sure if this is normal and just my memory is wrong lol does anyone experience any similar issues?

I just picked up my Tesla a few days ago and I noticed the photobooth interior camera is very pixelated and not as clear as the other exterior cameras. I noticed it when I picked up the car. The Tesla advisor acknowledged that it was unclear and said it was likely an update. I did the Halloween update recently and it still is an issue. Is this normal?

I also noticed that the camera glitches black sometimes. Others having this issue?

Noisy as hell, everything is squeaking and creaking. Suspension is rattling.

Getting rid of this shit as soon as possible.
