Hello everyone. Im a long time RS player but most of my time has been spent in osrs. Ive triend RS3 a few different times have leveled my skills a bit but I always get kinda lost with so much going on and how far behind I am. Obviously a skill issue and will go away with time. Id like to really give it a shot again and try to get farther into it than I have in the past. What is some advice you would give me, or something you personally enjoy that I could try out or work towards.

Discussion Gharazi Knights Drop Rate

Post image
33 Upvotes

Have they nerfed the drop rates 2 days after release? I understand people getting 2min kills but this is just too much. Currently at 350kc without seeing a single drop from both me and my duo.

Edit: This post is to figure out any anomalies with the drop rate, and gather some data together. Im aware that higher enrage wields better drops, no need to tell me to 'just get good' this is not the purpose of the post.

Discussion - J-Mod reply So... Plugins are launching on Monday! Who else is HYPED for plugins?

This is 1 feature I have been wanting for many years, and I think it will revolutionize the game in so many ways. Seeing agility spots hit boxes, helping with clues and quests, and even the potential for whole new game modes (tileman, brozeman, etc.). I know all anyone wants to talk about right now is ReIgnited, but plugins are going to be such a gamechanger!

Discussion The pumpkin/turnip joke in this year's Halloween quest you might've missed.

Near the end of the quest, we pick up some candy from a pumpkin bowl in death's office, we asked why a pumpkin and he says pumpkins fit the modern taste better than turnips.

If you didn't know, jack-o-lanterns are hundreds of years old, and were originally made of turnips in Europe, and only modern ones in America used pumpkins.

Suggestion New Era Compendium Pt. 2, My Suggestions To Fix RS3

Hello. I'm an almost 20 year veteran who returned to runescape 3 years ago, and have once again fallen in love with Runescape, especially seeing the potentials it's trying to utilize. Over the past few years i have noticed the chaos and uncertainty on the developers end, as well as spending time with communities in both members and f2p. I tend to go out of my way and help show newbies things that aren't so well presented to them and teach them mechanics when they're receptive enough to conceive, like snagging the pathfinder armor and making portents, let alone handing out the best gears to start with.

Free to play has always just felt like a chat room where you can semi skill and i feel like if you want people to really join members, a better wholesome first impression will make all the difference. I have noticed pay to play has so much dead content and unused resources i wish i could see be used, so ive put a lot of thought into some good ways to spruce them up and maybe even change the economics and flow of both sides of the paywall.

With ignited flopping i hope jagex can see these suggestions to fix what we have for the better, especially for new players. These changes would cause economic shifts through f2p, smeltdown, and the ability to disassemble stuff without invention like the springcleaner does, as well as by bringing traffic to the less used areas and items in the game. And new players will get a more abundant first impression that I believe will be hard to leave. I just want to see a more trafficked and lively world when everybody stops hovering around portables and the same skilling areas all the time.

Over the past five years i have been a part of destiny 2's journey and i can wholeheartedly say nothing impacted the community more than when they finally fixed up and utilized all of the broken and dead content, and created a complete and fully enjoyable game.

I waive all rights to any ownership of these suggestions or royalties and hope you make use of them.

Part 1: https://www.reddit.com/r/runescape/s/Ae1mA3oNiD

5-SUMMONING REFURBISH

Summoning is in a sense a vice to prayer, and needs gear. Some can raise the summons effect to raise your level, some can reduce the overtime drain like prayer stats do on gear, and some can reduce the cost of using moves. Some gear can even have a chance of saving scrolls or pouches when used, or buff a summons special move damage. It would be nice to see some shaman builds for gathering runs and other things again. Maybe even in combat.

5a-Other animal masks and their appropriate staves should be removed or edited and we should instead get shaman staves and masks to also attribute these summoning things functioning similar to croziers. Dragon masks are irrelevant and still fun items unless they're reworked as power armor.

5b-Only able to craft stripey headress with appropriate summoning level, no ranged requisite, all summoning gear should be hybrid as well as mitres.

5c-Certain hunting helmet items could see a crossover between summoning buffs and hunter based boosts. Some gear that could use perks include.

Antlers Lizard helmet Ram skull helmet Bearhead Crab helmet - fishing summons level boost +1 Orokami masks Cyclopean helmet Shaman outfit Grahk headress Kyatt headress Larupia hat

6-PLAYER OWNED FARM OVERHAUL

The player owned farm disease system is terrible. Instead, lets make some less used in game items and things useful as well as add a little more effort and risk. I especially aimed at certain less used items and new items that coincide with other suggestions i have.

6a-Antibiotics can be bought from a farm vendor and the level locked ability to make antibiotics with herbology should be added as well. You guys can decide the recipe but it should include fever grass and possibly a mushroom.

6b-You treat the condition and in an hour either you guessed right or you try again. Throw too many cures at an animal at once and it dies. Ignore them after discovering your animal has an ailment and it also dies or maybe refuses to mate. Symptoms shouldn't change with new dialogue and stay consistent until they are treated or the animal passes, and cures for the ailments should be as follows.

Flu = nettle tea Foot mouth = comfort/petting (anxiety relief) Cough = antibiotics Bone rattles = coconut milk+strange fruit+myre pear Curse = holy water (priests can bless water vials mixed with silver dust, also 99 prayer players) Dry nose = relycims mix

6c-Also strange plants should spawn all throughout karamja randomly.

7-RUNESPAN OVERHAUL

7a-I think runespan needs a serious facelift. The concept and mechanics are great but lacking flair, and the nodes/harvested npcs feel tacky and out of place. I have the idea of adding an antagonist. Elemental golems from the elemental workshop. They spawn and you can shoot them with your runes, but everytime they hit you you lose runes, and/or with 0 hp they toss you down a floor. I also find it lackluster that i cant see the other floors above and below me, and how the vine is only 5 foot tall. Should be a floating rocks stepping stone deal.

7b-Elemental armors could tie in with perks to help against against the elemental golems, bringing life back to those items and causing players to go craft new sets. Maybe chaos etc are bad entities/events themselves or hazards/events the armor can help againt, including an elemental maelstrom.

7c-Now the nodes themselves. Theyre should definitely be base veins, in other words a fireball, water jet, vortex, earth, maybe combo nodes, but i dont think the rest have a place in runespan, i feel it should be a clash of the main elements. And being it the main elements the ones you can make the most runes of would be the best xp givers, giving you more dynamic xp gain along with the need for runes, maybe unique spells to trap the golems in place or confuse them

7d-I do not feel mind, body, soul, death, and nature nodes belong there in the maelstrom of elements, let alone cosmic and chaos but they can all be relevant through the elemental armors from the workshop. Maybe time for astral armor too. The armors also could use a facelift.

7e-And essence should be brought up in crates, not floating around. Why it's floating there makes no sense, and neither does chipping it it from the creatures. That essence would already be imbued... that's tacky nonsense, and not the good kind.

8-COMBAT ADDENDUMS AND TWEAKS

8a-Revolution bar needs to skip over abilities we are not leveled enough to use rather than halt our revolution bars progress entirely! Im tired of trying to help newbies get over these revolution bar issues in the fray, let alone dealing with it myself.

8b-Enchanted mage armor should get reworked as f2p level 45 power armor. Melee has plenty of power armor already. Snakeskin can be reworked as the level 40 power armor for free to play and robin hood could be reworked as a tier 60 power armor that's not demon based. That new skull mask mage power armor could be reissued as a low level necromancy power armor mask. Mask of dragith nurn early mage power armor.

8c-Mage abilities should reflect around your chosen basic element, or depending on which element your using your able to use different abilities, with most base abilities reflecting your choice.

8d-Archery should have blunt, slash, and piercing ammo types. I always liked how the composite ogre bow had the blunt arrow type and was sad it didn't really have a use other than for a quest. I think other bows should get these capabilities. So broadheads for slashing, nails for blunt tips, and the regular field tips are pierce. This gives bow and arrow the melee edge of weakness advantage, and existing enchanted crossbow bolts can be adjusted to reflect a more elemental mage sided weakness advantage, hopefully increasing their usage. There will probably have to be a mid tier bolt with variety of enchanted types like the bakriminals. Or all the existing enchanted gem bolts should scale up to mid tier regardless of base metal. The latter would definitely increase their prevalence. Wouldn't hurt to change the blurite bolts tipped version to a more trade friendly bolt type like iron or steel with jade tips instead.

8e-There should be a composite bow for every tier of wood besides base. Or at least acadia and up. Composite bows should also be craftable. All composite bows should be scopeable besides the ogre bows, and as such their special ability should be snipe, and no other bows should be scopeable. Composite bows should have the slowest fire rate and the highest range after adding scope followed by longbow/2h crossbow, and then shortbow/1h crossbows, having the fastest but shortest range. I mean they all need a rework in general and more abilities but more importantly they should get more differentiating flavor from each other. Especially between 2h and 1h variants. But dual wielding crossbows should be just as efficient as running a shortbow. Longbows and 2h crossbows should get bombardement (renamed arrowstorm and with a less explosive animation) explained by more gravity in their fall given by the heavier bowstrings. Corruption shot seems like a long bow thing. Obviously fast shooting and double arrows is shortbow/1h crossbow stuff. Shortbow will have to be registered as a dual wield rather than 2 handed.

8f-Throwing weapons should be made to where throwing knives are slash, axes are crush, and javelins are stab, and darts could be a faster weaker stab. Also javelins should have the appropriate offhands either removed or added. We need consistency. possibly more throwable weapons or maybe morrigan's superiors could scale to top tier? Does leave us lacking in the knife and dart department. And craftable javelins please? Maybe throwing weapons work with melee armor. Maybe count as melee damage or at least dont get a melee penalty.

8g-Throwable weapons shouldn't be able to use ranged abilities, but if you want to tie them in they shouldn't get all ranged abilities and should only get certain flavors of it, depending on if dual wielded or not.

8h-Holy water vials (made by priest blessing vials of water or with 99 prayer and silver dust maybe) as a new chinchompa like projectile to throw at undead. Or just a single target throwable.

8i-Shouldnt the acadia bows be in Valaine's shop in the guild and not in the general archery store in varrock?

8j-Godbows should be upgradeable with items and arrows should scale.

8k-Basic melee sets need the whole weapon suite. In fact in free to play the only 2 handed weapons we have are greatswords, we should get mauls and greataxes as well for all base metals.

8l-Spears, hastas, and halberds for f2p let alone the ability to craft them period. I don't understand why halberds are not craftable.

8m-Give us the white knight spear and off hand white knight weapons please as well as the black knight crossbows. Maybe a white knight bow.

8n-Sets need appropriate set boxing. Ergo the dragonhide sets not holding hoods, boots, or shields. Melee armor too. Maybe even lower tier sets like carapace leather etc.

8o-Let us make blue dragon vambraces in f2p already.

8p-The kharidian khopeshs and drygores are scimitars. Being so we need a masterwork longsword and masterwork shield. The combat style of drygores and khopeshs is definitely scimitar styled whereas leng sword being paired with a dagger fits well already, one longer one short. Like katanas.

8q-Why do mitres give a range bonus? Make them hybrid and just give a good prayer bonus.

8r-Stat protecting prayers, maybe a branch of magic and prayer to heal and un-debuff teammates let alone the self. Probably magic I don't know. Also maybe its time for some God prayer and spell based books? Zamorak saradomin etc.. We need bardic like team healer buffer classing. Doesn't have to be the whole build but sacrifice some dps to run a team healing spellbook kind of thing. Sacrifice some prayers or run a weapon with team benefitting special ability but not max dps.

8s-I feel like all the codex ultimatus stuff is better off in new god spell/prayer books. On another note I don't know why ice would heal... Maybe something more divine and guthix related instead for that.

8t-Weight should have more of an impact on stamina, dashes, and even prevent rolls. Maybe just distance preserving our invincibility frame. More importantly chainmail should be lighter and effect it as so, also enabling rolls. Or not. In other words light armor and heavy armor categories in the melee class. Maybe that's what will set apart what is power armor and what is tank, and maybe that could expand to ranged and mage as well. Besides a few niche sets/pieces of course.

8u-Field rations should cost more, heal 1000, and only be usable on teammates. Might be a great addition for bossing.

8v-We should be able to have our biscuits blessed in edgeville and/or be able to bless them ourselves with 99 prayer. Would be nice to have those be more prevalent in the game.

8w-Skill gear needs actual boosts, perks, abilities, or utilizations other than just boosting experience. A good example is how the prayer cape which you get at max prayer...lets you level prayer in your house... Like all these skill outfits and skillcapes should do more than just give extra xp. I should get some fruits for my labors and have a reason to wear this killer suit/cape i ground for. Hoardstalker outfit could be wearable into dung and provide 5 percent more boss damage, competing for the gorjoran set for best in slot. 1st age tiara teleport to ectofuntus maybe?

8x-Prayer skillcape ability is... well...pointless as it is. Prayer book from the brain robbery can cure poison in others if chosen recite for other, also no longer requires amulet with prayer skillcape. Maybe a way to also learn a stat debuff removal prayer to use with the book. Can also be held in the pocket slot and provide a decent prayer bonus. Maybe prayer skillcape can also share the buff from the holy wrench with teammates, providing more slot competition and team based roles.

8y-Starfury armor should be purchasable from the shooting star store.

8z-Pith helmet should buff excavation rate or something.

Question Will RS3 ever get proper world bosses?

Title essentially

Something I've always thought would be great in RS3 is a world boss system similar to Guild Wars 2. Theres soemthing super nostalgic about GW2 bosses, and where maybe? wildy events missed the mark, if that was ever the intention. Shatterer from GW2 or a Youtube example for this fight

Something like, every few hours a massive boss spawns at a specific location, and everyone on the world can head over to participate (or even instanced/server wide) like FPF.

You'd have to actually participate in the fight to qualify for rewards, with things like DPS, mechanics and overall contribution determining your loot. At the end, everyone gets a reward chest with a chance at something worthwhile.

And I don't mean the old Wilderness Flash Events. Those were basically just show up, kill KBD in 30 seconds, grab your loot and leave.

I'm talking about proper large-scale boss encounters, with phases, mechanics, maybe even objectives the community has to complete before the boss becomes available. Something that actually feels like you're fighting alongside 50+ other players rather than just standing in the same spot.

RS3 has a pretty solid bossing system already, but almost all of it revolves around solo or small-group encounters. I feel like there's a massive opportunity for something more community-driven.

Would something like this actually work in RS3, or would the combat system, poor execution and population make it a nightmare?

Discussion - J-Mod reply Reduce the amount of worlds?

Would it be an idea to possibly lower the amount of worlds that people play on / have a few be auto selected for newer accounts?

A lot of complaints that people have and wanted reignited for was the sense of community. The game is somewhat "dead" in the world compared to OSRS as it's too spread out on different worlds.

This would be nice for even veteran players I imagine, I atleast would like it.

Suggestion Idea for marks of war

• Upvotes

Could marks of war be used to purchase drop enhancers?

Similar to how dungeoneering can buy lucky charms.

But rather than enhancing chance of rare tradeable items the marks of war enhancers could boost pet rates/trophy rates?

Or have the marks of war be used to purchase towards boss pet thresholds?

Suggestion New Era Compendium Pt. 1, My Suggestions To Fix RS3

Over the past few years i have noticed the chaos and uncertainty on the developers end, as well as spending time with communities in both members and f2p.

1-CRAFTING/SMITHING/MINING QOL REFURB

The economy has some issues with a lot of early game content and junk among other things, so i propose some much needed changes to help fix through the implementation of smeltdown and other f2p things.

1a-Gemstone mining nodes should be tougher and take longer to mine scaling with pick tier, and both uncommon and common nodes should be combined into the same node with common and uncommon chances for the gems, and the gembag should hold all gemstones. As it stands now money is easy to grind afk with alts. This rework rewards mining level. Lapis and other metamorphic stones im going to mention should be rare with low drop odds from pocket geodes. Less gemstones on the market will also encourage players to craft things to level rather than just wizz through it cutting gems.

1b-I see potential in brooches especially in the pocket slot but dont really know how to work it in. But it could just be a rare flavorful f2p thing worn in the pocket slot. Knots are rare drops from all trees, maybe falling on the ground similar to birds nests but also dropping in f2p giving new players a taste of that mechanic, and lapis and other metamorphic stones a rare drop from the inventory geodes. Maybe a different color geode for all the classes. All for pocket slot brooches of course. Feldspar for ranged, garnet for melee, lapis for mage, agate for necromancy, pearl for prayer, and ammonite for summoning (ammonite being a rare cage fishing drop). Maybe in members or late f2p these brooches can be trimmed and finished with gold with adequate crafting level boosting their bonuses.

1c-Existing brooches will have to be turned into the well and reissued to avoid too many, and the ring of luck will need a new stone, maybe made with irony of crushed gemstones. Maybe rings of luck are made with all 4 metamorphic rocks explaining their all encompassing bonuses.

1d-Smithing/fletching/crafting should require leather strips, wood, cloth etc.

1e-Smeltdown, the ability to smeltdown smithed gear and/or salvage pieces to ingots. Probably junkier smelter setups made of clay in certain lower status locations. Gotta have one in free to play probably rimmington and next to the ge at that outlaw camp like they sell salvage for a living Or in the wildie to incentivize trips to the bandit camp there. Depends on if pvp is coming back or if danger is a fun incentive for this idea. Could just be incorporated into the smelter too.

1f-Dissassemble could be a basic destroy ability period and can break items down into components/salvage by choice and only give invention xp and components after invention is unlocked. You can switch between physical pieces or invention components. Or maybe you get both. And then you can disassemble those too. Can choose whether you disassemble an item and all yields or just the primary item and can choose to do the yields yourself in settings.

1g-Smithing needs some better animations. Be nice if when forging weapons we're holding a hot rod that we're actually whacking, and a plate held with tongs when we are smithing armor. And when heating items we actually hold those things in the furnace, rather than look like we're smelting more ore, which looks kind of silly. also everybody hates the obnoxious sound effects as they are now.

2-GATHERING OVERHAUL AND TWEAKS

I think foraging would be a fun adventurous niche to make money. Rewarding farming levels with a high octane dungeon delver style of cave diving with a good payout. Another clue scroll like pass time to earn income and have fun with friends. Foraging will add traffic to underground pass like cave systems as well as other existing caves. I do not want to see this as a minigame, i envision this as a new farming related gather skill, where I'll see people run by as I'm fighting my slayer tasks or journeying to Priffdinas for the first times. So i propose the cabinet backpack, as well as changes to other harvesting storage providing balance between the containers, instead of just carrying them all at once.

2a-The foragers cabinet (looks like the alchemist backpack cabinet from the game Outward) and is used to run around and forage mushrooms and other reagents. I propose not only more dark caves, but dangerous caves. Dark, full of traps, ripper demons, gas, but the premise is you would take these boxes and go on foraging runs, hunting the depths to search for randomly spawning mushrooms (tombshrooms, bittercaps etc). Some non farmable mushrooms (demons hunch and ashback maybe) should be added as well for the highest tier herbology, maybe for making antibiotics for my POF rework i mention as the big payout chase. Maybe pickable limpwurt, herbs, harvestable newt colonies requiring hunter maybe, as well as other reagents. Colonies would probably harvest like a tree. More shrooms than just farming them, and maybe require less farming levels to just forage them. Possibly a glove requirement. Plain leather or some special gloves?

2b-Ore boxes and wood boxes with their tiers are just a nuisance. Rather than just buy the best tier people buy all the proceeding tiers and get gouged for it because there isn't any on the market for a reasonable price all while not knowing they can just use the best tier. Instead we should have back slot items. The lumber rack and the ore bag, both for the cape slot, auto filling as we harvest. No tiers, craftable with crafting. Possibly untradeable? I also suggest including a fishing basket, and maybe the bonesack from the strange old man can store bones? Be nice if we could get his bag and hat at the same time.

2c-Maybe the gem bag from dungeoneering and the herb sack should become their own independent back slot items too. Maybe the herb sack should become part of the foragers cabinet i mentioned.

2d-Wood boxes could be repurposed as a separate inventory reagent chest in inventory for other things like fever grass, rosemary, marigolds, nettles. Could help with farming. Or maybe the box is just a smaller version of the alchemy box that can be carried at the same time as well as the herb bag. I don't know. Different components that could be added to the foragers cabinet with crafting level maybe or carried alongside in inventory as is.

2e-Pickaxes, hatchets, noose wands, fishing rods, lobster cages, big net, and harpoon should all have to be equipped/carried. The tool belt is still nice for smaller easily carryable tools, pretty much everything else, and could also hold a sowing needle or few as well as a thread spool we can refill, up to 1000 thread. Sowing is an on the go thing after all.

2f-The farming sacks and baskets for farming need to encompass the rest of produce, and leprechauns shouldn't be able to note produce. Farming should take some work.

3-FISHING OVERHAUL

As it stands now fishing is the most depressing skill where i have met the most depressed people. Anytime i walk past barbarian village or lumbridge goblins i see countless piles of trout and salmon just being dropped on the ground and people just endlessly fishing and not really...living... Doing that skill. Cage fishing as a whole is irrelevant. So i propose some much needed changes.

3a-Barbarian fishing and the basic mixture potions should be usable and tradable in f2p. Only way they'll see any use. Another Otto could stand on the river near the barbarian village for just the barbarian fishing techniques and mix recipes. An otherwise completely unused item set will once again dominate and add true potion relevance to free to play. Of course this follows my proposition to raise the herbology cap to 15 in f2p.

3b-Also harpoons need a slight rework. The barb tail needs a level requirement boost and slight catch rate increase. And to make barbarian fishing good remove harpoon from the tool belt and make it so barbarian fishing happens anytime harpoons aren't on your person and you know the techniques.

3c-Ashdale should get revamped and provide as a better fishing hub for all levels of shore based sea fishing, like a new karamja, especially for f2p. If you want to add some deep sea flavor too that's your choice. Minnows need to see some integration into the rest of the game as well.

3d-I also propose big net fishing be brought to f2p as well. The only time i personally have big net fished was for the seers village achievement... Once. I imagine all this fishing being able to be done on ashdale, except for river fishing of course. Pretty much all the big net fish are just disassemble fodder in members as it stands. I think f2p will enjoy and actually use a wider variety of fish. Seaweed is at least compostable, and caskets obviously will remain a members drop.

3e-Also another reason to open the lumbridge caves and maybe add some cool cave type fish and reagents somehow. Maybe another option for high level fishing. I'm vouching heavily for the cave to be for f2p. I'm not saying f2p can use the fish or the reagents but i like the idea of f2p players gathering stuff for members to use to earn money.

3f-Also besides using the hand for fishing maybe having offcuts passively consume to increase catch rate as bait being consumed each catch attempt. And the ability to turn all fish into offcuts that dont see much use like sardines/anchovies/minnows/bass etc. in other words you could carve up your tuna to try and catch more swordfish (or sharks in members).

3g-An added chance to get crab chitin very rarely when caging would be nice, crab meat could remain locked behind the quest and maybe found in cages after quest, maybe both. Oh and kelp could be compostable too. Maybe a sushi recipe would be nice to add relevance to seaweed and kelp for f2p and make new useful food items.

3h-Crab gear could be repurposed as follows: Crab helmet- fishing summon +1 fishing lvl bonus Crab claw- barbarian hand fishing catch rate Crab amulet- cage fishing success rate

4-GAMEPLAY TWEAKS AND ADDENDUMS

F2P has a problem where questing doesn't seem all that important to new players, and in general everyone seems kind of aimless, i aim to help give players activities to pursue and reasons to actually quest, and to eventually complete the pinnacle f2p quest i suggest is added.

4a-Highlight players from chat with right click on chat text. To help find them in crowded areas.

4b-Antipoison potions and poisonous creatures in world and dungeoneering for f2p. Let king black dragon have his full glory! It will make everything more interesting and players will always want to come back and play more. Especially in members. I also believe slayer beasts should be involved in f2p but not slayer levels as much. Incentivizing members and adding danger. Ripper demons scared the crap out of me. Herblore up to level 15 for f2p would be necessary, and Dungeoneering cure potions should only cure poison.

4c-Rings of wealth and amulets of glory see no use in members when there's the ring of fortune and amulet of fury so i suggest along with a nerf (and rework of amulet of power) they be moved to free to play for their teleportation abilities especially. Stats probably brought in line and ring of luck and amulet of power repurposed. Maybe instead the amulet of power becomes necromancy. Also need trimmed ranged/accuracy, defense, and wealth amulets.  The heroes quest should be the pinnacle free to play quest. Not much is given up from members to go to entrana for a firebird and under ice mountain to kill the witch queen. And lava eels can be caught in the wildie. The extra geodes and tier 2 luck can be unavailable to free to play but gain those benefits when players upgrade to members.

4d-A new cape equal/better to that of lower tier veteran capes from Dragonslayer called the champions cape giving new players more direction and reason to do that quest. As it stands now there isn't one really. The drapes should be reissued as a rarer find amongst enemies being that they are the only f2p stat boosting capes. Or just added as random loot amongst mobs if the new cape i suggested is added.

4e-Pathfinder armor should be given to newbies again, probably nerfed, and implemented by quest. Probably death plateau. The weapons can be added to other quests and maybe buffed. Not a lot of special weapon attacks at lower levels. Increases incentive for questing. Keenblade from the death of chivalry, Quickbow from stolen hearts, and the Mindspike from Imp catcher.

4f-Im not saying f2p can use the reagents but i like the idea of f2p players gathering stuff for members to use to earn money. For instance i wish the swamp pastes could be gathered in f2p and sold on ge to members. Let alone that f2p could taste cave diving.

4g-F2p should use candles and torches (considering all the lower tier light sources are useless) and also get the lumbridge cave and maybe members should get more dark caves period. F2P should also get the lanterns that can use the candles as well incentivising use and crafting for those items. Other than that everybody just kind of buys a bullseye lantern from the ge. Might be best to make lamps untradeable. The components are fine. Maybe require crafting levels to assemble candle, oil, and bullseye lamps. Bullseye lamps should be able to run out of oil and the miners helmet should use oil as well. Also the lorehound should only carry emergency torches. Not free bullseye lanterns. An alternative idea is bullseye lamps could be an invention thing as well and run on "divine charge".

4h-All these light sources should also have to be held in the offhand slot, and emit a visible radius allowing piggybacking by other players whose lightsource went out. Bullseye lanterns should not only run out of oil/divine charge but also have the biggest radius.

Ensouled pumpkin masks and the smashable pumpkin head will have to lose their light effect. Possibly the lower 3 levels of the seers crown as well. Maybe the tier 4 seers crown light is only for you and cannot be piggybacked as well.

4i-Morwenna could be re-added to ashdale as a tougher quest with boss and the headress boosting necromancy. Looks like a lot of work went into some of that and i never got to experience that quest myself. Maybe her helm buffs xp from necromancy combat or grants a chance to save ectoplasm. I can envision an impressive rework.

4j-The Citharde amulet should also have the best f2p prayer bonus giving more relevance to the questline for f2p players.

4k-More meat foods need to be added to portents including rabbits and minnows, and more beef like meats should be able to be turned into sinew, like rat meat.

4l-All teleport overrides should be completed packages, complete with quick teleport overrides and ring animation overrides.

4m-Graphical bug fixes for the rune medium helm and tyras helm, hot chocolate rest, and certain off-hand overrides like the fortune tellers orb.

Question No more Runescore Hiscores?

• Upvotes

I know sometime in the last year or so, the Runescore hiscores got hidden behind catagories. There was not a tab for it, but you could still access hiscores for Runescore.

It Looks like the hiscores page got an overhaul recently, and all the previous categories show by default under the skills section…except for Runescore. There is no field for Runescore, and no way of accessing Runescore hiscores under the overhauled system.

Am I missing something with the new system, or has Runescore been completely removed from the hiscores pages?

If removed, I see this as a pretty big L. it’s the only ‘hiscore’ I really cared about, as it is for many others with the dream of max Runescore.

Discussion Why did you start playing RuneScape?

Given recent events, thought it would be nice to remember what got us into the game in the first place!

Personally, I started playing 20 years ago because a friend recommended the game. They walked me through Tutorial Island and then I walked myself straight to Draynor and got killed by a jail guard. Good times.

Side note: maybe we'll be able to get more new players if we all go outside and make some friends lol

Question Runescape chat interface questions

How do i make clan chat go in this box?

Atm it's only private and all

And are there any other chat boxes i need?

Also, how do i make the filter option that's supposed to be at the left of the box, meaning to filter all the uninmportant stuff out

I see an option atm to choose what to filter out, but there was a filter option before that did it automatically and i didn't have to select anything? ty guys

Suggestion Add Forgotten Paintings and Tetracompasses to Clue Carrier?

Simple suggestion, allow us to store Forgotten Paintings/pieces and Tetracompass/pieces inside the Clue Carrier. They're basically an alternate take on Clues, and would help clear up some bank slots.

Discussion I want to come back and try RS3, here’s my thoughts

I converted to osrs on launch, it’s been 13 years since then. That’s 13 years of updates and new content on RS3. I have absolutely no idea what’s going on and it’s completely overwhelming to try to play the game that I used to know and love. I would love to give it a try again since the removal of p2w, but I don’t understand the game because it changed SO much.

If there was a video highlighting/explaining all the updates and new content that someone could watch prior to coming back, it would be so helpful and make the experience coming back better. It would likely be hours long and take extreme effort to create a video like this, but that’s what would help bring people in.

I wouldn’t want reignited if I was an rs3 player. I’d actually be pissed. If Jagex put forth some effort into a video like this bringing people up to speed it would bring back players, but they won’t. If a passionate member of the rs3 community with immense game knowledge, or perhaps even a group were to make a video updating us on the past 13 years, myself and others would give it a try. It’s genuinely just overwhelming to try to come back to a game that’s completely different for the one we played for years.

Suggestion Ideas on improving bolts. Add yours in too

So the new crossbows are objectively weaker in raw damage than the Bolg/Elder God arrows.

That's completely ok as the Bolg requires a high level of skill to max it's DPS effectively.

I was thinking ideas for bolts could be they are a sidestep in utility purposes over raw dmg

Ideas like

Inflicting debuffs not just defense reduction but reducing a mobs accuracy/damage. So there could be an additional angle to be a teams debuff support. Or maybe something to add a debuff to a bosses primary target, so you could help your teammate by using these bolts. Of course these ideas would need to be balanced carefully

Or maybe inflicting a style specific debuff, so rather than a generic after being hit defense is reduced by X, it could be after being inflicted by this debuff, the boss or mob would take increased damage from magic based attacks, or boss/mob will deal less damage to players wearing mage armour etc , could be balanced by it applying an inverse so maybe it debuffs certain styles but ups others

Prayer restoration perhaps

Bleed bolts / Damage over time

Reducing affinity (I am aware that SWH exists)

A small prayer restoration effect

A stun proc that delays a bosses adrenaline bar gain but doesn't completely negate it

Just throwing some ideas out there,

Appreciation I've been bugging the Mods for like 2 years about this.. Thank you Jagex for finally listening!

I don't even alt-Scape like that, but I've started a lot of different accounts over the last 25 years, and thus I've been sitting at a full 20/20 for a while. I was starting to worry that I wouldn't have space to make a new character if a new mode might arise in the future.

Thank you Jagex for listening!
